High Performance Twist and Go Bikes Now in Pattaya

- Опубліковано 27 вер 2024
- I attend a test ride event here in Pattaya at Bira Circuit for the new Honda e-clutch. What exactly is an e-clutch and will this be a game changer in the twist and go space, I think it might be just that. But I'll put it through it's paces and see if this will truly be a high performance twist and go option.

Really enjoyed the vid Lucas. Since I started watching your channel, over a year ago, have viewed every one of your vid's, and it always feels like coming home.Yeah I know that sounds korny, but oh well, it's how I feel. I always go back in time, and re-watch your older riding vids. Keep 'em coming.
Thanks Tim
Always dig your motorcycle videos Lucas. Thank you 👍
My pleasure!
That Brunch Looked Mighty Tasty
Always nice to see you ❤
More vids like this pls.
Always fun seeing bikes 🏍️ we can’t get back in in the USA. We can get the 650r but I’d rather have the 650. Hope the move goes smoothly!
Interesting, thanks Lucas.
Thanks for the update, very interesting and never heard of that Transmission E Clutch. Have a good day Loocus.
Thanks, you too!
I think Honda should give you a deep discount for this excellent review. I am always skeptical of modern circuitry when those little motors and sensors fail you on a road trip where they’ve never heard of an e-clutch. As always, thanks for the great info!
yeah, it is something to think about
🏍🏍Thank you very much for sharing another great video take care🏍 🏍
Great show Lucas! Enjoy your day. Those bikes look pretty cool 😎. As alway's stay cool kind and generous!
👍👍👍
Great video I still like the ADV 350 have a great day Lucas
Thanks Robert
A+ That bike reminds me of the V45. I don't like the profile of the clutch box. It gets beat up on a small spill. If you can't run a clutch just slam the shifter it will shift😂
🤣🤣👍
Nice review!. Honda always does their new product 'demo' rides in a very professional, fun and safe manner and I have participated in many of them throughout the years.
👍👍👍
:) WOW! Great share and Video of new Tech in Honda e Clutch! Wold be great as you say when stuck in stop and go traffic :) Nice size too at a 650 CC 4 ! THANKS MUCH again and ALL the BEST! Cheers ! :)
Glad you liked it!
Wow that looks very nice , perhaps good for someone like myself ! Thank you for sharing .... Enjoy .
Thanks Karl 👍
Knowledge is power! If you want to be a player, you need to follow the brand. Honda has been an innovator and seem to employee the best engineering type people. I am sure they asked for your opinion and feed back.
Yes, they had an online questionnaire to get feedback after the ride 👍
i see someone had already dropped it going by those scratches
Great stuff Lucas..
Technology moves forward. Thanks for the info Lan o Lucas
Welcome 👍
I am definatley going to Route 66 next trip i missed out going last October food looks excellent
👍👍👍
Wow, for once us here in the UK are getting a good deal. The E clutch version is only £100 (4600 thb approx) more expensive than the standard one!
Because most people can shift😂
Pretty cool. Years ago we called that speed shifting. Only every used the clutch to pull away from a stop.
Exactly, that is a cringe sound to a mechanic though
Another great review Lucas. It's interesting how technology has evolved even in Motorcycles . This is going to be a game changer for many people around the world. Thanks Lucas
Totally agree!
I really like the No-touch clutch feature.
The umbrella-girls look very nice. Why they had all these motorbikes there ??
A few different events going on there all at the same time.
The new Toyota Champ in the background at 07:50
The e clutch bike would be a good way to learn to ride a bike!
Good point 👍
Tolles Video Lukas 👍 Gruß Achim ☕️
With all that in the Trans. & Engine how reliable are They ?
It looks as I would need the Handle Bars higher up so I'm
not Bent over so ...Thanks for the Tour and Sales Pitch..
HAHAH , You should get a Comission ..
Good Vlog, Interesting idea, but it'll be even more interesting to find out how much damage it can do when one/some of the sensors starts having issues.
I'll stick to a regular clutch for the moment.
Great point!
Been watching your videos for quite a while now. I especially enjoyed the one about your accident and the spirit who came to your aid, love that stuff. My wife and I are retiring in Thailand this summer, we built house there. I have two Harleys, and my favorite bike a 2022 Panigale V2. since there is a 200% import duty on motorcycles, I have to sell them and get something in Thailand. I joke with my friends I'll be going from a 160 HP track bike to a scooter. I plan on getting a touring bike once Im there. My question to you, if you don't mind, is a V2 too dangerous for roads in Thailand? I realize its not for cities, but are there nice safe hyways to ride on, or many give up my addiction to speed, and just putter around.
There are good roads for that, just would not be my choice for an everyday bike, but plenty of similar bikes here on the road.
Thanks for the info
4:48 OK, who laid the bike on it's side LOL
🤣🤣🤣
I saw that as well. Lol..
Way over my head 🤦♂But still watched this .🚲🏃♂🚶♂>>> 🚖
👍👍👍
Thanks Lucus great info. As usual. I like the Forza 350 ATB.
Thanks 👍
Try the NT1100 DCT, put it in sport mode, quick enough with 100bhp on tap
Oh yeah, that horse will gallop 🤣👍👍
That CB looked a bit scuffed 555
Krap Pom
👍👍👍
👍
I’ve owned many Honda’s over the years… like you said.. very good bikes…but with any new technology there’s bound to be a few hiccups…sounds interesting though…
Why is the clutch so expensive as an option in Thailand. It's only £100 in the UK and that is muted to become standard on these bikes so will disappear as an option.
Soooooo..... Basically a semi-auto as we saw here in European busses in the '80s
$500 extra. i'm sure on an English video i watched recently the reviewer said it's only 100 pounds extra in the UK market. Maybe not true. Or are the Thai public being charged much more. Interesting.
Interesting, wonder if the base price of the bike is higher in the UK to start with maybe.
Should of done a burnout and then a mono ... lol
Huh? What's it for? More gadgets, more chance for breakage? Is it for racing? That don't look like a highway long distance bike... How's it do in the coming flooded roads? lol... I don't get it, but don't think it's for the casual rider...
312k is 8.5k dollars mate not 6k
yes, thanks, don't know what i was thinking
Is there nobody here then ?
Twist & thrash. I think Honda do an 1800cc thing. It takes away the skill needed to be a biker. Someone who can ride an electric scooter can ride one of these. Great for someone who is unfortunate enough to have a disability. Here in Greece, the Honda 70/90, 3 speed (no clutch) is very popular. It's was difficult for me. I was trying to grab a non-existent clutch. 🙄
👍👍👍
Coffin on wheels……. No thanks
??
have you heard of a Rekluse clutch.... Been around for years... They are evadible for a lot of dirt bikes...
WOW! I'm always amazed at your extensive knowledge on motorbikes, a learning moment for us viewers! An interesting video! Thank you for sharing too.
Quick question for you, I'm wanting to move to Jomtien from the D.C. area in the U.S. and I'm trying to see if I should bring my bike or sell it. What do you think would make the most sense? It's a 2009 Thunder Mountain Custom Spitfire. I know there are a lot of fees including transport and tariff fees, etc. Do you think it's worth it?
Oooooooooo....look at all that mechanism and castings sticking out in the breeze and not a crash bar in sight.
That would be an expensive fix.
I think most of this add-on is just for sales. Imagine when it comes time to fix it as these parts will fail at some time.
When it all boils down, too lazy to operate the clutch or gear lever........ 😝
Cool video-how does the new E clutch Honda CB 650 compare to the DCT 750 or Gold wing auto?
Looked fun great breakfast those pancakes
low down power? sounds more like torque which great cars need on the road for driving fun. not peak like old two strokes, that CB has been dropped a few times it seems by scrapes
Cheers mate,
🙂
Looks fun ;)
yeah, I almost bought a 1979 Hondamatic 750, they were good bikes.
👍👍👍
Will still take your Yamaha over the new Honda, hope you get to ride it... the Yamaha sound and feel is really special
👍👍👍
Tolles Video Lukas 🏍🏍🏍👍Gruß Achim ☕️ 3:47
Danke Achim 👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏
This seems to be a mix between a Honda Super Cubs gearbox and a regular bikes gearbox.
(The Honda super Cub has no clutch)
I thought some of those smaller clutch less bikes had an internal centrifugal clutch.
Same as the Dax. Change gear with your foot ...but no left hand clutch lever.
Thanks, Lucas for doing a motorbike-related video. This is what attracted me to your channel in the first place. Two-wheeled loveliness.
I got a Honda 650 eclutch here in Pattaya
Great bike
Fantastic review. I have the NC750DCT but doesn't have enough power. Will most likely get this as well.
Enjoy!
breakfast looked good!
that seems like a really neat idea for a bike.
Hope your moving/renovations/redecorating is going well!
Thanks Matthew
The CB650 e-clutch is super exciting and I'll love to try one
👍👍👍
Very nice introduction Lucas! Thanks for posting this.
Welcome John
Thanks Lucas! 🛵🚲🛴
Still like the 3 wheel electric trike. 45mph is good for scooting around Jomtien soys 👍
Right on!
