Re Kato they’ve been modelling European N for at least 40 years, either in their own right or for Hobbytrain so they are not expanding into the European market…they’re already there. I think the VT18.16 and the BR175 are re-introduced former models produced by Kato. a VT18.16 is a BR175. The classification was changed from 1970.
Just bought two of those efe warships. One doesn't run at all, but the lights work, the other one cuts out every few feet. Both gone back to the retailer......
Am gobsmacked by EFE Warship running problems. Given the popularity and long existence of code 55 track (introduced in the 1980s) it’s seriously poor. If I had purchased one it would be returned for a refund. There’s no way I’d try and solve their manufacturing deficiencies myself.
I wish Kato would make a Class 60 in N gauge. Still looking forward to the Accurascale ones in OO Gauge though.
