That’s because the quality is way superior to anything manufactured for the UK market. Plus the prices are more competitive if bought from German outlets.
I enjoyed the article but, it would be better if you could 'time line' it so that people who are not interested in items can easily find a section they do like.
Like chapters? I think UA-cam (eventually) automatically adds them but I can add them in manully too - thanka for the suggestion I’ll add them in my next one 👍🏼
Nice video as always. One point though re German loco numbers. There's no need to quote the dash and the following number, as it is only a computer check digit.
Thats a good idea :) Its not always apparent though but its safe to say Marklin and Trix HO locomotives will all be metal now but other manufacturers not so clear. I’ll look into it. Thanks for the suggestion! 👍🏼
Great review but, for clarity, Märklin is not 3 rail; it operates on stud contact AC. Just one other comment epoch 3 and 4 German models are Deutsches Bundesbahn not Deutsche Bahn. The latter came later after reunification.
You are right, Märklin is really expensive, but you get what you pay for. Plastic shells made in China or die cast shells made in Germany. Once you have visited their factory you know why they are so expensive.
Just a reminder… Marklin wagons have an option from the model shop to exchange wheel sets foc from AC to DC operation.
I like how Marklin/Trix models have so many features but they cost a bloody fortune

Ah, I never knew that and always have done - learn something new every day :) Thanks for the info 👍
Can You add an icon to show if the model has a metal body ??? Thanks in advance. Really appreciate the info You provide :)))

No Marklin it is just too expensive, USA outline on HO scale is outstanding value with many more features.
