Fun fact, shara's eyes don't actually track the camera, its the hollow eye illusion. Basically shara's eyes are dug into its model head instead of rounded out of the head like everyone else's. TeaCommonShark has a great clip about it that explains this a lot better than I can
did you men that clip where he forced shara's eyes to focus on one spot, and you could see them trying to jump to look at the camera, even when the eyes were rounded by mods? it still looks at you, it just also uses an optical illusion to smooth it out and make it seem more realistic

I was scrolling through Pinterest and when I hopped on UA-cam, the first thing I saw was the thumbnail picture and my god, the nightmare fuel… I was not ready.
An illusion or not, the eyes really does make one uncomfortable. And even if it is an illusion, it is done with intent. Look up what Shara is inspired by, and you'll see just how detailed he really is.
I like Shara's design qnd concept, but the eyes tracking the camera is such a good touch that puts it at the top of my list for best Monster Hunter dragons. Tying it in with Shadow of the Colossus? A+ decision.
i remember i watched a mhw fact vid awhile ago that i cant remember the name of apparently shara's eyes are just concaved with fully clear lens so the eye tracking is just an illusion this could be wrong and the eyes might actually track you but ay food for thought
@@adannator1546they're probably supposed to look like they're tracking you, the illusion just being a clever way to do it while being as light on resources as possible
hey did you know that the eyes do not actually follow the camera? the eyes are still made to track your hunter but their form is what causes the illusion that they track the camera since they are not spheres but slightly concave, a clever trick imo
Fun fact: if you are playing Lance, Shara does his big forward beam, and you block it facing Shara, you will be chipped continually until you die. You either have to get out of the beam completely (basically impossible with World Lance's movement options) or turn yourself perpendicular to the beam, so that the pushback sends you out of the beam and stops chipping you
You mentioned on stream how you played 4U and how you kind of had to let go of LS in favor of CB and SnS because LS is kind of underpowered in there. Maybe you will come back in there and try to solo it again but LS only? Especially Gogmazios, event quests and 140 Apex monsters.

for the first time i see shara's head injury like that one .....thats it i'm going back to world to inspect or just want to say hello to all the monsters like nergigante and not alatreon
Pretty sure thats the stygian zinogre weapon design. The layered weapon system just has you spend materials (and i think some guiding lands materials?) from the monster in question to set the layered weapon. Been a while since I looked at world's layered systems
