In my opinion you dont need primer if the body is smooth already..i only use it on custom bodywork where you need to cover some small imperfection and rough sanding marks.

Which brand do you use 2K clear varnish? After applying the clear coat, did you polish the body?
I use a local brand haha..but its a fast drying type..yes i need to do some polishing after this
