Constantly moving Cruz around is not only beneficial for security reasons but has the added benefit of preventing his accounts from catching up to him. No commissary for Cruz.
I couldn't imagine my worst moments in life being out there for the world to watch, replay and discuss with ongoing and countless videos online and movies or articles and books. Imagine being that dad, hearing your son tell you he got shot and that he loves you and goodbye. Ruins me man, ruins me
This kid is so strong, forget those surgery's and months in the hospital (which on its own it's miraculous) but being able to give a clear recollection without breaking down shows such mental strength
I'm glad that Anthony had some resolution to his lawsuit but omg it takes his lawyer a long time to get the story out. I couldn't make it through the whole segment
😂😂 same here. I had to listen at 2x speed.
Constantly moving Cruz around is not only beneficial for security reasons but has the added benefit of preventing his accounts from catching up to him. No commissary for Cruz.
Did they say they were going to move him?
The lawyer said it's hard to meet with him because he's constantly moved for security reasons.
Like commissary actually means anything in the pen. No government cookies or doritos for Cruz is all it does,
@@stoiccrane4259 commissary means alot in prison. It's their currency.

I couldn't imagine my worst moments in life being out there for the world to watch, replay and discuss with ongoing and countless videos online and movies or articles and books. I think the victims should automatically own their perpetrators name. I hope if this young man does create anything about the shooter, it is healing for him and he does it with the blessing of all the survivors who were also shot. May the victims rest in peace 💖
what an incredibly empowering move by this young man

Not really. There’s already a law for this.
It's like a whole separate victory. For having caused mass destruction to the lives of so many, it was the right move to sign his name away. I hate that this victim has such PTSD, and I imagine it's the worst kind. I know he must be forever proud of how he handled that moment though, Anthony that is.
Wow what a WIN. Wishing him healing especially on survivor's guilt.
What a fascinating agreement!

Cruz has gotten much more remembrance than he deserves. I think it’s time to simply forget about this loser.

Yeah, I don't understand why people are happy right now. I don't understand how they got the sociopath to sign away his own rights to his story. I dont understand why people want this, people will want to investigate, and you basically allowed the courts to create intellectual property on court cases...... Truly he prob heard nothing but his own pain and suffering. Or the voices of the people who left him on the floor to die. Kid nearly bleed to death. In times like that you really don’t know or near what’s going on around you. Just focused on living
Also the NFL didn't ask players to study their brains. A coroner did that on his own when a dead player came across his table. The NFL tried very hard to suppress his research. There's a movie about it.
This is AMAZING. So proud of Anthony, & what an amazing lawyer.. omg. Let this begin a trend- this is the beginning of something incredible.
Rest in peace to all 17 souls lost. I bet they are cheering you on, Anthony. Sending love and peace to their families & friends.
I love how well this guy knows his clients. Seems he loves and cares about his job and clients.
Damn! He said "I told my dad goodbye" that hits deep!
Thank you for sharing Anthony's story. I pray he finds peace and God's purpose for him going forward. There is a young lady from Alabama, Lulu Griffin, who became a double amputee in a shark attack recently. She, too, was an athlete. Life isn't over. Anthony, you are a rock star. ❤

I cry every time I see or hear these personal stories of mass shootings. I can't imagine what it would be like to continually hear your own experience repeated over and over again, especially for the shooter or the shooter's family to be profiting off it. I'm glad that wont' happen.
Amazing lawyer and the resiliency of the kid who got shot is something else.
SOOO POWERFUL! I’m not a religious man, but one can’t use simple science to explain why a boy survived what most men could not. Went on to take the power of extinguishing any chance for the cause of his trials to go on to cause any more pain or suffering. Idk… that is just magic.

What a strong and brave person he is. The smartest thing I’ve ever seen. To own ownership of the shooters name so that he cannot agree to have a movie or documentary done on what happened that day. These victims shouldn’t have to relive that day years later because lifetime wants to make a movie about it. Bury that day along with the shooters government name. Bravo young man. Sending him and his family and all the victims and families that were affected prayers, hugs and peace.
They don’t need to watch the movie
This was a Impressive move from both sides, and mutually beneficial. No matter what you think about this murderer, he didn’t think it was as fun and cool afterwards that he thought it would. A true ASPD person would not cover his or hers ears while audio from the killings were played in court. They would truly enjoy listening. So he bought him self a bit less bad concious and the victims get to have one less thing to worrie about.
This is incredible and so smart. I think we will start seeing a lot of resolutions in high profile cases being done like this.
In Australia there is a law against criminals making money from books etc..
I couldn’t imagin getting that Call from my son because regardless of the situation there is nothing that will stop me from getting to him😢 I’m glad they made him sign over rights to his name because the victims are the one who’s story’s that need to be told.
I’m not saying they should kill him, but why does he still have his trigger fingers attached to his hands?
I got a poorly timed ad when they mentioned sending him the deal it showed me an ad for a NFL deal 😅
So if any movies are made, the victim gets the money, genius!
What about the other victims? One child should not benefit from this, all the children affected by this shooter should own his name.
he should just be locked away forever

There is probably someone out there named "Nicholas Cruz" and imagine how hard life must be for them to tell someone their name.
The fact this man committed mass murder and is still alive is crazy. This is why people doubt the justice system more and more every day
I don't think lack of death penalty is a flaw in the justice system, given apart from parts of the USA & Japan it's pretty much only dictatorships who still empower it.
