Todd Sucherman is the reason I started playing maple sticks. I was looking for a new stick because I found that 5a was too small in the hand, but 5b was too heavy. So Hearing him describe the way maple feels in the hand made me want to try some. So I got a pair of Vic Firth SD9 maples and I fell in love. Never looked back. I play kinda hard and they hold up.
the reason why styx switched from sure sm58 to audix mics, because styx was like "oh u know the mics on todds kitt sound pretty nice, maybe we should use them for vocals too?"
man!! i love todd, what a drummer best rock and roll drummer that ever lived in my mind, even against people like dave weckl and steve gadd, mabey even people like buddy rich yeah he's not a rock drummer but he's still very good. And still todd sucherman is still my fav! his style is different from anyone else and i like that about him i love going to my kit and trying to play like him, He's soooo inspiring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
