Hi there, I have 1600 golf with 38 Weber and 276 cam. Car smokes and overfuels on idle throwing plugs dead. I have 135 main 185 air and 45 idle jets in. Why is it overfeuling on idle. Thanx for your videos they are great
The correct way of getting your idle jet is to determine how many turns out your Mixture screw is , more than 2.5-3 turn out (then your jet is to lean/small) if it's less than 1-1.5 (then your idle jet is to big) That is the correct way , also take in consideration that you must also count your turns on the idling screw, more than 1.5 turns out then your Mixture is to small and your pulling fuel from your mains and other way around. This info is ONLY relevant if there are no vacuum leaks. Cool videos , hope my input helps
Thank you for this video. I have a 318 Chrysler marine engine that I need to adjust the idle on. It stalled as I was leaving the dock and scared the daylights out of me.
Will like to know the jetting for a l28 engine
On what carb please?
3236 weber
where did u get the carburetor guide from?
I saved a copy on my Facebook page, find Carbutettor rebuild service and look under files
@@carburettorrebuildservice8964 thanks 👌😁
Please explain that a 32/36 has a primary side and secondary each with a different jet
correct, it usually has different jets, i have used the same size main jest on some cars with a smaller air correction on the secondary.

Turn the idle jets in all the way, the engine should die. now turn both out 1/4 at a time. please let me know how you get on.

HI. could you perhaps assist with a contact place where one could purchase various jet sizes please. Thanks
Hi, if you are in South Africa then Whatsapp 060 654 6966
May I ask where to look at when the idle affects when clutch+break is pressed?
Hi, i dint think it is a carb problem, perhaps check your thrust bearing.

Will your car idle and start without an idle mixer screw?
It will start but it should not idle.
