Absolutely amazing. Super excited for this, great work guys!
Excited!
Superb. Can't wait to use this tool.
This is great!
Interesting, yet you can set up the exact same system in Resolve, which then also gives you the option to directly sync with FrameIO for reviews. You'd have every annotation / comment in your timeline in real time. Highlighting the clips in the asset browser is also a given, and assiging colors for state of progress also. In Resolve you additionally have "smart bins" that takes this to the next level, like letting Resolve detect persons in your shot automatically and sort them in bins by character names etc. Not that i wouldn't want to try out Watchtower and see where it's heading though ;)
WOW amazingaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is there demeter stream coming up
They should setup a Watchtower cloud service, and charge for using that. This looks pretty awesome. I bet most don't want to setup their own, rather just use a service. More funding ...
$1500 / year for a team of up to 4 (on the project). 300 companies sign up. That's good funding. You might think how do we get 300 companies -- VR headsets coming strong soon. 3D will BLOW UP
Cool
HOLY MOLLYYYYYY
Interesting
Where can i find it to download and use in my projects?
I always thought Blender Studio was using Kitsu for their shot tracking
From the blog post:
"Watchtower was developed during the creation of Sprite Fright, originally as a Blender add-on called edit-breakdown, and subsequently as a web application."
Also:
"Watchtower is a web application that can fetch data from a live Kitsu web API or from JSON files, allowing it to be used in a production environment with user authentication (Kitsu server), or integrated with other task management software via JSON data interchange."
If you watch the Sprite Fright weekly updates in this Blender Studio channel, you can see that Blender Studio indeed uses Kitsu. We even made a Blender add-on to connect to it. studio.blender.org/blog/kitsu-addon-for-blender/
What you see in this video, Watchtower, is just a visualization layer that takes data from Kitsu/Zou (or JSON files) and displays it in a more bird's-eye-view way.
Why do all drop-down menus look consistent on Mac OS, but on Windows you use a very old type of context menu?
Maby the API....?
Noice
Is this a addon?
gimme dat!
Software name
that's very cool, when are you going to solve all the problems we AMD users have?
What a mess of a layout.
