Funny enough when I first started watching the show in 2004-2005 on GSN, I thought it was current. It wasn't until the Millennium question that I learned it was late 90s into the 2000s.
I actually think I remember this one because of Jimmy's last question on the millennium and Ben's surprised response. After Laura's round, I was wondering why Jimmy only revealed the answers to 4 questions instead of 6 and forgot time ran out before he got to the last 2 questions.
The first season was MAJORLY rigged. Ben could smugly say that he had no knowledge of what questions would be asked; however, if you notice, when the contestant goes first, Ben goes into his booth (they never say it's sound-proof) and puts on his headphones. He's actually listening to Jimmy ask the questions and the contestant answering them. Then, before Ben gets asked the questions, Jimmy quickly goes through the answers of all of the questions. AND, no big shock, with this new knowledge, he gets more answers right than the contestants. Watch the episode when Ben goes first. He gets fewer questions correct. They probably got word that some people figured this out, so they covered their asses by intentionally losing a few times in the second season when the contestant goes first.
I miss this show. You did a great job!
I wish they’d bring this show back
That was great! I used to watch this show all the time, so I probably saw you before I knew you!
I love how a bunch of money just plopped from the ceiling at 5:04 instead of gently floating down.
You're watching win Ben steins money? After that Ben stein is back just another episode? Followed by millionaire with meredith vieira stay tuned!
That final round had some stinker questions even I myself don't know the answers to. Great job Laura!
I did not expect Laura to win $5,000 getting 4 correct.

4:55: Ben's face was PRICELESS!!!!
He only got three of the questions right?! That almost never happens. I am utterly flabbergasted.
Good job. Those were some tough questions.
Awesome.

How was Ben wrong on the new millennium question.
The answer was actually 2001.
MetalSmasherGaming tricky....
There is no Year 0, so every millennium and century starts on year 1. Thus, 2001 is the beginning of the millennium.
