    Hi Gabriel, there must be a way of getting around with a scooter or bike rental to make your week easy. You are going to exhaust yourself in that humidity it's taxing on the body. You know you love going to Hawaii regardless of how expensive it is even without a ride.

    I'm surpriced that you did not visit the COCO PALMS. You must not be a Elvis fan as I am LOL. I celebrated my 50th in Maui and my 55th in Kauai and m 60th in Honolulu. Yes, visited all the famous spots including had to touch that grande door to the concert place that where Elvis did perform that Aloha 1973 concert. Went to Pearl Harbor rented Harley to ride around the island etc etc seen it all. Now, no more Hawaii only Mexico so Viva Mexico, those Hawaii'en days are over. Nothing stays the same as they say. We get old if we live long enough and then we still die so Viva La Vida and Viva Mexico.

    This is the time of year (next month for sure) that the surf competitions are happening on Oahu North Shore, monster waves at Waimea and Sunset, smart not to venture too far out, the rip tides can be dangerous in the winter, maybe if you had a wrist strap for the camera.

      I wish that he had given the prices of the foodstuff that he bought. Years ago a friend who visited Hawaii said that the price of a gallon of milk was $11. Can't Hawaii raise cattle for milk production instead of importing it? Hawaii imports 90% of its food from the mainland USA so no wonder it is so expensive. Farmers need land but land prices are high and farm laborers have to be brought in from other countries. Not many dairies are left and egg and pig farms have closed.

    You can get a pretty affordable plate lunch at Waipouli Deli in the strip mall next to the Safeway, head south behind McDonald's. Also, Wailua Drive Inn just about 1/4 mile south of you, or at Super No1 at Haleilio road and the Hwy. It's a 1/2 mile from where you are toward your hotel, for next time you're in the area.

    Considering that a viewer who picked you up knows and trusts you from watching your videos.

    • @GabrielTravelerVideos
      @GabrielTravelerVideos  12 годин тому +1

      Various issues, trust is definitely one. Also people don't feel like having a stranger in their car, don't want to talk with someone, maybe the car is full, they aren't going very far, or they are going a ways but don't know how far you're going and don't want to commit to taking you with them when they don't know if they'll enjoy your company, etc. But waiting 15 or 30 minutes isn't bad, in many other places in the US and around the world you might wait for hours or even days.
