Meticulous, and almost perfect, respectfully leaving intact the house's history. I love watching this couple: Marina is a lovely, charming girl, fearless on ladders, scaffolds and rafters, and Illia is every woman's dream - a strong, strapping guy who does jobs around the house and admits to his mistakes. Almost perfect.
Marina is a woman. Her daughter is a girl. Do you notice Marina doing projects also? If not please review previous videos.
I apologize to Marina if I've caused offense. Where I live it is no insult to call a woman a girl, and some women prefer it. And certainly she would not be climbing ladders, scaffolds and rafters if she were not doing projects. I meant only to applaud the industry and talent of both. @@jt1364
And she smiles throughout. I love it.
Wonderful human beings who are an inspiration to all who have observed them from start to finish. Your modesty, and hard work, and uncomplaining persistence are a lesson to us all.
Illia seems to know how to do everything…from roofing to plumbing to electrical wiring! And teaches himself how to do something if he is new to it. Two words for him, though~~knee pads or knee protectors. They strap on over your jeans and come in very handy when you are up and down often… as when he was sealing the wood floor. He will be glad he took care of his knees in another ten years or so! The tiny house is coming along beautifully. So glad for you two!
I must admit that I never cease to be amazed by your willingness to commit to hard work as a couple/ family, Illia constantly seems inhumanly unstoppable and then we see Marina on her knees scrubbing the floor....
People,, I ache for days after watching your videos Please spare a thought for us old folks watching you young folks behave like superheroes😉🤣
I am just kidding of course (apart from the compliments which were real and meant) please keep working hard and inspiring others to follow their own dreams - stay safe
So many steps in renovation, each one sets up the next. You guys are my personal poster children of hard work,
good spirits and perseverance!
So much credit goes to Ilya (rightfully so), but Marina is just as diligent and hard working! I so admire how she works to keep these places clean, even in the chaos of building work. Kudos to you both! 👏👏
The wood floor looks wonderful.
You are an incredible team. You are a treasure of motivation and inspiration to people to afraid to start a little project. You teach us that every project is one step at a time.
Ohhh my gosh….I laughed so hard when you reaching for the camera! So funny!
A positive attitude and "can do" spirit are your trademarks. Well done with the floors.
It is looking more and more like a finished house and not a "project". Good work, Ilia and Marina!
Our admiration for Ilia grows with each episode. He seems to be expert in every aspect of Building Restoration i even electrical.
His Ukrainian
Love how he adapts, improvises and overcomes. When he is finished he is a master home builder and smart enough to run if anyone asks for his help. I had the same journey.
The work is progressing because of the hard work you are doing. It's looks wonderful. Soon it will be finished.
I love the work that you are doing. ❤
I look forward to seeing these videos every week. It is so fun to watch the progress,
Illia and Mariana that was great enjoyed it thank you for sharing and your time was really great never miss a video and can't wait for next video thank you
It is a good thing when renovating to be able to say "Good enough!"
The two of you are doing wonderful work , The finish on the wood flooring look's stunning.
Doing a great job on the electrics well done, It's all looking good👍
The floor is beautiful, all the much better from being made from reclaimed wood ❤❤❤
Such a great episode! The finish line is getting closer and it’s looking beautiful. Loved the scene with the cows out your window, and the change of seasons. The wood floor is beautiful! You had me smiling at the wonderful progress you’ve made, then I saw this was the 165th episode. It’s been a long journey, but you’ve hung in there and done a beautiful job! Thank you for taking us along with you!🍁😊
Absolutely love the cows
Everything is coming along nicely! Looking more & more like a home!
It’s really nice to see your house transform into a home!
I have always loved the tranquil setting your home is in. But especially in the Autumn.
Resilience. Perseverance. All wrapped up in love. Congratulations to you both for another step completed! It will be a cozy place for what will probably be some relatives? ❤️🇨🇦
Try neat white vinegar on the rust stains. You just put it on and leave it for 10 mins and wipe off and reapply until gone 😀 Hope this helps x
I'm wondering if the tiles are made of asbestos. If your tiles are faded, yellowed, stained, greasy or oily looking, or show other discoloration in spots, that may be an indication that they contain asphalt and thus asbestos.
Your tiny house is looking beautiful, you are going to be very happy there
You two are amazing! Is there nothing you can’t do? Floor looks great.
Such great progress! It’s going to be a wonderful little place.
You are getting there and it will be wonderful. Thank you once again, for sharing you daring adventure.
I’ve been following you from almost the beginning. Your videos have always been enjoyable and I love how your videography has improved over time. They are interesting, inspiring and so fun to watch. Keep doing the good work - I adore you and your family!
I continue to follow and enjoy your posts. But the views of the skyline are beautiful to see as well. Thanks for sharing!
🎉wow!🎉 Illia your floor is gorgeous!!!
If you would like to get rid of the rust and marks on your floor, maybe try some CLR (calcium, lime and rust) remover. It will probably do the trick. Most hardware stores have it or do the Amazon thing. It's looking great! Keep at it.
You could try a light tile floor sander / polisher?
I love the country vibe in and around de Hoeve!!
The wood floor is the start of looking like a home.😊 But it's hard for atleast me to hear you at full volume.
There is a little gear symbol. If you find it on the screen, you can sometimes have captions in your language. Helps me, my hearing not great these days, makes accents a challenge that didn’t used to be.
Best wishes
I’m almost deaf and rely totally on subtitles on all sites, Marina and Ilia do a great job with those. John from Scotland 🏴
The wood floor looks great! The rust on the tile might be removed by using baking soda. Just mix a small amount of water until you have a paste, spread it on the rust and leave it for an hour or so, then use a stiff brush and work on the rust. Also, if you can find floor wax spread that all over the floor like Illya did with the wood floor. That should help with the dullness. BTW, if the dark spot is mildew, plain clorine bleach should help lighten that as well.
That floor, is awesome!
Coming along the floors are beautiful.
Thanks for your vid 😇💟💟💟 Love and bless you all guys.
You are doing an excellent job and oh my word that floor is absolutely gorgeous. Oh, I’ll this love that that is so beautiful.
The wood floors are beautiful 😍
Milk house is so warming and inviting. Love it
Lots of progress this week - like the wooden floors
Thanks for explaining about the cows. The floors look great and I like the idea about a nice rug.
Great job flooring looks awesome have a great week
Once furnished and rugged it will look great.
I really like your wooden floors. Everything looks so good!
Once again great progress and closer to the end goal of having it completed congratulations to you both 👍👍👍🏴
Wooden floors look beautiful. Wiring done, almost. Won't be long now. Thanks you two. See you next week.
Big jobs completed. Step by step you are getting the home ready. 👍👍👍
It is wild the work you are putting into the little house when this will be your temporary house while working on the main house. At least there is a lot of lessons learned. And I’m glad there is still a long time we get to follow you two. It could be an idea to put linoleum over those tiles, it adds some softness and insulation. And Ilia - there are specific cutters for cutting insulation off wires.
Also, always love your landscape shots!
Beautiful Marina! 🌻
Great job your getting there the floors are beautiful. Man your wiring looks so difficult. Hang in there God Bless you all.
Comet cleanser will remove a lot of the stains on tiles, a little wax will seal the pores and make floor easier to mop in future. Your projects are coming along and looking better every day.
The imperfections are fine. Some rugs that suit your style will take away any dissatisfaction you have for any stains on the floor. :)
Illia,
The floor looks good .
Getting electric is a good step.
Soon you will get to move in.
Happy for you and the family
Step by step sounds nice. Good job🎉 C U next time ❤
You can grind (wet), polish (wet) and stain the stone floor. It will look really great. The machines can be hired/are for rent.
Good work the floor looks fine ❤
The wood floor looks amazing! The electrical box install was too. Lots of pumpkins and squash on the deck - you had a great harvest! Cheers.
The tiny house is really looking good ❤❤😊😊
Great job. Vinegar is good in mop water so it don't leave streaks. And it helps remove rust.
For the rust, you should make a paste with sodium carbonate (soda crystals...) and water, just like a good toothpaste consistency and let it for 10 minutes then remove. It worked in my home, just like magic! 👍
Coming along very well…. 👍🥰
Are you planning to put insulation in the attic? Put a layer of liquid wax on the tiles and they will be protected and will look a lot better. A very fast fix.
Getting close!
Joy to see you again.
I love work!!!
I can watch it for hours.
Good one lol😂
Hallo you Beautiful couple fantastic work congratulations ❤❤❤
Love your work.
You did a pretty good job stripping the insulation, I'm an electrician and it can be very difficult, depending on the manufacturer. I always ran the stanley knife along the length and made a circle at the bottom, but you get used to how much force to use without cutting into the wire.👍
Love your floor
Great job looking sharp!!!
the tiled floor is fine just give it a buff with a fine white polishing pad on a sander if you don`t have anything else, CLR will remove the rust stains .
You might want to try some jiff with the metal or green kitchen scrubbers, they will not scratch the tile, and should removed some/most of the marks on the tiles. A garden kneeling pad will help protect your knees and back. Love how things are looking. i miss renovating..
Ilia and Tim from IAG Farms are the hardest working men; 2 different countries 2 different lifestyles same dedicated work ethic ❤
Thanks for the video!
You need a squeegee mop. Easier than on hands & knees. You can also clip on a Scotch Brite uncut pad onto it with binder clips. More scrubbing power!
Hi. I am using following tool to remove the isolation of electrical cables: Jokari Universal-No-12.
Beautiful, beautiful work. Little by little the work is all coming together.👏👏
So beautiful
Great hard work!
You always have great music!
Floor looking really beautiful. I was patiently waiting in the beginning, then I thought the speed was too fast and then it came, the modesty like and subscribe, hehehe, love it.❤😂
Looking good ❤
May I suggest Chlorine and Soda. But you'd definitely need to wear rubbber gloves to protect your hands. Apart from that just wow! Brave and disciplined like always even when it gets tough. Love the progress
The floors look so amazing! So much scrubbing Marina, but it looks so good! And good job on the wiring Illia! My electrician husband gives you a thumbs up!
You can use a paper tissue with WD40 for rust removal. Leave it for few hours.
Warm Oxalic acid, or citric acid solution works well to remove the rust stains. Vinegar would marginally well too. Vinegar would work well for the lime wash residue.
With all you have taken on so far I’m surprised that you didn’t cut down the trees and hand saw them yourself. Wish I was young enough and had the ambition to do what you have done.
Looking very nice from where it started!!!
Love the floors the wood is so pretty and happy you didn’t paint them. You guys are going to have withdraws when you get done
Beautiful
to get the rust off the tile floor, use either ketchup or CLR......CLR cleans lime, rust, etc off of pourous materials. Graceville, FL usa
You are brave, electricity is dangerous
It’s a home now! That tile floor! I was going to support the vinegar idea, but carpet or paint for concrete might be considered. I have seen amazing products to paint a garage floor. Or, a nice big rug and, done😅
I don't know if you have this product where you live but in the States we have a product that can help with rust stains. It is called CLR which stands for Calcium, Lime, and Rust. It is good about taking out rust stains on surfaces.
Try soaking the rust spots with lemon juice, then scrub. It should remove it!
Amazing
