i've watched a real mechanic working on a vehicle, Ray from florida, using his Snapon similar wrenches and he had to put his finger on the bolt due to back drag.
Your talking about Rainman Ray. I learned years ago when I had a garage open that snap on isn't always better. the ratchets aren't bad they are just harder to get on a fastener than I like, but after breaking them in they have got a better.
Thanks for the video! I like Duratech tools. Good value! Wish all these companies would make em 16/17 and 18/19 instead. Hope they work well for you. Give us an update after a few months! Also, hope that interesting gold plating lasts😂
I got the none flex set.......it wil NOT stand for the every day user. Once you wear them in a bit and they fall off your cart.....they fall a part. Guess I'll replace with Snap On as they beak.
I have a 3 year warranty on them. I can promise I wont be going to snap on if they break. All extra long ratchet wrenches brake becuase we use them to break bolt lose.
My only duratech purchase was disappointing. The double box end ratcheting wrenches. They were labeled "heavy duty" wich for the price.i already knew they werent. The material wasnt good and didnt work smooth after a job. Not hating on them, i still would like to try one of theyre best products, i just dont know what they are
@@PapasHobbyGarage ...uhmm .. I make a decision.. I go with GW ; I know is a little expensive but is very smooth and strong at the same time . Take care . ✌️
Look decent, there tools are always affordable, decent chrome!! Will wait to see how they pan out for you papa! Thanks I was wondering about this set!!
will be doing some testing for sure
Bought a set to do timing chains on my 5.4 the being extra long really helped they worked great
nice. I am doing a timing chain on a 5.4 now. Then I got to do one on the 4.6
@ it’s not near as bad as everyone makes it out to be
@@austingoleman9431 ya done worse for sure.
Those are interesting wrenches. Looking forward to a review after they have been used a bit
At this point couldn't tell you if they are good or bad
The Duratech tools look fairly decent. I like the idea of the six point box ends. Duratech is owned by GreatStar along with Shop-Vac and S-K.
i liked the fact of the 6 point also. we will see home they hold up.
They remind me of the Mac rbrt/ craftsman overdrive.
@@deeeyewhy5949 I will look in to it. I used them today for bit 13 and 15 they feel nice in the hand.
Looks like a nice set, and 6 point.
so far so good with them

I wish they made this type in their non flex head double box. And they do but you can’t get 21 and 22mm size :/ so stuck with the standard 12 point
ya 21 and 22 would be nice

i will do! Thank you for watching.
do they strip the bolt if you just use to tighten?
If you over tighten the fastener you can strip out the threads but not the head.

@@PapasHobbyGarage mine fell off cart and they came apart, go figure that it would be the two most used, 10mm and the 15mm.
@@juancam648 thats sad
@@PapasHobbyGarage I ended up getting a set of gearwrench 120XP extra long, these are nice.
@@juancam648 Sweet. I was looking at them also !!
Seem like a decent budget set for the money. Do you have an Amazon link for these?... Looking forward to your future review!
yes here you go. amzn.to/4aQTJ1x
You have a chance to put some real torque on these yet? Considering grabbing a set.
Yes, I haven't had any issues
