I ran into Alaskan mosquitos during July in Wasilla. I felt violated every time I stepped out of the car. I have never seen such vicious creatures. 😭 leave a small dog outside and they might suck it dry.
From a siencey point of view living in 2024 the mosquitoes are just longing for companionship ...roll the window down... So you dont hurt their feelings

It's the worst I've ever seen them. I have a video of this same amount of mosquitoes but they are dead inside a dredge and against a window. It's weird and I'm hesitant to upload it cause it's just so weird, creepy, and I can't think of context as to why it happened, why I filmed it, and most importantly - why I uploaded it haha. Cheers!
I would like you to try using Japanese-made mosquito coils (Katorisenkou). It has almost no effect on the human body, can wipe out a swarm of mosquitoes in an instant, and has a long effective time.
The reasons for the presence of large mosquitoes in Alaska are poor hygiene in Alaska and the western part of Canada These areas contain quantities of dead animals and dirt from which mosquitoes feed and grow in size
My God! Only every great once in a while do you get into a vicious swarm of mosquitoes so bad here in Louisiana that they scare you. THAT looks serious! We had an outbreak here right before the first frost. I guess it helped the birds get fattened up for their migration or it drove them away. The flock I fed all summer disappeared after the horrible mosquitoes. I couldn`t go outside for two seconds.
It really is something else. Once you experience something like this it leaves a major impression. Usually the swarms are only this bad on the slope and out on the tundra. There are some spots in the interior that are swampy and can get kind of bad.
My best friend when camping in the Sierra mountains was my mosquito netting that fit over my hat covering my face and neck. Unfortunately my other two friends were eaten alive.
So anyways, I started blasting
It takes some serious intestinal fortitude to get out of the car.

I remember my grandpa saying you’d see a black cloud of mosquitoes out there. Never seen it myself but seeing this, holy crap.

@@Kinzey I was working at Clear AFB and was at a locals house and you couldn’t be outside. We ran from building to building. That was the worst I saw.
