I like to believe that they haven't kidnapped any other Team Bolas members because they are afraid of those gas-masked psychos. Etoiles is an exception because they fear what will happen if they exclude him. He might break into their office to lodge a formal complaint. I know they are picking people who have opted-in out of character, but I think it would be funny to see the Purgatory goons attempt to kidnap somebody and fail. The would-be kidnappers approach a small group of ex-Bolas. All of them don gas masks and draw weapons, at least one with a chainsaw and slowly advance while chanting "BOLAS!" in unison. Eye guys book it.
To clarify a few things I see in the comments, Étoiles didn't absolutely want to go back to Purgatory, he was still hesitating when he was teleported by the worker. ("I didn't confirm, I didn't confirm in Discord!) It also has nothing to do with the previous' event team. Green, Blue and Red team didn't matter here, those who go are the one who want to play. The event is probably not canon anyways
okay, so... i'm lowkey scared that i might've been right about the whole *_"blue and green team + the missing red team members fighting in purgatory 2, whilst phil (and foolish) is/are left behind to take care of the eggs"_* theory that i made up on the pac kidnapping video 💀 & i honestly was not sure about etoiles rejoining because, 1.) i didn’t know if the green members would be included since they lost and were incorporated into the two residual teams, 2.) he won the first purgatory on account of being on red team and phil winning the 1v1 against tubbo, and 3.) etoiles got a lot of hate during the first one, so i thought he would be adverse to the idea of going back - if he was asked for permission to take part of the event. so, i was expecting him (& the rest of the green members who were added into red team) to stay behind and help look after the eggs, but i supposedly guess not... now, i'm waiting to see who else will be joining.
*THEORY:* maybe since they only added 3 people from blue team, then went onto the green team members, they'll pull 2 or 3 from green _(on account of max and/or elquackity who were left behind and we don't know that max is canonically dead yet - at least not to my knowledge)_ and MAYBE 1 from red since they have 2 already there _(baghera and cellbit)._ and then, the rest of their teams will get filled in with the newer islanders? maybe??
Outside of lore, etoiles said he has a friend who is joining purgatory 2 so he was heavily considering going back. In the video he didn't put out the proper confirmation but the admins must've heard and decided to finish checkin him in today. So lore wise I'm not sure how people will interpret it

Why is Bad still on the server? Wasn't he kidnapped yesterday? Also Etoiles is by far the least surprising creator that wanted to go back to Purgatory. I was surprised Pac wanted to go back since it didn't seem like he was online all that much last time for it.
Those who come back are not the character but someone else. For example, it’s not badboyhalo on the server but vacationboyhalo. Same with Bagi, who got kidnapped but is playing as emergency Bagi right now.
