The gland is an additional part that "locks" the mechanical seal in place. Think of it like putting leftover in a tubaware. The food is the mechanical seal, the tubaware is the stuffing box, and the lid that goes on top of everything is the gland to keep everything in place.

I am having a problem fixing seal of pumping machine after fixing correctly it still refuse to pump water.
To reduce the friction and high temperature what type of cooling system is used in that area.

Hi there. The stationary is not rotating. To make it clearer you can see our logo on the top of the stationary and it does not move.
