Trey's eye colour of Mustard is a dead giveaway he is based on the Mad Hatter. Remember the Alice in Wonderland (1951) scene quoted by Mad Hatter: "MUSTARD? Don't let's be silly!"

This is very interesting! I didn't realize how much the names of the colors can affect the characters. Vil gets compared to generally fancy things and Rook has "hunter green" eyes and is compared to a canary, which is a type of bird. The fact that Kalim gets compared to jewels while Jamil's descriptions are more "dull" is really cool to me. Also liked how Silver gets "Aurora Silver" eyes. Looking at these videos help me appreciate twst more, thanks a lot!

I’d heard of choosing colours based on personality, but that description finally made it click for me beyond ‘Red for a fiery personality.’ After Trey’s analysis I can’t help but speculate on the meaning behind some of these other colour choices. From her example we know that Azul’s Sky blue eyes are indicative of his ambitious nature. As for Riddle, I believe that his Straight Grey eyes allude to his straightforward personality (and maybe his rigid side too) and I love that aspect of him. As for Rook, I couldn’t help but laugh when I saw Canary Gold, there’s just something very Yandere about this dude, canaries and gold. I’ll cut this comment off with Deuce, Peacock Green might reference his showy personal style (Mr. Leapord Pink and Dragon Embroidery), juxtaposed to the militaristic association of Navy as a colour worn by both Japanese and British police officers and the branch of the military.
I never knew that there were official descriptions for the characters eye and hair colors! I wonder if the Design Works books will get on official English translation someday? Thank you for sharing them! (I am also glad I am not the only one who thought that Jamil’s hair was brown (more so a dark brown) than black. I am glad to have that cleared up since sometimes it would look black as well. I also thought that Sebek had green eyes rather than gold for some reason, haha. I think it is because, in his character model in game, I noticed some green closer to his eyelids?)
So Jamil does have black hair, then why is he always depicted with brown? And I love how she describes their features. People don't usually go into detail of the type of color the characters have.
My life is a lieee I thought riddle had blue grey eyes (as in his eyes are primarily blue with grey accents that are usually more blue depending on the rarity of the card render) and ruggie who has a similar eye color gets them labeled blue grey (which they are slightly more vibrant) makes sense but it’s so similar to riddles 😭😭 No way Riddles eyes are straight up grey 😭

"Biscuit" for Ruggie is cute & on brand. & I love the "Silver/Gold" aesthetic for Jack. Considering "Peacock blue" & "Navy" for Deuce, the descriptions seem to vary between what they're really like, & what they want to be. Are they actual colour names, or made up? Either way it makes sense. The contrast between Kalim & Jamil is killing me. 😭

That’s what I’m saying too, it’s definitely more brown since compared to other characters with the same color there’s definitely a difference
I thought deuce's eyes color was cyan (probably sapphire) at first but it turned out a part of green tho
