@@shaunwild8797 Of all of the MRE review UA-camrs out there (especially surplus MREs), Steve is the only person who is more likely to eat old military rations than the others.
@@AJKam1kaz3 I subbed Steve a few months back. He really makes interesting viewing . I would like to see Steve try canned Surstromming .I know it's not rations but it would be good for a laugh. lol.
Spaghetti with meatballs was the best. Ham and egg was a sight to behold. Your "pudding" sure didn't look like Bill Cosby Jello pudding that's for sure. ;-)
Tune in next week and find out if they are all still in the show. (Seriously though they are all alive and well... When I say ‘well’, I mean no worse off than they were before they started. They all clearly have something going on to eat this one in the first place!)
If it's heated/cooked, canned and sealed properly, there is no way for bacteria to survive in the can. So technically, if the can is in good nick, so is the food.
@kevin lawrence C.Botulism needs an entry point. If the can is in good nick, there is no way botulism can get inside. That’s why as a general rule you don’t eat food from dented or damaged cans because it could be compromised. If food is canned properly. The food is essentially preserved until the material that it is canned inside is compromised. Or the food was not pasteurised properly, but this is normally evident with either a bloated can or excessive gas escaping when you pierce it. In which case avoid eating. The basic principle of canning is that you preserve the food in a sterile environment. If the food remains sealed, it remains safe. Although, the condition of the food may change over time.
@kevin lawrence Expiration dates are used in canned goods due to food safety standards and legislature. Typically canned goods are good to eat as long as they remain sealed. Obviously common sense would dictate to not eat extremely old canned food unless absolutely necessary.
Chill people, the cans are almost certainly reproduction, if old, and the “Mouldy” chocolate at the beginning is just coco butter you get. Lastly eating stuff out of cans gives you the runs and just tastes of can.
Guess these people are fine with the possibility of getting botulism from these cans that look like they were canned before some of them were born #DarwinAward
Ok so...a few things. First there is no way these are actually C-rations from the Vietnam war era. The cans are in WAY to good of condition. Second and more importantly, since Botulism is a very real thing, there's no way a TV show could be cleared to have people eat canned food that old.
British veterans: Who on earth would eat this?!
Steve1989MREInfo: NICE!
Now that comment made me laugh. lol.
Nice, let's get this out onto the tray
@@dyslexiksteve2488 Looking good.

Taster : “ that and that with a bit of port, any day of the week mate”.
Commentator : “ guess who was an officer”.
Really cracked me up 😂😂😂
I think Steve1989MREInfo should be proud that the British Army is copying his craft. But they need to get this stuff onto a tray!
Nice!
Not really fair judging something that is 50 years old
@Milkchocolatte1 clearly they didn't. And I'm not sure they were supposed too. MREs have a 5 year date
Actually enjoyed C-rats in the early 70's, but I wouldn't have the guts to try it now.
I would agree; and I LIKED that ration, back in the day when it was fresh!
Didn't get it out onto a tray. Not nice.
More of these please, I truly enjoy
Will this be a series? I would d like that but the commentator gets annoying after a while.
I don't know of anyone who had food poisoning, some of our rat packs had second world war dates. yes it did bung you up until you ate fresh again
What happened to the cigarettes, we got cigarettes in our c rations in Nam.
"Infected toe nail, fungal infection" I'm going to spit out my lunch due to laughter.
Where even steve drew the line that royal army dude seperated the men from the boys 😂😂

Mre’s sure came a long way
Is everyone still alive?? anyone sick got the runs ??? Just wondering

Maybe you should have tested the vc rations, might have reason to complain.
Was the edited in commentary really all that necessary?
John Smith not at all, its just annoying
Won't this give you food poisoning?

Trust me, it was real and not a reproduction!
Great memories, I ate so many over many years, bloody lovely when you are starving. don't knock it, Brexit is coming, lol
That sarcastic commentary was quite annoying. Not upper classed enough to be British sarcy humor
