It's so weird that you mentioned BSA. That was where I started playing Risk. I remember on a rock-climbing outing we ended up playing for hours, and I thought it was such a cool game, even though I barely understood it with all the troops and stuff on the board in weird and arbitrary places.
Yeah I feel like it's one of those board games that's great for killing time when you're out in the middle of nowhere haha
It would be fun to see you get a win on each different Risk map. Maybe make a series out of it? Also, I think you read Red wrong, as he might have worked with you and broken Africa if you had shown some greater initiative and broken through Pink through Europe.
I'm down to play other maps, great idea!
You could have planted your entire force on their continent to slow income till they fortify to you then you retreat and then plant on them again a turn or two later while red catch’s up in troops to them. You don’t have to have the biggest force just make the other 2 players equal to each other and then figure out how to catch up yourself between that
I think red was either trying to keep his continent or force you to unlock his army and get the attacker's advantage.
Slin didn't want to do somthing without a 100% from red. Slin wanted to make sure red was going to back him up before he made the "first move" costing him the game if nobody helped him.
@@alexdavis2904 red needs to be adaptive and learn to change play styles when the time comes for it. The passifist is good but once someone is going to reach enough units to have double 2nd place there’s a problem
Letting pink stabilize on europe+africa was a mistake. Red was too passive, but white shoulda led the charge on pink way sooner, rather than tryna strongarm red into doing it first.
I feel like when you both sent the messages to attack pink, and then red moved his units in attacking position on the SA/Africa border, you should have attacked Greenland and gave red thumbs up/attack pink/heart messages. red wad probably thinking that you weren't working with him either.
He might have followed suit. It is a risky move but that's what I would have done. I'm probably wrong though. I'm still a beginnner.
@@sargantfrosty Hard to say. I think if Red doesn't follow the attack at this point and plays for second, MR SLIN just gets third. And turns out Red was also a Grandmaster so Red also cared about his rating... meaning that Red also targeted the second place. More consistent, less risky wins the race. But I'm also a beginner so what do I know 😇

i watch a lot your games on yourube and i have to say, this had to have been the unluckiest pair up ever, im a noob at this game and even i realized red only option was to break pink but he just sat there doing nothing the entire game

Prefer to label enemas , one side benefits which is bad for you and at your expense. Better to run then away, get a card abs save
This dude keeps talking about how passive red is and he is just as passive
Black is clueless. I would have taken the pink player out with 5 cards. Would have still kept the balance of the game while eliminating a player. Just my thought.

Red wanted you to attack pink. You should have done so, it was your job. You were more powerful than red. You suicided for no reason.
It's not a suicide if you're giving yourself better placement in an unwinnable game. Maybe he should have attacked pink earlier in the game, but at that point it was too late and red chose which side they were on.
I don't know what rank you are, but once you're a grandmaster at the top of the game, the difference between 2nd and 3rd is important for your rank. I don't see how that was a suicide

Red showed that he wasn't going to help Slin deal with pink a couple rounds ago. Red stayed passive letting pink run away with the game. They could've teamed up a long time ago and stopped pink but, like I said red didn't want to team up.
@@alexdavis2904 You can't expect someone weaker than you to stop the strongest player. Slin didn't want to do anything, he could've attacked anytime he liked. He didn't, he put troops on reds border as if he was going to suicide him, then he suicided him. It is what it is.
@@russelljones9207 well slin didn't know red's rating before but he knew the good relationship between him and pink so even if he attacked pink from the beginning there is the chance that red won't attack pink too and would rather get the 2nd place
