Dino crisis 2 giganotosaurus,I got a good shock from Giganotosaurus in this game.
Playing DINO COLLOSEUM is a lot of fun.
One day I wanted to control Giganotosaurus with my own hands, so I started analysis.
However, the program of this game was special and the analysis was very difficult.
But I didn't give up.
As a result, 20 years after the release of this game, in 2020, i finally succeeded in hacking Giganotosaurus!!
Giganotosaurus attack is aimed at high altitude players, and because it has a high target, it can not reach the small enemy of DINO COLOSSEUM, so i was modified to use the attack of T-REX.

I'll be honest with you. 20 years ago I thought Giga was so large it wouldn't have fit inside the arena. Looks like I was half right. Still, it's still freaking huge and it's frightening how it can one shot a full health Allosaurus.
It also looks like the Giga had a little trouble being able to hit the oviraptors as a result of it being so tall, having a ton of power but not as much attack range towards enemies closer to the ground. That might very well be the reason the Giga wasn't included in the mini game in the first place, being that it would negatively affect the score because it had less accuracy than the other dinos as well as the fact that it was a much bigger target itself.

Is perfect this hack, when you finish testing everything you can do with the code, do you think you could put a link to download this modified rom/cheat?
When I was a child I also dreamed of controlling the Giga, I even invented methods such as passing the game 99 times on hard XD
It's amazing to clear 99 times with hard!
I also dreamed of operating a Giganotosaurus in this game too.
Unfortunately, ROM link generation is subject to severe penalties in Japan.
Also, when I try to achieve this with cheat codes, it exceeds 1000 lines...
I test and analyze up to 100% and may share if many people want to control Giganotosaurus.

I'm new to this kind of stuff, I've played Dino crisis 2 since I was young so I have some questions for this, are you able to play as the giganotosaurus on Dino Duel, the thing where play as dinosaurs on a 2 player when you unlock dinosaurs, are you able to play as the giganotosaurus in it's original move set from the game, I'm aware that you can't reach the smaller dinosaurs in it's original move set but you could try showcasing it on Dino Duel since you can freely move around as before time runs out and have you ever though of releasing this hack, it's been almost 4 years, sorry if I'm being inpatient about.
The dinosaurs in Dino Duel are managed differently from the single-player version, so I haven't hacked them yet.
With Giganotosaurus' original movements, some attacks may not reach small dinosaurs, but some may freeze bfore move them self.
For the time being, the PC version adds an attack that drops the chin.

@@gigaprotoI'm well aware of It's original movements in the other versions. I have another question though, I saw your other video of how you played the Tyrannosaurus Rex in Edward City against the Pteranodons. Are you able to change the T-rex into the Giganotosaurus there as well, if so are you also able to play as them in other areas like the Military Facility where you first encounter the T-rex and where you play as the Tank.

@@gigaproto Really, oh wow, thank you, thank you thank you thank you, that's what I was hoping as well, it's just recently I found other videos of someone else able to pull this off with other dinosaurs. If you are able to change into the giganotosaurus at the military facility, I hope it will be against the T-rex and even in the tank level, even if it's a losing battle, if you can. It would fun to see the Allosaurus at the military facility as well against the T-rex. If you ever get the chance, it would be fun to see the Giganotosaurus in those areas when ever you get the chance. I should have been more specific about my questions, as I said in my first comment, I'm new to this, so I want ask as many Questions about the Giganotosaurus as possible since you're the only one who can make this work, so I have another question, I might ask another after this just in case, do you have any intention of releasing the giganotosaurus hack onto codes at some point or have you already done that.

So, playing Giganotosaurus play is made possible by a ROM Hack with a huge amount of data.
So I think it's next to impossible to try to achieve it in code.
Jesus this thing is big. SMH why didn't the game dev made this thing playable in the Colosseum... such a waste.

To answer your new title, no, no it can’t, the DC2 Giga is a literal kaiju that can ragdoll a giant T. rex like nothing, and it’s tough af, it took a friggin satellite death laser to kill the thing. The Dominion Giga can wrestle with a T. rex but it was incapable of straight up lifting it up and yeeting it without the help of a cliff, on top of that it’s smaller and, despite its monstrous appearance, is much more grounded as a real creature than the DC2 Giga, which is an actual fucking monster. The DC2 Giga would tear the Dominion Giga to bloody shreds if they fought.
Edit: But, for the context of the actual video this is a cool mod tho, and, yep, it’s a kaiju, and this shows it, it looks big enough to devour those Allosaurus whole, just yikes.

This is the PC version and has strengthened the Coliseum's enemy dinosaurs, so it will take a long time to clear.

It's actually not technically a hack, as the Dino Crisis 2 strategy guide I had came with a code to unlock the giga in the dino coliseum.
Still very cool though, it does se a bit awkward attacking the smaller dinosaurs.

@Nate Law Yeah, in the back of the guide was a sealed section, which contained not only the giga code for the dino coliseum but also info about every dino and character usable in the dino coliseum.
