I feel it is important to mention that their Quartz ETA F06.412 is a thermo-compensated movement. This is a huge factor to gloss over. Marathon is getting there .... just slowing going. An arctic dial version of this with no date and it will be a TOTAL WIN!
One minor correction, Teddy: the case actually isn't bead blasted. It's parkerized stainless steel, which is an entirely different process and adds corrosion protection to the surface.
Yea you are full of shit. They do not fall off easily. I have had a tritium tube pop off but it was from dropping the watch off my wrist and chest height onto a concrete floor.
I know your think is entry level up to rolex but you should review some higher end stuff sometimes once a month just for fun ap patek rm etc Vacheron even higher end zenith like the skeleton
You have to be careful, some of the watches don't have tritium tubes on the second hand, they crystal sits high above the case and bangs on things, it's so square it snags things. Luminox Navy Seals is much better watch.
@@climbmaintain Military wouldn't use Marathon with the high crystal that reflects light, Luminox doesn't, you have to pay twice the price for a comparable marathon to a Luminox. A Marathon dual wind seems like a good back up incase the Luminox fails, which is unlikely.
Did not know this model now comes with automatic movement. Thank you.

Thanks Teddy! Ordered locally at Marathon. 😊
I believe his store carries Marathon.
But i have yet to see him dig on anything he doesn't sell, so maybe he doesn't care. 😊
Like some, the lack of symmetry with the case just doesn't do it for me. However, everything changes when you actually see these things in person
Would love to try on this and the GSAR. Bot are very unique case designs and it's a big pricetag without knowing how they fit.
My perfect watch - unfortunately at an imperfect price!
I will soldier on with my basic Navigator.
Any orange or yellow dial ?
Is there a place where they could change the tritium tubes ??
They’re good for 25 years. I have gins with tritium sights that still glow after 30 years. Just not as bright.
Cool story behind those
T25 illumination is better, love my small MSAR, built like tank, one of my favorites.
I own one of these watches, the glow rods easily fall off and service is mediocre at best. I enjoy the watch otherwise.
Lol, you should be a salesman for Marathon!
One of the tritium tubes fell off the hand? How quickly did Marathon fix it for you?

Must have been heated by an oven or something
LOL you said RTAF and I didn't even know my air force uses Marathon
Cool story behind the watch but can’t get past the asymmetrical case or the higher than expected price.
I'm with you with the symmetry.

Bought one from teddy & it came scratched…kinda bummed.
Did you reach out to them?
Hi Teddy, will you get hands on new Squale 1521 bracelet and Vulcain Nautique bracelet. Thanks, love the review
I wish it didn't have that asymmetrical case
I love the story behind the brand and the looks but for the price you can get much more from a Seiko Prospex for exemple or a Sinn 556.

lmao Luminox is shit compared to Marathon

@@howing13 marathon has contracts with the military and federal agencies from multiple countries, Lumoinox is a toy watch for wannabe Navy Seals
First
dude it's 2024
Marathon makes special models glorifying the Israeli IDF and other military units that are known to torture detainees. Not a watch to promote.
