Looking at the most accurate direct translations i can see that you put a lot of effort into making it a coherent song when it comes to the lyrics and that you wanted to make it as faithful as you could and for that I congratulate you. As a professional translator (not for Japanese) I agree wholeheartedly. Too many people just translate the words and never give it a second pass for comprehensibility. It's truly a dark art to correctly translate both the words as well as the meaning. The lyrics in this rendition strike that balance better than any other rendition I've seen here on YT.
Yeah, I hate when he like keeps some lyrics untranslated like sasagayo and sono chino sadame but not jaeger, it's also not in Japanese, so It would've worked really well.

I didnt care for Epica's version at all. Then again, I've never been a fan of theirs, since operatic female vocals and symphonic/power metal have just never mixed well for me. Sorry to correct you, but if you read the description and listen closer to the song then you'll see that the lyric actually says "sick of the cage, that's just the beginning". I interpreted that as meaning that the people inside of the walls are sick of living their life as sheep with no curiosity about the outside world. As a professional translator (not for Japanese) I agree wholeheartedly. Too many people just translate the words and never give it a second pass for comprehensibility. It's truly a dark art to correctly translate both the words as well as the meaning. The lyrics in this rendition strike that balance better than any other rendition I've seen here on YT.

I interpreted that as meaning that the people inside of the walls are sick of living their life as sheep with no curiosity about the outside world.
