@@mobiousenigma No idea frankly speaking :-)
What a beauty! Ilia had me laughing out loud at the end.😄 A proper door for the sanctuary of tired parents, 🤗❤️🌈🙏🕊️💙💛
Still giggling 😄❤️
My goodness, I have to commend Illa for his patience. Cleaning that door was a painstaking and tedious task...great job!!
Tedious for some, therapy for others.
Y'know, when you guys finally run out of renovations to film in like five or six or ten years, Illia should continue the channel with various woodworking projects for around the property. Not because he's an expert or anything, more just because he has such fantastic teddy bear energy and it's become a highlight of my week to watch him find a way forward through all these various projects. And because I can't imagine having the house ready to move into is when he would stop finding projects to do.
I really appreciate the effort you two are putting into sourcing and using old materials for this renovation. I understand that part of it is budget concerns, but also it really is better for the environment, and so much of the old stuff you rescue is beautiful and worth saving. I wish everyone were so careful and deliberate about their choices.
What an awesome post!!! I love watching both Illia and Marina putting so much love, effort and energy into this renovation. Now they will have a space to relax when their day is done. 🥰
Recycling a door and making it beautiful is a good thing!❤
That door is goes perfectly with your building in the old style. The wood was revealed to have a beautiful grain and looks very appropriate.Your little house is so charming and the various glimpses of plants and so on make me look forward to seeing it all .
Don’t you just love that heat gun. I’ve had mine for years, helped a lot when I removed 3 layers of varnish off doors and trim. You two are amazing with the blend of talents we are so lucky to watch your progress.
The old door is beautiful, and it looks perfect in there. Glad you saved the old hardware because it completes the picture. Congratulations on another job well done!
Illia is so funny.
I always enjoy watching him work.
Great job on the door.
I love it when something old can be reused.
It goes perfect in the tiny house.
Love you guys
Stay safe
That was some job on that door. I kept wondering, however, how long it actually took to remove all that paint. That heat gun certainly made the job go faster and certainty less messy than chemicals. I have to admit building the frame had me admiring Illia's skills. Beautifully done.
The door looks lovely, l really love old solid wood doors. The whole install looks very professional, you are becoming a super talented woodworker Illia.
Illia has the quality of extreme patience. Thanks for letting us see that at work. MUCH better than simply buying a new door.
haha @ Illia rubbing all over the finished door! Such humor!
Annika must think you don’t like her anymore. Sad little girl. The door is beautiful. ❤❤
Your old door turned out so beautiful, Illia. Great job on the tricky install as well! Your tiny home is looking warmer and cozier with the radiators , plants and a few furnishings and plants!🥰👍🏻👏🏻
watching the paint peel off was so satisfying. Beautiful restoration. 👍💖
So glad you chose to wax the wood. The door is gorgeous, a work of art unto itself. Illia, you are a smart man so I presume you tested the paint for lead before removing it? Love the video editing.
A lovely wooden door was hiding under that paint. All was that was needed to reveal it was some hard work by a dedicated man.
Great job on the door and frame. Beautiful results. I imagine that you are both proud of the work you have achieved on this little house.
Illia seriously the cutest builder out there. I was expecting the Illia dance when the project was completed dis not expect him posing like that and showing off his work ROFL😂😂😂
I really cannot believe how much Illya has come along since first starting these projects.....he has become such a natural now....encore Illya.
Illia being the sexy display model at the end was so funny. It's a beautiful door and you can be very proud of all the work you did.
He's not a bit camera shy anymore.....great video guys.
Your husband makes me laugh!
Always a job well done no matter what he does. His manner of explaining things and his sense of humor are great. I enjoy the both of you as you get your little house completed.
LOL. You made me laugh out loud at the end of the video. Nice job. That door looks brand new.
Ha ! Skipping in the parking lot, caressing the doors, see what we have accomp!ished ? 😂. Well done ! 💗
That was a good choice of heater for your Tiny House!
I have been following you both on here for nearly two years and anything you start and finish is at a zenith point it’s all perfect and I love the transformation of everything xx
Great job on the door - it looks lovely.
Everything is coming together, we'll done both of you, and Marina could sell me anything with that smile...😊
Next time you use the same holes with the same screws, fill the holes with glue and matches. After drying, you can grab the old screws again.
Beautiful old door 🚪 so well done 😊
😂😂😂 Illia, the door dancer 😅😅 so funny. Great job on the door Illia, looks awesome, and i loved the way you did the frame. Marina, you're so lucky to have a husband with so many talents 😂😊
I just love ilya’s sense of humour. And, “let’s do this” is the best phrase ever. Beautiful door, good job you two.
Great old door restoration! Well done! To get paint off of metal hinges, knobs, handles I use vinegar & water in a slow cooker for a few hours on low. Like brand new with no scrubbing or sanding.
So glad you didn’t paint the door, it looks amazing! And that hardware, they don’t makem like this used to
The door fits well and looks beautiful for sure well done
Hi, nice work on the door. Here’s a little tip that I got from a Carpenter fill the holes with wood glue and toothpicks jam as many toothpicks in as you can shave them off now you have wood to screw into Esta luck.
TIP: Clamp you drill into a bench vise and a small quick release clamp on the trigger and wire brush away.
Brilliant work as usual, a joy to watch you both work and achieve each step. Your patience and wonderful spirit and character is both soothing and inspiring. Thank you for sharing yo9ur adventures.
Thank you for much laughter from your finish. I really needed that ❤
Die Türe sieht so schön aus. Ihr zwei seid sehr sympathisch. Danke fürs Teilen eurer Videos 😊
That is a beautiful door. Glad you left the natural wood. Amazing what you have done with the tiny house - I can just imagine how the big house will look some day!
I am not believer, but looking at your labor words come to mind "God has no hands but yours"🤩good job
It was so neat to see the main house again even in just a memory!
It's good that you could save $$ by buying the electric heaters instead of fixing the old wood-burning stove and pipe, etc.
I hope it works out well with your electric bill.
You did an awesome job on the old door. Beautiful wood was hidden beneath the old dull paint. I also liked the "heat and scrape" method you used to remove the paint.😊 Nice to have Marina there by your side to help! Great video!👍
The door is a nice addition to your new tiny home.
I saw you stripping the paint from the old door. In France our old doors were painted with lead paint so please be careful.. We were told just to paint over the old lead paint and it would be no problem. You have made a beautiful job of the little house with all your hard work
Lead was commonly an ingredient in paint used prior to 1970, so essentially anything painted before 1970 should be treated as if it is lead paint. It can be addressed safely with a few precautions. As long as those precautions are taken, there is no need to worry.
Why did you not get a heat pump (air con)? For that small building one would be sufficient and you can heat with it in the winter and cool it in the summer. Also, the heat pump would help with moisture and move it outside of the building.
I'm guessing they are trying to save money where they can since this will be a temporary living arrangement. I'm impressed by how they have saved so much by reusing and doing the work themselves. Maybe they could get a dehumidifier at some point for humidity control.
Illia is a renovation artist. The door restoration is magnificent.
Loved the door adoration at te end, Illya. Great workmanship.x
Love the modelling at the end, can imagine the giggles.👍😂
Success! The unpainted door is very handsome.
What a good heatgun. I have not seen so good paint taking away.
Nice to see the progress and how you can be in the reconstructed areas, it looks cozy.
Nice to be able to reuse a door. Did I miss the part about you test the door paint for lead? Always concerned when old paint is being removed as there is a probability for lead paint. I would encourage the use of a mask for any scraping or sanding. After 40 years in Healthcare I’ve seen so many illness and conditions that simple protection could have decreased problems.
Making progress. Look forward to future videos.
The door looks so beautiful, but, oh my, what a lot of work!
Beautiful job
Would be nice to have an update video of the whole project
The door is beautiful!!! The heating things (do not know the name) is better than having that older fireplace.
Lol Ilia You're going to make your wife jealous of that door! 😂
Well done! Bravo!
That door could have caught on fire!
@@hermithank9514 😂
Good job Ilya! A proper door for the tiny house.
Fabulous! I am glad to see you wearing a mask as I am pretty sure the door paint was lead based!
I love the showing off of the door at the end! Wonderful work from the both of you. Congratulations.❤
Definitely, 100 000 thousands times worth saving this door which became BEAUTIFUL 😍 👍👌👏👏👏Illia
I keep a propane heater in my shop. It is not sealed very well so I am not concerned with toxic vapors.
The shop heats up in less than 10 minutes, and then I shut it off. Now I expect lots of folks will say 'that is so dangerous'. I lived in a nuclear submarine for 500 days and I didn't die, but it did smell really gross.
Put some spray lacquer on those hinges to keep them bright after installation. Very nice job on that door!
Thanks for the great tip! I need to check whether we have it at home :-)
@@DeHoeveOldBelgianFarm You should be able to find a rattle spray can at your local supplier where you buy paint and other supplies as you've shown in a few of the videos. (which I've been bing-watching) Since you have a lot of moisture there on your property, after you take that hardware back to bare metal, the clear coating will help to keep it nicer over time.
Outstanding work guys!!!!! I especially enjoyed the "Vanna White" moves at the end!!!!!
La puerta ha quedado espectacular, buen trabajo, saludos desde España.
glad to see you now have a mask on. Stay safe!!!
Illia, you are the hardest worker I have ever seen! Both of you make a super great team!
I LOVED THE END! You two are the best🩷
Ilia, you are a truly beautiful door model 👐😌😏😂❤️❤️ it's a beautiful door that needs to have your name carved into it so everyone will know who loved it best for ever 🥰🥰 TY for sharing your lives Ilia and Marina ❤ you warm my soul 🥰
All I have to say is that I have done that and I could almost smell the warm paint as you were working.
Beautiful project beautiful door. Beautiful video. I did not know about surf shark until this video. Thanks for sharing.
Fantastic job well done x
Removing paint from old hardware can be a pain. Try boiling Ina pot of water until the paint bubbles off.
Wow what a beautiful door, you can see it was made well and you brought it back to life with care and respect. 👏❤️
Your little house was really nice. Very well done
it was almost dilapidated.
and this door will be nice too, it looks nice with mirror doors.
I love the character of the old wooden door, especially the colour when you waxed it.👍
Love the old pine door, nice work. Ilia, you should get work as a door model. 😊
Door and your work are fantastic
Good job on the hinges and lock. Sadly modern paint remover has been made so safe for the user that it no longer works as intended! The stuff available 40 years ago would have saved you a lot of trouble.
Ilia modeling the door at end was worth everything!!
Your radiators should be plugged directly to the wall ,NEVER a surge supressor. Great job stripping that door and making the frame, learned something new!
The "Custom Made House". "Beautiful Door by Ilia". 😉
Look up on UA-cam how to remove paint or crud from hardware. You can slow simmer in a crockpot overnight or something like that. Very easy.
Ilya was so funny at the end. Great job.
Love that wood!!! Illia does amazing work and loving his results makes me happy.
You have a right to be proud of your work! Thanks for the video!
Amazing work. Ilia is incredibly meticulous.
Very nice door and fun video 🤩
Beautiful work- Beautiful Door !!!!
I'm not sure if anyone else mentioned it, but with old paint like that you should definitely test for lead content. A testing kit is easy to use and can provide peace of mind before sanding
Really loved this episode! So beautiful and coming together nicely. I just miss seeing Anneke!
Well done Illia!!
That door was very beautiful under the old paint. I am still laughing at Illia returning the trolley...
I love refinishing old doors…I’ve never done it but if you soak the hinges and door knobs in boiling water old paint will peel right off…also if you’re using the old holes to screw in the hinges you can fill the old hole with a piece of toothpick and the screw will hold tighter!!
I came here to recommend this. I actually boil the hardware for 10-15 minutes. You can add some white vinegar to the water if you'd like. Use an old pot that you don't care about, though!
Und wieder tolle Arbeit gemacht 👋👍👏🏻🤗😉
beautiful door, there is nothing like old wood. keep on the good work and God bless
Quel talent de comédien Ilia 😂 mais résultat de qualité 👍🏻
Merci d’avoir filmé Anneke 🐈⬛… Elle est un personnage important de votre chaîne UA-cam 😂
À bientôt !!
🌸🌸🌸
Beautiful door restoration, you cannot buy quality and character like that anymore.
Illia and Mariana that was great work on that door better then any one you could buy and it has a history on the farm I loved the workmanship you put into the door came out great thank you for sharing and your time was really great never miss a video I been here for the first video and I well be here for when you move in the big house.
