I could see any US maps going down like this: The War of 1812 still occurs. British veterans of one of the battles that already have maps are perhaps afflicted with the Blight but aren't fully subsumed by it until reaching the United States and getting killed in a battle or through normal sickness. And the rest is as one could imagine. Sudden and tragic realization: I once thought a cool idea for a faction for any US Maps would be Native Tribes, since those loyal to Britain and those loyal to the US played a crucial role during the War of 1812. But the realization came that unless they are from a group that had converted to Christianity before the Blight came over, they probably were quickly wiped out.
unfortunately it doesnt, the War of 1812 ended early 1813, the Blight doesnt reach main Europe until 1813, not even America is aware of this virus other than the fact that its out there
Yeah for an objective map there should be natives from the najavo nation Cherokee nation and Choctaw nations and a few others in a forest area and for cities like Portland, Baltimore,New York or New Orleans just regular clothing
“The main force potentially battling the blight in the United States might be the marines.” If there’s one military organization in the world that is more than capable enough for dealing with ruthless zombies, it’s the United States Marine Corps. They’ll be fine.
I love how armies of over 50,000 men with razor sharp swords, ballistic cannons, and guns that can fire from a distance of over 500 meters are struggling against a horde of scrawny starved rabid humans
The technology of the Napoleonic wars was literally designed to fend off hordes of melee focused fighters because it was the early version designed for medieval armies. I can't believe they can't kill some zombies.
To be fair, imagine your a solider, and your facing a kind of enemy that you have never seen before, they could be your loved ones, your brother in arms or just some random strangers now becoming a walking corpse and eating human meat. I would shit my pants and panic,so it isn’t much of a surprise if they actually did panic and lost considering not only the relentless number of the zombies and they know no pain nor limit while human does
The theory that Christianity is like some kind of counter to the blight makes tonnes of sense, as most maps start in a church, and zombies (to my knowledge) don’t enter
To be fair, the blight are in fact sinners that came back from the dead due to hell has no room for them, thereby being reanimated as a result. A priest can cure the early stage of infection and the crucifix can temporarily stun them also supports that fact.
i have only recently started cassualy playing g&b but tbh the lore of this game is actually fun to look out for and your videos do help on some missing pieces i had

I feel like the Ottoman Empire didn't fall because they weren't Christian, but because they might have fractured due to either the emperor dying or people seeing an opportunity to split off. Just my opinion tbh
my Theory is that Napoleon want more men for his army so he made a deal with the devil that the undead will come back alive. But the undead did not list to Him, and kill every one.
nope, if Napoleon DID made a deal, then france would've fell to the blight fast, and we have Catacombs as a map with civilians still being evacuated, best case theory is that it started in Russia during Napoleon's invasion of Russia

Considering the fact that the British were a temporary safe haven and relatively unaware, I wonder if there would be a possibility of finding women and children still 'alive'. It would be interesting to see children roaming or playing instead of being hostile. Or maybe a child turning to the blight in their home. Their is so much potential since the British are not yet overrun. Like a father (not the chaplain) becoming infected and his family running out begging for a doctor to come see him,but he turns and kills his wife and kids (Like Bucher to the unnamed Soldier) Maybe a person from the quarentined ship slipping past and slowly succumbing to the Blight inside of a city. It would be a great plus to the lore and immersion if we could watch the blight begin to spread in Britain.
i’d love that too, but children canonically cant turn, as in the bible they are incapable of sin or turning away from god because their brains arent developed to the fullest, so they’d just die rather than turn. women are still alive, but i think g&b is more afraid of its weird community to add them
I think in regards to that, a map involving a group of civilians (men and women) trying to escape a newly overrun city would be rather cool, running from building to building with makeshift weapons.
How to hide from the zombies: build a castle in the middle of the water (like the castle from kaub) make a place for Farm, have a Farmer and stay inside the castle :D the zombies Will never in

Definitely Napoleon considering the holdout map is called Berezina which takes place during the battle of Berezina which canonically makes it one of the earliest maps so far (Oh and France and Bavaria are the playable nations)
I'd like to correct one thing, priest do turn into infected/runners.this is based on a game experience.i did turn into a zombie once when i was a priest
The Ottoman Empire weren't exactly fallen. The wiki Official Lore misconception told us that no countries ever truly fallen or rather destroyed, only being "overrun." The reason why there's no Ottoman Empire in-game is that the G&B (Guts & Gunpowder) timeline took place during the Napoleonic Wars, which the Ottomans did not partakes or involved with the war raged in the continental Europe. The devs just thought it would be non-sense to adding them to the game, while they (the Ottomans) did not partakes or involved the Napoleonic Wars. Some misconception including "other religions are unaffected." All other religions is affected by the Blight. The only thing is that they (the other religions) doesn't have any priest or chaplains to counteract the zombification. Also, there's difference between zombification and the virus. While zombification could be prevented by priests or chaplains reading a soldier his Last Rites, being infected by the virus through bites by the zombies is guaranteed to die, as the infection has 100% mortality rates. Some countries in the other continents may or may not have affected by the Blight. Despite the South America being so Catholic (as what you said), the still can reach them in any form, such as trades. The Vatican (the Papal State) and other religious sites can also be affected by the Blight through the infection of the virus. Asia, the Americas, Africa, and Oceania is likely being affected by the Blight through, either zombification or infection of the virus.
I have a question. When you mentioned parts of Asia, such as Imperial China being screwed and island nations like Japn being maybe relatively safe, and Spain is in a desperate situation, with the north being overun and the south most likely a few pocket of civilization by the Blight and the British leaving due to it being a lost cause. What happened to the Spanish colonies, more specifically the Philippines, as you mentioned the Blight is more predominantly connected/affected to the Christian/Catholic faith and since the Philippines is the only Asian colony that is prominently Catholic, what are the chances the Blight might surface there. For example, a Spanish garrison may have contracted the Blight before being sent to the Philippines and spread there, if that happens what will the garrison's do to contain/combat the outbreak, what will the native population do will the aid the Spanish to combat the Blight or use to opportunity to rebel and overthrow the Spaniards and liberate themselves in the meantime the Blight could spread throughout the colony. This sounds like a good premise for the devs to explore especially if the Blight goes world wide
Regarding South America, I think the blight would expand there. Portugal owned Brazil then and several Spanish colonies weren't independent yet until the newest lore point in the Catacombs of Paris. Chile, Colombia, Paraguay, Argentina, and Venezuela. Those newborn countries would try to trade with the Europeans and make the Blight come to the entirety of America. Landlocked countries would still be affected due to river trading such as Paraguay which traded through the Paraná River. So yeah, the Blight could or would expand to South America through British, French, Spanish, etc. boats.
Ngl, it would be sick if there was an objective where a random player just becomes Napoleon and the soldiers has to protect him as they advance to the South Of Brussels.
I think it’d be cool if the blight tried to cross to America from Russia to Alaska while the ice is frozen over. It also could cross from a fleet of ships heading to America with the blight on them. It’d be cool to fight on ships or ice against the endless blight :D
I'd like to see a Part 3 with a section talking about the Russian Map where you have to build the bridge. Because when you beat it, you let troops over the bridge.
Really nice video. i never thinked G&B had this much lore. Oh and one must imagine me waiting for the slap battles lore video :Sisyphus_Pushing_up_a_boulder:
Don’t forget that the capitol of the Catholic Church is located in Italy so for all we know what remains of the European armies might end up heading towards Italy for safety and maybe the Catholic Churches holy relics might be able to produce a permanent and larger version of the crucifix’s effect.
the lore wiki actually clarified that christianity actually isnt the only religion that can combat the blight, other religions can as they all refer to a single God, just with a different interpetation of God, they just combat it differently than christianity.
Man i am loving these lore vids man keep going. Also rip ottomans, the sick man of europe has fallen. Would love to see how the qing dynasty would deal with the zombies. Theyd probably go in swords blazing since they had a very outdated army in the 1820s

About the American Regiment available in Spooky Hollow, there is the thing where the regiment is “Marines” and by that what I mean is that the US Marines are Naval military power which in my own theory, the United States could be the protagonist or main of the liberation of Europe, because so the US blocked off all trades which unlike United Kingdom where the citizens do not know what is the Blight, US understood immediately including it’s citizens being on high alert which adds another layer of complexity if there will be an outbreak in US or the Liberation phase may come, I’d think some Bays like Boston bay most known for the British shipment and tea party could be a map. -me
Why should the inability to cure blight be an issue for non-abrahamic nations? Other nations can still fight the dead, and deal with infections the old fashioned way with quarantine/execution. At best it seems like a minor convenience for when you have a priest and a known infected, and it isn't a permanent cure either.
As the ottoman empire fell, i would make some theories about some balkanic countries that were isolated enough and christian, potentially Greece or Romania as Romania was already a country densely populated by christians, and greece was already preparing a revolution, mainly based on christianism.
when I first played, i was just exited to see a better looking Napoleonic game and thought the zombies were a bonus gamemode. I was very happily dissapointed

I could see any US maps going down like this:
The War of 1812 still occurs.

If there’s one military organization in the world that is more than capable enough for dealing with ruthless zombies, it’s the United States Marine Corps. They’ll be fine.
POV: *New York has been overrun and so has the east coast*
*Get the fifers to play Star Spangled Banner. Prepare the cannons. We shall FIGHT against these impure beings.*
The most deadly weapon on earth is a marine and his rifle
It would be cool to fight the blights in new Orleans, New York, Washington DC and other east cities
the amount of people who think an 1812 America could fend off a zombie horde is comical
I love how armies of over 50,000 men with razor sharp swords, ballistic cannons, and guns that can fire from a distance of over 500 meters are struggling against a horde of scrawny starved rabid humans
Human wave tactics work
I mean they had no idea of what they were up against
To be fair. Theyre usually a massive horde of undead demons specifically

A priest can cure the early stage of infection and the crucifix can temporarily stun them also supports that fact.
and in Leipzig, zombies spawn in graves

I feel like the Ottoman Empire didn't fall because they weren't Christian, but because they might have fractured due to either the emperor dying or people seeing an opportunity to split off. Just my opinion tbh
The dev said that the ottoman empire collapsed not fell to the zombies. So it's very probable that you're right
its both that and the Blight
The ottoman empire was out of the events and were not effected idk why maybe bc they are muslim and the blight is seeking christians maybe?
The dev who said that doesn't make the lore, so it was unofficial
I agree with is guy

my Theory is that Napoleon want more men for his army so he made a deal with the devil that the undead will come back alive. But the undead did not list to Him, and kill every one.
That would be interesting
nope, if Napoleon DID made a deal, then france would've fell to the blight fast, and we have Catacombs as a map with civilians still being evacuated, best case theory is that it started in Russia during Napoleon's invasion of Russia

It would be a great plus to the lore and immersion if we could watch the blight begin to spread in Britain.
i’d love that too, but children canonically cant turn, as in the bible they are incapable of sin or turning away from god because their brains arent developed to the fullest, so they’d just die rather than turn. women are still alive, but i think g&b is more afraid of its weird community to add them
@@manteroidoh no, G&B has THAT community?
I think in regards to that, a map involving a group of civilians (men and women) trying to escape a newly overrun city would be rather cool, running from building to building with makeshift weapons.

It would be cool if they incorporated the emperors in game into some kind of escort game mode where you have to keep one player alive at all costs until you make it to the end
Holdout apperantly incorporates them, but one player sadly isn’t the emperor

Asia, the Americas, Africa, and Oceania is likely being affected by the Blight through, either zombification or infection of the virus.
banger video as always
You already know
I have a question.
Philippines would be safe likely, and maybe Indonesia as well, me not mentioning them was a total oversight on my part
@@TophatKing306Indonesia is most likely an unsafe country since it isn't that much Christian
04:53 Thank you for remembering Portugal. It is usually forgotten.
My boy Portugal always being forgotten 😔
Regarding South America, I think the blight would expand there. Portugal owned Brazil then and several Spanish colonies weren't independent yet until the newest lore point in the Catacombs of Paris. Chile, Colombia, Paraguay, Argentina, and Venezuela. Those newborn countries would try to trade with the Europeans and make the Blight come to the entirety of America. Landlocked countries would still be affected due to river trading such as Paraguay which traded through the Paraná River. So yeah, the Blight could or would expand to South America through British, French, Spanish, etc. boats.
My fav UA-camr that I just found in UA-cam

10:05 Tiny detail, the U.S. flag actually had 15 Stars _and_ Stripes during the War of 1812
About the American Regiment available in Spooky Hollow, there is the thing where the regiment is “Marines” and by that what I mean is that the US Marines are Naval military power which in my own theory, the United States could be the protagonist or main of the liberation of Europe, because so the US blocked off all trades which unlike United Kingdom where the citizens do not know what is the Blight, US understood immediately including it’s citizens being on high alert which adds another layer of complexity if there will be an outbreak in US or the Liberation phase may come, I’d think some Bays like Boston bay most known for the British shipment and tea party could be a map.

I think those would maybe be fine(?) but like, beyond Istanbul and into its middle eastern lands it probably is not making it
