Great information and without question there are many things to consider when buying a scope. I'm looking at purchasing my first PVO. I want to get out to 500 yards and believe a PVO up to 15x should be sufficient. One thing I've discovered is how much more light is available with a 30mm tube compared to a 1 inch tube. I was really surprised at the difference, especially the shadow detail of your target. I'm leaning toward the Leupold 5xHD 3-15x44 Fire Dot that has a 30mm tube but want to do some more research before deciding.
@@targettamers I have the lens mounted and wanted to ask if you have any thoughts in zeroing the scope. For example, should I zero the scope at maximum magnification, minimum magnification, or does it matter?
@@RJP001 Congrats on your first variable power scope! Everyone does things a little differently, but I zero at maximum magnification (regardless of the focal plane). Even so, I always check POI at the magnification I like to sit in most of the time. It's good practice to check groups at low and medium powers to ensure there are no changes especially if the same scope/rifle combo will be used for multiple applications. Have fun! - Tina
@@targettamers Thank you for the tips on sighting in the LPVO I just bought. It makes perfect sense to zero at max mag and then check groups at incremental less mag powers. Great advice and I'll def proceed in that manner. This LPVO appears to hold sharp focus at all mag powers (much like a quality zoom lens in photography) so I'm hopeful POI matches POA throughout all mag powers. I'll let ya know how it turns out. Thanks Tina!
I'm not quite sure what you're asking but if you're looking for a red dot that will do well for 100yds rimfire, my favorite budget sight would be the STNGR Axiom II. It has a 2 MOA dot that would work well with a 3x magnifier (see my review here - ua-cam.com/video/GEPunSnhobY/v-deo.html) My mid-range pick would be the Holosun HS510 (review - ua-cam.com/video/vLWBqzZq8gE/v-deo.html). You should be aware that subtension changes with a magnifier, but most red dots don't get smaller than 2 MOA. EOTech has a center 1 MOA dot and with a 3x magnifier, it's a good combo, however they're expensive (review - ua-cam.com/video/r77Izy3gdJg/v-deo.html). It might be better to opt for a 3x prism scope that has 1 and 2 MOA center dots if you're really after a bit more intentional precision from your optic. They offer the benefits of magnification and a red dot in one package. Vortex, Primary Arms, and Monstrum all have 3x prism scopes - the pickings are yours. I hope that's what you were asking after? - Tina

Is she kamala Harris?
No, she is knowledgeable about things that matter.
Her accent is real.
