Storm chasers do not get enough credit!! They are often the very first responders when tornadoes and hurricanes hit. I've seen so many videos of storm chasers stopping mid-chase to help people, check on cars parked on the side of the road, search destroyed houses and buildings, and rush people to the hospital. They are most often in rural towns that don't have many ambulances or emergency responders so they're really so invaluable!
Correct!
A lot of the are trained for search and rescue, and are paramedics. Which is really good, since they will usually be the first ones there. They are heroes.
@@tamitami9275: Actually, most of them are not. And while some are, others are self-trained due to the need they witness.
They care more then the Government and Police do.

My son and I saw this live. They didn't show it but they saved the family dog too. Also the parents were beyond grateful because there was no cell phone service. Truly heroic and thank God they survived! An angel led Freddy to them. My daddy used to say that you can rebuild things but not human life. God bless them all!
💯❤️🙏
Freddy sat in his car with the dog while the family was inside the hospital. The dad came out for the pup once he was taken care of. Freddy McKinney is an incredible young man.
I have so much gratitude to the man who helped this family and their dog. the dog was running right along with them. AMEN thank you sir. and thank you for the update I could not stop thinking about them
Yes thank goodness they survived... My heart and prayers go out to everyone in this city and many others.. May God bless each and every one of you 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏💗💗💗💗
And you just brought up an issue that can also happen even in the cities, no cell service. But, even most police and other responders do listen to the emergency channel 9 on CB radio. Channel 9 is supposed to always be open for emergencies. Also, now there are hand-held shortwave radio/transmitters that have up to 500 mile range and even though one needs a license to use one for everyday use, you do not need a license to use one in an emergency. CB units are cheap and ones used in autos run on 12 volts. And the shortwave units are getting cheaper all of the time.
It is hard to put into words how it felt to see this live. Thank God the family got to safety and God Bless Freddy McKinney for being such an amazing person.
I was watching this young Storm Chaser on UA-cam when this happened and can't say enough about how he got that family into the car and rushed them to the hospital. He talked to them the whole way to reassure them that they would be alright. McKinney was definitely a hero that day.
Freddy you are a hero you should be proud of yourself
Freddy and Reed are just a few of the chasers that show us that not all heroes wear capes. ❤❤❤
I watched this live. Thank God he was chasing this tornado! I think the more youtuber tornado chasers out there the better for victims to get help more quickly.
Absolutely, I agree!!
So did I. I didn't see him pick them up. I clicked on the photo link in MyRadar which was his live feed and he was getting on the highway to go to the hospital and after listening to their conversation for a while, I could tell what happened. I'm glad I got to see the start now and more importantly, the interview with the family on the news. That tornado eventually past just to the north of my place.
I have renewed respect for storm chasers! Couple of Saturdays ago, when the Sulphur, OK tornado hit, NOAA hadn't yet "tornado warning" it. I was watching Max Velocity since the OKC weather folks had gone off the air already. The tornado was "radar indicated" but not verified. Watched it from the time it touched down in Ardmore, OK, and worked it's way north towards us. Finally one of the chasers, stationed at the Highway 1 bypass west of town, spotted the twister. I picked up the phone to page my 87 yr. old mother, and about that time the sirens went off. She had about 2 minutes to get in her safe spot, me also. The sirens don't go off until NOAA warns the storm, so if it weren't for the UA-camrs and storm chasers that could have been much, much worse.
Freddy is one of my favorite chasers - he respects the storms and remains calm and level headed - unlike some other more famous chasers. He received some criticism for filming this at first in the chat, so I'm glad he is getting his due props now.
I think the governors of these states need to recognize these storm chasers for all that they do. Often times, they're the 1st on the scene before any help can reach them and they help, do whatever they can. These guys deserve so much more recognition and pay for what they do.
Freddy went out his way to look for survivors and handled the stress and trauma of that awful situation like a hero! I watched the whole thing live and it was a miracle that was not killed. Freddy was so calm and professional during that rescue. He drove for miles to get them to a hospital. A true hero indeed!
How terrifying 😱😨. God bless that storm chaser for getting them to safety
His name is Freddy McKinney. He's only about 21 but has been doing this for years - as has his father, John. Remember his name. You'll hear it often, I'm sure! ❤
Reed Timmer just recused a family today earlier. Freddy, Connor, and Reed are the best.
I believe Connor left storm chasing at that time to go find Freddy and check on him even after he found out what he was doing. God bless them all!
He did! They chased together today. Very good guys🤗
Connor wouldn’t even answer his phone when Freddy was calling because he was chasing! He said it himself. I don’t know how they got together but I heard Freddy had the dog and Connor left him to go chase😮
@@ShelleySmithson Your point? They're young. When the adrenaline is running, I think it's easy to get caught up in the chase. Connor went out, not chasing, after he checked on Freddy, to make sure the rotating storm didn't produce another tornado. He was worried about it going towards the hospital that the Lambert family and Freddy were at.
I went into Connors stream after Freddys Dad shut his down and he was saying he saw all the calls from Freddy but he was streaming off his phone and wasn’t quitting to get his calls. To me that doesn’t make Connor a friend to be counted on! I was so appalled by Connor’s attitude I left Connor’s chase after I said that Freddy had just saved a family! To make sure he knew what an a.. he was being 😉😉
Thank you Freddy. You're an angel. We all owe you and will keep you in our prayers.
Watched this live. Thank God that feddy was there at the right time.
Freddy saved them. Blessings to all.
I was on the live stream, and have been a long time supporter of Freddy McKinney. So proud of him, and happy the family is on the road to recovery.
God bless you Freddy McKinny🙏❤
Reed Timmer just did something like this about an hour ago just outside of Robert Lee. There was a flipped truck and two people and a dog stuck out in the middle of nowhere.
He did! I saw it too!
but driven into the Bears cage before
@@obsidianwing doesn't change the fact that he saved those people
I truly believe God put Freddy in that place at that time to help that family. Home destroyed, family members injured and no way to call for help, and at that moment Freddy shows up.
Exactly. He literally appeared on a dirt road to nowhere.
Ummm, but didn't god create the damn tornado in the first place.
Please make that make sense.
@@bodombeastmode No. God made the physics but he isn't spinning up tornados.
God is in control!
Freddy was there because the tornado was there. If God put Freddy there, then got put the tornado there.
This is Freddy Mckinney and he was live on youtube while it happened, i was there. People like this deserve more attention and credit. The mom said that Freddy was like an angel to him because she was praying that somebody would come.
Freddy McKinney you are a hero! Watched this live, it was amazing. Didnt even think, just jumped into action
Freddy is a hero as is all the others on the ground at that moment🫶🙏🫶🇺🇸
Oh my gosh i can not imagine going through that God bless Freddy been there for the family at that time prayers for them and everyone else in that town
I love our Storm Chasers! They are there not just to chase, but always looking to se if everyone is okay! Kudos! ❤
Good they were concious when freddy came. He had no idea the exact location to call in for assistance. But..incidents like this are working out the bugs to make things better. Chasers are telling people where these things are, in real time. Radar can indicate a likelihood, but chasers see them drop. They call out..its on main street headed north! Such things were unheard of only a few years ago.
Watched it live on the stream. Absolute hero. Stayed super focus and knew exactly what to do
On behalf of everyone in the U.S. bless these storm chasers for stopping to help these folks. What a kind selfless thing to do. You are my hero(s) for showing this love and compassion. And to the family, may you be safe going forward. My love to all of you, both those rescued and the rescuers.
Absolutely!!!! 💯 They're incredible people who help others on the spot!!!
Praise God for having the storm follower there at the right time to help those people 💕
This just brings tears to my eyes! Way to go, Freddy!! ❤
The fact that the little boy was able to run to the car after what he went through is truly remarkable! I've watched this 3 times and am balling my eyes out! This is a real life nightmare! Thank God they survived! 🙏🙏🙏🙏💕💕
Freddy is a real hero. He had a terrible incident with a tornado last year that really scared him, he vowed to be more safe when chasing and not take anymore risks. But he took a huge risk in helping these guys and that's a big testament to his courage and character.
Ouch!! Well done storm chasers. I am here in very safe Great Britain but I have spent many happy hours up and around Albany and that area and today I still have a small pen knife in my pocket I purchased in that town. Stay safe everyone.
I watched this live. Freddy didn't hesitate to get them into his car and drive them to the hospital. God put him in the right place at the right time.
I watched this live. Guy is amazing.
I cannot find his live video do you know which one it is?
@@hikerbill9248 freddy delisted it. Presumably for the protection of the family
@@joeschmoe5009 Thank you. I just found his channel and many people said the same thing that you said. He did the right thing by taking it down. It sounds like he is still protecting (helping) the family.
I wanted to hear more of a good story, but we do not need to hear a family crying over the fear of their children. Thank you for your reply.
@@hikerbill9248 it was sad to watch, but also amazing to see him just act and not think and take care of them. There also is drone footage out there showing the destruction. All thats left of the cement slab the house was built on, all the parts are thrown around the fields. Its a miracle they survived
@@joeschmoe5009 Do you know if they had a shelter or how they made it through the tornado? Did they get thrown around the field also? It does not sound like they had a shelter.
So proud of Fox reporting of a new Hero. 😊 🇺🇸
I was actually watching some other storm chasers at the time and then switched to Freddy's feed when they said he helped this family. It was so emotional. Freddy is a hero.
Kudos to the storm-chaser
Freddy is a stellar human being. Much love to the family as they recover. Storm Chasers are the 1st 1st Responders during destructive weather. Much respect for all they do to help others: warn, inform, search and rescue.
Thanks to many of these brave people who are often the first ones on the scene that give aid and comfort. I’ve watched countless livestreams of these brave men and women and sometimes children who have saved the lives of others. Though you brave people may go unrecognized by some, the hearts of those you rescued says it all
Thank you Freddy as one of your fans
Just want to say thanks for the content and this heroic act and thank you for taking it down for their privacy
Freddy is top-knotch. I'm so glad he was there to help! My thoughts go out to everyone involved and I hope the family continues to heal!
Good on ya Freddy. You’re a hero! Storm Chasers wanna help people. That’s their job, to watch tornados and report them. Good job ❤🤘🏻
Very moving. I'm glad that he was there.
Prayers for this family! And thank you storm chasers for helping them.
This is one of those right place at the right time scenarios.
Thank you Mr. Freddy and Dr. Reed for all you do. God bless you both.
Watched this live, looking at the tornados live was something else but seeing that family coming down the road in need of help it got scary real and gladly the storm chaser was there to help that family.
Good job storm chaser , saving lives while putting yours at risk, good humans still exist
They were definitely blessed. Thankful for the man that helped him. What a horrible experience for this family.
Freddy you are a God send, keep up the great work!
Watched it live. Thank you Freddy !!
Praise the Lord for this Hero! God Bless all affected.
Praise the lord for sending the tornado there in the first place.
Love Freddy and his dad, and Connor. All great chasers.
We love to see good people out here making a difference! Thank you to everyone who thinks of others, and not just themselves.
These guys are our first line of defense. Heros. Their poor mothers probably can't sleep at night, but they are heroes!
Very heroic of Freddy. With tornadoes getting more frequent and widespread all over the country tornado chasers are going to be increasingly first responders.
Freddy McKinney is someone I love watching
he is incredible at what he does and seeing him on national tv is incredible
I watched this live from Freddy's in car Cam as it happened. What a Fantastic job he did getting this Family to the Hospital. He didn't just pass by and Keep chasing like I have seen Many others do, Great job Freddy 👏👏
There was softball-sized hail falling too…incredible work by Freddy to get them to safety.
Thank you Freddy!! You are a hero! God bless you!
Phenomenal guys. Great job
I was watching a youtube channel I go to consistantly for TX weather; when that happened... Hawley area & headed toward Abeline...daughter's family is in TX so my phone sounds when the channel is live. I don't live in TX. Iam really grateful that S Chaser was there, & helped that family~thanks for showing it here :)
So glad they are okay ❤🙏 Prayers for all! I can't imagine a home being destroyed 😢💔🙏 but Thank God they are alive!
God bless this guy & family. What an Amazing guy God has obviously put him on there path as God can answer your prayers when you put faith, surrender all to him he can move mountains open doors where no man cant.
I to saw this stream live. Incredible !
Hat’s off to Freddy!! Thank you for rescuing that family!!!
I watched this live and the whole thing was shocking to see with the family but Freddy McKinney was absolutely amazing calm and a big hero. So glad the family are doing good and a big amazing well done and respect to Freddy McKinney
I know the live stream was taken down, but what is the name of the you tube channel? Thank you in advance
WE saw this live as it happened... Freddy is a hero.
Freddy should be proud of himself. This is the sad part of storm chasing that the chasers (as someone already said) are very often the first responders in conditions like these.
I was watching one of his fellow chasers last night when the call came out that they couldn't find him. At first, there were reports he was in the tornado but as people made calls and checked, we found out that he took the family into Abilene for help. I've seen many chasers end up helping people after the storm they're chasing goes away. They are some of the greatest folks, and doing this, for the most part, on their own dime, trying to get pictures and directions to try to help save lives before they have to go pick up the messes.
What a hero Freddy….
Thankful they are all okay
Watched it happen live this was crazy how fast the situation chanced. Amazing Job Freddy did here. very shortly after what happened and it was safe to do so Team of Stormchasers gathered up to check the damage path for people who need help. Australien Stormchaser Daniel Shaw, Vince Wealti and Corey Gerken stoped they Chase too. Went through S&R Operations where the tornado struck ,if anybody might be missing or hurt under the rubble. Also 2 of them EMTs carrying professional First Aid Gear with them in car whilechase and trained for deaster response. Everybody give them also a like on they YT channels. Local have been fine but something they do because they care for peoples Life more than for a Tornado
Hats off to storm chaser Freddy!!! ❤
Freddy 👏 young man Brove ..blessings to you the rescued family and all in this horrific times. 🙏🏼
God bless you Freddy. 🙏
I was watching that stream. I think this was his 4th or 5th tornado. This young man is amazing!!!!
GOD BLESS HIM FOR HELPING THEM !!! GOOD GRIEF !!!
Storm chaser are amazing people they do these types of things great job Freddy and I commission all to pray for them because they’re out there in the midst of it all the time
Vince was early in Sulphur after its F3 just a few days ago. Freddie took these people to the hospital, huge thanks to Freddie!!!
Thank you Freddy Mckinney, awesome buddy.
I watched this live! Freddy did an amazing job!
Thank You Freddie Your a Hero. I am Grateful for You being there and able to help this Family out of Their despair. Prayers for all affected by these Devistating Tornados 🤗🎖👏😞💜🙏
God bless this family and Freddy
Amen
Good Job Freddy, I'm a chaser here is Roanoke VA, be safe follow
WOW, Freddy McKinney is a TRUE MODERN DAY HERO, Absolutely Amazing that he decided to go THAT PATH,, God Bless You Freddy,If ever in the Bridgeport CT area I'd love to buy you a Steak Dinner,👍🍻🕊️
Bless his Heart🌳🙏☀️
That guy is a real weather man
Thank you for finally giving this man credit
It's what good storm chasers do. Either they save somebody before the fact, or they're the first on scene, even before first responders, to help the victims and pull them from the rubble. I watch loads of storm chasing videos, and the really good ones do this every time. That's why they're out there. Not just to get pretty pictures (that's what the amateurs do), but to help study tornadoes so they can save more lives in the future.
Reed and Freddy are awesome 🇺🇸
God put you there for them. You saved lives.
Thank you God bless
God bless u Freddy 🙏
Watching this happen live was crazy
Ooh I saw this live on Max Velocity UA-cam! Great job Freddy~
saw a video of the mom with her son talking about what happened and to see the actually footage of the family of four plus their dog right there with them just hit differently. I felt my heart skip a beat to see mom running carrying her daughter with the dog right behind her with her son and husband. All I hear is fear with a mix of relief to see that someone came to save her, her children, her husband and even the family dog. Freddy made sure that no one was left behind.
I'm glad they walked out of that. I know they're injured but still oh my God.
Thank GOD
For GOOD People!!!
😇💕
