One warning for anyone who has older pipes, don't use anything air pressure related. It may result in the pipes blowing open. I've seen it before.
I'd be wary of using them in any pipes; old or not.
If it breaks it needed replacing anyways.

Hey, as someone who's worked in and around plumbing, I wouldn't use the Clear Drain to save my neck. It can and will get rid of most clogs. But some clogs will just get compacted by the pressure making it that much more of a hard job to fix. And worst-case scenario, and the real reason I wouldn't use it, most houses have older pipes. Maybe the PVC has become more brittle, maybe the glue has lost adhesion over time, but if that pressure has nowhere to go, it goes out to the pipes. And heaven help us all if it's an even older construction where they used cast iron or bermico.
Sure, the water will drain, you may not even know you busted a pipe. So then you have open drainage into your walls and down into the foundation. In the best case there, you noticed and now have to tear into the wall and replace pipes. If you don't? Water is a powerful thing, and over time, it'll mess your foundation up and could even lead to a sinkhole.
In this case, a little more time and physical effort are better than the quick and easy fix.

If the pickaxe works well, that seems like a pretty good product. It's using standard CO2 cartridges which means it's a lot easier and cheaper to get refills for it than the first product. You only need to buy it once instead of getting constant refills from the manufacturer.
It was really nice of you to mention Grant in one of your videos. I think it was the last video you made but I think it was really nice. The King will live on in our hearts. 👑

Holy moly, that CO powered thing could rip the entire piping apart. Well, the sink is no longer blocked then... :)
I had a plunger that used CO2 cannisters, it actually worked.
Apparently it can be so strong that it dislodges pieces of not-too-well put together pipe pieces.

You theoretically shouldn't have to worry about smells coming from beyond the p trap because it was designed to prevent gasses from passing through them into the house. If it is not working then there are other issues that need to be dealt with.
I was hoping someone would have pointed that out.
Plus it says in giant letters its main purpose is for your garbage disposal hopper chamber
I used one of those air blasting things and it separated the pipes.
Are you sure you didn't have orbeez in the way, preventing you from getting a good seal with the drain?

I don't expect him to give much of a though about what happened. It made me feel proud that he cares for other people like that. Dylan felt like a friend to more people then he probably realized.
I'm back to this channel after about 2 years and I love it.
I agree with others that I'd be scared to try the pressurized ones because of the possibility of blowing the pipes. My apartment is old but regardless, last thing I'd need is to explode the place. I say use those things with extreme caution (that second one is also a weapon with how strong it is, lol)

It was invented to do precisely that: block stink. With how bad some sinks smell I wonder how much worse it would be without them.
The smell of sewage in your house can make you sick.
If you have a spare bathroom that is not used a lot. The water in the P Traps in the sink and shower or bathtub can evaporate.
Not only will this allow sewer gas to come back into your home, they can be a conduit for insects to come out of the sewer into your house.
Occasionally run water in them to fill them back up or cover them with a piece of rubber. One of those flimsy jar lid removers works pretty well.

Ive bought two of the Kleer drains... Let me tell you, they are absolutely priceless, it works so frigging good
I had a plugged drain in my shower which was probably mostly hair. I ordered some Green gobbler off of Amazon but what I ordered was a jug of liquid premixed. I followed the directions on the jug and let it sit overnight and then to pour in boiling water the next morning. It got rid of the clog with that one pour! I have to say I was impressed with Green gobbler. I have not had an issue since.

Thanks to you, just saved myself $300 on plumbing costs using the Kleer drain and also saved my tiles from being broken as recommended by my plumber to get manual access to unclog the drain. Took all of one shot and literally 2 minutes to assemble and unclog. Unbelievable!

FWIW, the Sani360 is labelled as a "garbage disposal" cleaner. It is not meant to go past the P-trap. The long nozzle allows you to get the foam into the ANGERCHAMBER of the garbage disposal, fill it with foam, run, and rinse!

The only thing is that if your blockage is in the p trap, pushing the blockage down further will then require you to snake the line. Always take apart your p trap first and check it. The CO2 product won't be effective down past the p trap because the pressure will go out the vent as well and won't get that full pressure behind the blockage.
Your best bet is to rent a snake.
I thought it started at 1.25 to 1.50 to 2. to 3.

Dude, that Kleer Drain is insane!
I have the 0:15 CLR pressurized can. It works very well with the drum trap that connects to my shower drain (I live in a 1920"s apartment building, no P-trap).
Enzymatic cleaners like the Green Gobbler do not work on clogs. But if used regularly, they do a good job of keeping the gunk from building up.

Green Gobbler is the truth!! I refuse to use products like "Liquid Plumber" anymore. Over time they corrode your pipes causing expensive damage and they are really bad for the environment). I use everything from the GG line: from bathrooms to garbage disposals to septic tanks. It takes a little while to work (this isn't instant soup) and sometimes you have to use both packets that come in the tube on one clog, but if you follow the directions, IMO, you'll see it's worth every penny.
There is a lot of alliteration and I like it.

Green Gobbler worked great on my clogged sink; it was mostly hair and grease stuck in there because my roommate drunkenly decided to bathe her cat in the kitchen sink one night and never put the catch over the drain. next morning she made bacon and poured all the grease down, which got stuck on the hairs and clogged everything up.
The fail of all these pressure devices is the overflow vent. (you didn't have one in your test drain but all real drains have one) Sometimes a rag can be jammed in the vent to prevent blow back but sometimes that still doesn't help. The good old plumber's snake is the only sure way! The C02 gadget looked the most fun though!
