A pressure sensor fails in the module gm said the cause is from the the brake fluid level being too high when the calipers are retracted so the pressure sensor sees the pressure is too high because there is no room for more fluid in the resivour so the pistons stop before going all the way in and when you manually get the pistons in the rest of the way that damages the pressure sensor. I was told buy techs at the chevy dealer next to my shop you can also cause damage to some of the vehicles if you press the brake pedal to the floor like trying to pump the brakes after a brake job rather then retracting with the scanner so they remove the neg battery cable so they dont do that by accident and if the battery cable is off its ok to pump them up just be sure they are fully pumped and dont forget to do the relearns after
Had the same issue with a customer's 18 Equinox last week. C0561-43 after a brake job. Tried reflashing the EBCM with no success. Tried a used EBCM, and GM won't allow the VIN to be overwritten on used parts. GM does not have any EBCM modules in their warehouses, and no lead time on backorders. So frustrating.
when DTC ended with letter D means it is hardware issue you may try to programm it first but it will fail. yes it is easy to replace but you also need to program it
The mechanic is responsible for this failure. Results from manually screwing in either rear caliper piston while servicing the brakes. the sensor pressure sensor inside the EBCM is irreversibly damaged , requiring replacement

What did the technician do to cause the problem?

I took my car to a mechanic for a rear brake service and he gave me the car with this problem. Who is responsible for this repair?
Your mechanic didn't build it, buy it. or break it.
Ou boy, looks like I will have funny day, I have the same problem after I replaced rear brake pads on a 2019 equinox.
i have a flashing park light on my 2020 GMC Terrain, i'm getting the code c056d..any ideas?
EBCM failure
@@WissamAbbas how can you be so sure? are they hard to replace?

@@WissamAbbas that's what I was afraid of, needing a scanner to program it, otherwise it doesn't look very difficult 😐

CAN I GET A DOUBT WITH YOU?
how can i help?
