  • The EUNORAU E-FAT-MN is a value priced, sturdy, and very approachable electric folding fat-tire bike at $1,199 and comes in 2 frame styles (step-through or mid-step) 1 color (matte black), and 1 frame size. 500watt Shengyi fat-tire specific hub-drive, 48v 12.5ah high capacity battery, with throttle and 5 modes of cadence based pedal assist. A lot of great features like included steel fenders, battery integrated lights in the front, gel seat, derailleur guard, and rear rack. 8 magnet cadence sensor is a little more basic, you must keep the keys in the battery to operate it, and there is no battery integrated rear light.

    For about $100 more, you can get nearly the identical bike from GreenBikeUSA (GB1 Fat Tire) except the GB1 has: "9 levels of assist" (not sure how that compares to five, as 9 has always seemed like overkill to me); The battery is 48V,10.4Ah; The LCD display is much nicer with graphed power output; there is an adjustable front fork shock; a headlight AND a tail light with turn signals (I think I like the Eunorau headlight better); GBUSA has their own rear rack that they sell purpose made panniers for; there are only 6 gears whereas the Eunorau has seven (Eunorau has that granny gear that I think the reviewer demonstrated is not necessary if you have power). Both bikes have seats that flip out of the way of the battery (though the Eunorau looks like it may be more comfortable); the trigger throttle for the GB1 is on the right side and does not interfere with the identical shifter. The GB1 has a choice of six colors.
    I'm not sure why EBR has consistently refused to review GreenBike USA, but I have found them competent, and also responsive to warranty needs. Their Carbon Light folding bike at 37.5 lbs seems like a no brainer for those who want a folding bike as last mile or intermediate mile transport from public transit.

    That was a fun review. Nice price! Will the tariff kerfuffle affect that price; lots of steel in that frame and components. Thank you for demoing the facts of life on the throttle pedal assist from stand still to kick in with the 8 magnet cadence sensor. Lesson learned.

    The DJ folding bike is a lot better with 750 watt bafang motor and front suspensión and it also comes with integrated front and back lights.

    I've had mine for a year, the folding mechanism can go to hell lol it creaks so bad, the front suspension... i guess I'm to light for it to even work? Why tf no back suspension?? My rims are so bents it's not even funny. In the settings you can make it go 38kmh🤷‍♂️ pretty good, although for the price I hate this thing... please if you can get something with full suspension. This is strictly for gravel roads grass and concrete, you will not be very confident doing many jumps or hitting things such as speed bumps. The battery😏 is sexy, I've overcharged this multiple time for 6+hours and my baby still goes 1-2 weeks on one charge! The only maintenance I've done in the a little over a year is more oil for the breaks and a lot of tightening. The chain is impossible to fall off and I rode it through winter with the only downside being very slightly rusted breaks, rusted chain and pedals (yes they fell off afterwards). This thing is super resilient, I am not a good owner to this thing and it's going to be another year before I even think of turning it in. The charger is horrible, you have it plugged in for 2 hours and the power brick will be hot enough for 3rd degree burns! Like I was saying about the breaks, they really are one of the best I've had in my life, from 38-0 with slamming the breaks you'll stop in around 2-3 seconds! Take everything I've said into consideration if you're thinking of getting one for yourself, I paid just over $2000 cnd and I'm happy but wish I had bought an e-MTB

    It’s a Swagtron EB8, but the swag is sold at Walmart or at least on their website for like 300-400$ cheaper all considered. So many clones out there, but when I see something like this I just deem it price gouging of the consumer. 1/10 stars

      The 2nd time up it looked like youre almost falling over LOL. I am thinking it either needs you peddling or a 750W motor for better ascent without peddling.
      All these 20" fat tire bikes seem to have the 500W geared hub motor in common -- this was the slowest hill climbing one I have seen to date, but I will give that due to the grade.
      Cheers

    • @wolf6gc72
      @wolf6gc72 4 роки тому

      Yess, a true 500w motor would have cllimbed much faster, this is more like 250w motor nominal like those Bosch motors, i hope they are not lying us..
