In this video, I battle with the struggles of inertia and find myself a refreshingly new playstyle. I'm still really struggling to adapt to inertia this wipe. Something about it is really throwing me off my game, I feel like there's less room to show off my skills mechanically and I just feel like a potato on ice. Inertia is definitely a good step forward for this game, but I'd love to see a bit more freedom with it.
With all my hard ache and struggles I feel like I've found a certain degree in comfort whilst using the SMGs in Tarkov this patch. The MP5SD is one of the cheapest, and lowest recoil SMGs you can get your hands on. It's got more recoil than it did last wipe, but that doesn't mean its less effective. 1 bullet to the face from this bad boy and you're gone, if they don't have face protection of course :D
Another reason why SMGs have appealed to me more this wipe than anything else is because they naturally have lower recoil. Usually I wouldn't be afraid of using an AKM and fully autoing until someone dropped, but this wipe it seems near impossible to do that unless the gun is kitted out. It's way easier to keep your crosshair on target with an SMG compared to an AR, period. For the price point as well, I feel most SMGs are a strong competitor for a budget weapon.

Totally agree, the problem is just the sparse uploads...the (amazing) style of his videos aren't really conducive to multiple uploads per week, which is what gets the views for the youtube algorithm and gets the video in peoples recommendeds. Having said that, it's a shame that people who put more effort and time into their content to create real quality aren't rewarded as much as the people who just rip stream clips/vods and put out multiple videos a day.
The only thing that's missing is a good discord group 😉

Inertia took a while for me to get the hang of, as well. I do like it, but feel the same as you in terms of there being more freedom to it. It still needs some tweaks. They ALSO need to hurry and implement the AI inertia too. The amount of times I've seen a Scav or Raider turn on a dime, dropshot and 360 straight to the head/eyes is astronomical at this point.
I feel you here, plenty of people are talking about ai, it'll deffo get looked at
yeah the inertia is a good thing for Tarkov but it really needs tweaked and should not have been added without some changes to the AI but im sure it will get fixed at some point
@@radsbosscraft8476 I've heard that they are going to release the AI Inertia patch in one of the next updates, but I agree. It shouldn't have been added unless it was complete all around.
Lol no tweaks. You can't move that fast while carrying that much weight.
@@youtubecommenter2527 It's not about moving fast, it's about stopping when you're doing a slow walk. I've worn rucksacks weighing more than I do *and stopping moving is much easier than starting moving and the inertia in the game doesn't reflect that. It also doesn't reflect the weight differences on that inertia as much as it should imo, because although stopping is easier than starting in heavy gear, both are much more difficult with a 60kg rucksack than an empty rucksack.
hey Lew, my favourite SMG this wipe has gotta be the MP7. if you take off the rear sight, throw on any laser and use subsonic ammo it goes really hard
That's the firearm I thought he was going to be using. No recoil, accurate as hell, can't find over 20 round mags though. (Lvl 10)

23:11 , right after shooting at the enemy 2Lew's aim appears to magically snap onto Joe's head. I think 2Lew is aimbotting. I rewatched it multiple times. It is an instant aim jump out of no-where. My Tarkov buds with thousands of hours also agree it seems like clear aimhack. Dissapointing.
@@skybellrock doesnt look suspicious to me. guys comes up, he aimes up and the zoom "proves" that it is not a "aim and stay on it" aim like a bot...
@@DaMatth Did you review the timestamp I sent? His aim snaps within a millisecond quite far onto his teammates head right after he is done killing the enemy. You can set up an aimbot in whatever way you want. You can toggle it to snap onto a player and not continue following, or you can set it up to follow. You can also set it so that it leads your aim infront of the target instead of being perfectly on top of it. What happened certainly looks like and is possible with aimhack.

You should try the MP5SD with a flashlight/laser combo, no rear drum sight! fantastic factory build that gives you point shooting ability, as well as a very wide open ADS with more visibility!

Ive always run smgs or dmrs, using full auto ars with single digit recoil skills and the overall increase in recoil this wipe makes them very difficult to keep on target at anything over 15 meters. Ive also been enjoying shotguns, double barrel to the legs is pretty fun

I rally like inertia, it single handedly brought me back to the game. Not everyone has the luxury of having enough time to spend on the game to get good at twitch shooting, and it's not what the game is about. I play with two friends who are better than me at shooting. We get shot at by a 2 stack. We kill one but the other dude manages to kill both my friends and then we keep shooting at each other as he chases me through the map. I manage to extract. I didn't even hit them once apparently, my friends got one and hit the other but they were both dead. I was rewarded for managing to disengage and extract not for my lackluster shooting skills. I like that about this game. It's a shooter for people bad at shooters.

You can theoretically get better recoil with the MPX SD and a bit of light modding(20k extra) though indeed the MP5SD still rocks in cqb

Ayo lew. Use the 74n. For being a AR it feels like a SMG with no recoil and really good ammo for how cheap it is. Great fun too. Use it as my main gun on labs for the easy head tap potential and great pen if using BT if you hit thorax
