IKEA navy vs. LEGO navy
Let the battle begin!
Who builds the best navy?
I don't know, the Swedes have the better manual, but the Danish fleet is easier to repair.
Plus the Danish hull pieces are mines if they fall in the water (stepping on LEGOs is painful AF)
Generic Stannerman and the danish ships cannot sink
IKEA is able to build in tree, but the LEGO navy is easier to repair
Yeah
This is why you don't use IKEA to build a fleet, Sweden.
hahaha but its great for bachelor Admiral on a budget
I wonder how many flat packs it takes.....
Yea its much better using legos
Ahaha as a Norwegian I just love your pronunciatioe. Well done Pixepoo :)
Translation of some of the ships:
Göteborg - A city in Sweden
Havfruen - The Mermaid
Ulven - The wolf
Langeland - Island in Denmark
Ekorren - squirrel
Verden - The world
Ha if this actually happened!🤔
Gotta love the english pronounciations of scandinavian language
PS im danish

Napoleon tw: real shit?
Naval battle: ascended
For reasons beyond, that for again reasons beyond me doesn't make sense... for reasons beyond me.
7:26 “be a sailor” they said. “It would be fun” they said
Well the Danish formation of two collumns is quite unusual in naval battles, it's a bit of a "Nelson" style :p Sweden has a typical formation for a defensive stance in naval combat.
1:35 Langeland is a Danish Island and i live there! :)
Frigates where used to tow ships of the line and pass signals unlike in today's video usually in a fleet engagement frigates would be ignored by ships of the line unless they fired on them being seen by the men of the time unsporting
You want to know that is very mind boggling back then? When there was a business of cutting down lumber for ship building or just any kind of lumberjack activity no one thought it was a good idea to plant 2 seeds in the spot of the cut tree. Even when in some places were showing clear signs of land becoming completely devoid of trees of any kind no one thought, "There's hardly any left. We might want to start planting more seeds of the species. It'll help reduce the amount of time and effort trying to look for that particular species of cash crop lumber we like. I mean, people already farm food. Who's really trying to disprove it isn't possible with certain trees. Hell, we don't even have to keep watch over it. Just drop a seed and leave to continue cutting."
I believe it was standard etiquette that a ship of the line would not open fire on a frigate, unless the frigate fired first. Because a single broardside from a ship of the line would reduce a frigate to matchsticks.
Three minutes in, a Swedish ship already got itself raked (fired at from in front or behind where it has few guns by its enemy's full broadside).
Havfruen translates into "the mermaid'
Silas C. Leth, cool i didnt know that!
Adversary Fracture yeah its a pretty nice name for a ship
More literally translates to "Seawife"
Do you mean "also"/"as well"
the other day i went to see some "tall ships" as they say they were basically schooners/sloops and some brigs and clippers they were awesome! they looked amazing i would love to go sailing on one
Awesome! Welcome back to the Napoleonic Wars General Apollo :)
I just watched a skittle ad
Edit: Apollo keeps saying guns instead of men
Lemono Sharky j
and men instead of guns
noticed that too.
"Words are hard" -Apollo (2018)
The Danish admiral is actually supposed to be called Tre kroner
7:54 WHAT a 74 ship gun... That's one big damn gun Apollo.
A ship was called "Tre Kronor" that means three crowns which is the symbol for sweden.
Denmark Forever :D
OOOO A SHIP BATTLE Haven't seen one of these in awhile. Thanks Apollo!
I got a good naval design question for ya'll to debate in comments. What is the best shape for a ship to have that allows it to always have the most guns at any angle present to shoot at the other when it is maneuvering about?
If you are talking specifically about this style of cannon, to get the most firepower out of them you need more of them on target, which means a wide face like the ships flank. Some larger ships did have a bow and stern cannons to use whilst perusing ships. But that requires more space at the front and back of the ship, which means a bigger (and slower) ship.
The ships at the time were designed in such a way that they could sail up to the enemy, turn effectively to get the port or starboard guns aimed at enemy ships, and give off a volley before readjusting to create a smaller target for returning fire.
Remember that any shape change made would need to be effective at sailing as well as housing as many guns as possible. A cube is going to be able to have lots of guns on each face, and will take weeks to leave port it will be that poorly designed for sailing. Also, every wave that hits it will capsize it.
completely round with canons in 360°. nobody will be able to get you from behind and you can always shoot.
Sweden: fires first
Denmark: weak
Also Denmark lights up Swedish ship
This is how most wars between Denmark and Sweden went
Sweden wins on land
Denmark wins at sea
Yeah because Sweden didn't focus on the navy back then.
Tim Gillgren yes they did
Now we are ready to sail for the horn
Weigh hey roll and go
Our boots and our clothes, boy, are all in the pawn
To be rollicking randy-dandy O!
-best navu song of all time
Navy sorry sir
Awesome....I don't even own the game but really enjoy watching someone else's hard work...nom nom nom.
Instead of him saying they lost 62 guns, he said 200 guns
It's a really good and epic battle, combated until the end. The two navies are awesome.
Yea, Napoleon. You might like the game march of the Eagles which is a paradox game that lets you be a major nation during the Napoleonic Wars
I WAS PA's 100th SUBSCRIBER, I HAVE WATCHED HIM GROW SO MUCH!
noice
I think Sweden was trying to form a jaw-like formation to surround Denmark. But that totally backfired once Denmark stared turning.
Sweden was PAC-MAN and Denmark was (supposed to be) the ghost.
Sweden: haha we fired first
Denmark: that's cute
*rakes that ship 5 times
Bear in mind that much of naval combat in this period (and afterwards) is about chasing. Although these situations, like Trafalgar, are the famous ones, most of naval warfare involved long chases by a superior ship after an inferiot ship. Therefore, speed was very important for naval combat outside of a battlefield like this. You could have a 400 gun ship of the line if you want but it can't do squat against even a 2 gun merchant ship if she can't catch her.
This is the best game ever! Please more!
Great to see a Napoleonic sea battle again! Cheers!
Most Scandinavian people know how difficult their language is and rarely minds if someone says something wrong or pronounces
This was good! Need more
The swedish formation was used by the Spanish invincible armada against the English... I think it was called crescent moon formation
i heard about such formation once
A one hundred sixty four gun from
admiral ship - pixelated Apollo
Finally napoleon total war video :)
You kept referring to the number of sailors when you meant the number of cannon. That's why the frigate seemed big with 90 something guns because that was the number of sailors left not cannon. The cannon number is to the left of the number of sailors. It's the one with the picture of a cannon next to it.
1:15 Someone at CA made a mistake. The Danish ship called "Tre Koner" should actually be "Tre Kroner" (meaning three crowns). Koner actually means "wives". :-)
Could it not just be "three wives"? If I was going to go down that route though I would probably go with "No wives, but a hell of a lot of guns"
It could be, I guess. But it's not likely, as there have been many Danish ships throughout history called Tre Kroner, just as there has been Swedish ships called Tre Kronor, the Swedish spelling (there was a Swedish Tre Kronor in this video).
omg you said "it may be smart of it may be stupid" i no joke laughed so hard lmao
need a few more of these naval casts
10:25 "he's down 164 guns"
Yay Napoleon total war
I was about to say " since when did holdfast have galleons" then i realized it was just N:TW.
A Danish Amiral on a ship called Three Crowns... smells like TREASON!
Admiral Nelson of Britian was in the middle with his vice admiral
I have yet to see any naval formation with the exception of line astern work properly in NTW, am I missing something?
Ahh Going back to their Viking Roots i see
Just a thought but did anyone ever thought of a M&B total war? considering the largest scale battle you can get in warband (150 overall in the battlefield at max) it would be interesting too see what warfare actually looked like in calradia with PROPER armies instead of the old 200+ men most lord's get by the time you've either joined a faction or claimed your crown and throne at Reyvadin.
Being honest here, Reyvadin literally first town i liberated and owned and that was when Lauren was nothing but a joke character.
Have you heard about the napoleonic wars dlc?
I love your channel!
You pronouncing the Danish ships is hilarious 😂
Yes total war yes yes something different yes Napoleon yes vanilla Napoleon yes something new yes Navel battle yes great battle
And hell yes Pixelated Apollo
Maby in future you will do some historical naval battles in Napoleon total war?
''thus have we stilled the tumults of the Baltic''

Heja Sverige
Kevin Wester Har du ikke set videoen færdig??!!!
Doctor Juliane Marie ahahahahahah! its "Dr" for Dronning which translates to queen - so its Queen Juliane Marie. hello from Denmark!
8:20 The Mermaid (Danish ship) vs. The Wolf (Swedish ship)... who would've thought the little mermaid packed such a punch.
Really nice to see some naval action though. Swedish steel may rule on land, but on sea, it's danish and norwegian oak that rules the waves! ... at least until Great Britain shows up...
But it’s Swedish copper that gives all of them their cannons
You're correct. Sweden has no shortage of either steel or copper, though. The comment about the steel was a slight hint to another strategy game "Europa Universalis 4" where a lot of Sweden's power on land comes from a perk called "Swedish Steel". :)
Dorimen17 Swedish steel is an actual saying as well though
Fun fact: The Havfruen was the ship that broke the last Swedish ship that fought back: Tre kronor.
Yeah them damn Brits, they came in fear of the Danes giving their fleet to the French.. We had one of the biggest fleets in all of Europe (if i remember correctly).. If all ended with the Brits bombing the city of Copenhagen and basically took our fleet with force.
If I'm correct, Nelson went at the head of his column too
I love naval battles
The last ship in sweden tre kronor means Three crowns
What song is playing in the background of this video??? I like it. Can anyone tell me what its called?
Hey i just got this game from steam i like these naval battles how do i set them up.
Jylland is a ship in Denmark
But are any of them, ready, wait for it.....

Contest for the best scandanavy
Isn't this game set in ca 1780-1790? Realistically this was when Sweden won the biggest naval battle the baltic sea had ever seen, against Russia.
Is there a viking mod for some total war game? Cause it would be awesome to see a battle between swedish Vikings and norwegian Vikings!!.. *PLEASE*
So.. we aren't even in there :D :D Greetings from Norway
Its simple math. Sweden only used half his force to take on an entire fleet. The number of cannons were against him
"I had no idea the study of nature could advance the art of naval warfare," - Master and commander, The far side of the world.

Maybe you could make the back ground music slightly louder
I'm half Danish and I've got a Danish citizenship!☺
The “u-shape” is the crescent, Islamic navies used it and the Spanish tried it out...the Spanish Armada was an example of its flaws.
Flagship is always in the front
Oh yeah pls more sea battle :)) ^^
Hey guys if u could have any type of ship, what would it be? And the name of it? Mine would be a 100 gun ship of the line. Name would be The Sea God's Revenge
