You should try my deck! I just mixed some random “decent” cards that i happened to get pretty early on and it turned out kind of decent: Cubone 2x Hitmonchan 1x Marowak EX 2x Jigglypuff 2x Meowth 1x Persian 1x Wigglytuff EX 2x Potion 2x X Speed 2x Pokeball 1x Red card 1x Professor’s Research 2x Giovanni 1x This deck is a pretty decent option for the meta because it can setup fast for cards like Pikachu EX and Starmie EX with the 2 energy Marowak EX and since it has 4 EX options and a bunch of x speeds + cheap retreat you end up dealing a lot of damage but still surviving, not to mention if you have an EX card deck and you come up with another one, you’re kinda playing with cards worth 4 points even though your opponent needs 3. The one extra energy for wigglytuff makes it harder and way rarer to setup, but even though it’s not as reliable as marowak, the 80 safe damage + 50% chance for the other pokemon to stay asleep can save SOOO many games. Hitmonchan is a good starting option sometimes because it has 80hp and deals 30 damage, and it’s strong against some common starters like almost every electric basic in a pikachu EX deck, that combined with a giovanni he gets an OHKO on, while also being safe damage to finish off mons (its always important bc of marowak’s inconsistency). Persian also does the same. Meowth is a great option when the first draft isn’t too good and can easily be retreated too. To sum it up: Try to be constantly setting up either a Wigglytuff or Marowak and use only EX cards if possible. Also retreat your EX cards whenever there’s hope to save them, since it’s really easy to setup a new one. I’d rate this deck around a 7/10 which is surprising considering how weak some of its options seem. It’s definetely innovative though and gives a new option for players, i know it’s not too easy to get 4 EX cards but who knows, i got them and wasn’t even trying
Very good analysis I was wondering why people play the Raichu. This deck fits into my playstyle. Love the idea behind the build. Cant wait to try it out.
Been playing Rapidash, Ninetails, Blaine into this and absolutely stomping. It's the only deck I could figure that would move more quickly. Kanges or Vulpix serve as fair walls, then you just start grinding them down. It's rocket tag, really. It's by far my highest win-rate comp. x2 Vulpix x2 Ponyta x2 Ninetails x2 Rapidash x1 Kangaskhan x1 Potion x2 X Speed x2 PokeBall x2 Professor's Research x2 Blaine x1 Giovanni x1 Sabrina I've seen some others fairly similar out there, but I got the decklist from a friend. Should totally give it a try, if you haven't!
I was trying this deck out without the Zapdos Ex like u mentioned, but the problem is this deck bricks a lot. Too many support and evolution cards which you tend to draw a lot and you can’t fill up bench like you wanted to for Pikachu EX to come online and often times you are just stuck with only one or two basic pokemon on the field.
@ I feel like there’s too much investment on Raichu and magneton. That’s 8 cards in including their basic form that is extremely brick worthy when you draw them at the start and also Surge when drawn early is a brick too. That’s already half the deck.
@@sk8ergamer Devil's advocate here: I thought your pacing was fine. Steady, clear, and concise enough to not feel dragged out. Just my opinion though! I'm not really in a hurry, ever.
Was playing my powered down Pikachu deck for some fun (don't have pikachu ex) and a dude misty'd an articuno for 8 water energy and destroyed my zapdos ex
"If you run this you're gonna win" bro I came here cuz magnemite and zapdos just aren't working. It's like the game makes me lose when I have them. need 20 damage to win? 4 tails on zapdos. Have two magneton out? Not a single surge card. It just doesn't work, too gimmicky. Imo I think drop the magneton for electrode so you have more consistent damage and options to retreat.
@@sk8ergamer Luck based implies the game isn't fudging the numbers behind the scenes. Which it is. You ever play solo? The AI will roll heads on misty 8 times if it means you lose from the energy attach. Think pokemon wouldn't? Magic literally does on their app, they rig hands, and I trust pokemon even less than wizards somehow.
You can still play it, but the deck will be less consistent You usually only use 1 Pikachu Ex, but it is very important that you have it by turn 1 so you can start charging it up
@@sk8ergamer I just think you have too much going on. These battles last 5min or less. I think it's better to just run 2Pikachu ex 2voltorb 2electrode 2-4zapados/zapados ex, 2sabrina 2pokeball 2research 2xspeed 2potion and optional 2giovanni
Which you refer to the latest tournament instead. Top Pika deck no longer use Surge variant to be at top. And Articuno is no longer top meta, Mew2 and Charizard is.
@@sk8ergamer Well thats why i ask to refer to the latest tournament. theres 2 big tourney, one just finished, another one will continue tomorrow. Charizard literally 3rd best deck after m2 and pikachu. u cant just feelscrafting, you need data. its slow and inconsistent, but it has the highest ceiling that carry it to that spot.
only top tier is still pikachu , and mew 2 tbh ,as they are consistent with very little setup to win, charizard relies on moltres and coin flips at this current stage
It’s too soon to be definitively defining meta rn the game is still very new. Not too long ago people were saying the only top decks were mewtwo, articuno and machamp and then we started seeing alakazam and the rest not too soon after.

Ninetales was my first foil card :)
This deck destroys so many decks
Pikachu use Thunderbolt!
You got a lot of strong decks
Enough to have some fun :)
how do you get recordings of your matches on your iphone? I wanna record my matches but i dunno how
Use the iphone bulit-in recording function
@ nice I didn’t know that was even a function! What app do you personally use to overlay your voice and add the art to the background of the video?

This is fair, it is important to guarantee you can fill up the bench and do 90 per hit

You just can't stop a good Misty
I haven't spent any money and I have the immersive pikachu Mewtwo and Charizard and I've gotten a God pack with the gold pikachu.

Pikachu so cute!
ISn't Pikachu just the cutest?
Pulled hella packs never got the pikachu ex but I got it from a wonder pull 😪
Pikachu will be here soon!
you only win if you start the game with pikachu
Real?
Is it worth playing pikachu ex with only 1 copy
You can still play it, but the deck will be less consistent

Depends on who's got the better Pikachu Ex

I do like the Raichu threatening a big hit
but I have tried the Electrode version, it is also awesome

Charizard is not top tier
If the main attacker is a stage 2, you brick too often
True top tier decks are consistent and strong with a high win rate
