@psychebucc7544 Fun thing I've discovered with low honor John-- if you physically bump into/knock over lawmen out and about he gives an obviously sarcastic 'oops, sorry deputy.' Sort of like the 19th century equivalent of 'stop hitting yourself' XD
I kinda wish honor had an impact on RDR1's story. Like if you were to die with low honor, it could have John's death being praised and Ross would be seen as an unexpected hero, while high honor would have Ross being widely criticized and his corrupt actions would become public knowledge, which would then lead to his retirement
@@Cerberus589oh jesus you guys don't have an ounce of clue to what you're talking about... RDR1's Honor system doesn't equate to a 'morality-like' system like in other games such as inFAMOUS (although in inFAMOUS' case, it's labelled as the 'Karma' system) but rather that, it's just supposed to further expand the already established character of John Marston, so that means you can be anything you want, and you can choose to do things how you want, but only when it makes sense to further expand the establishment of John as a character and the story as a whole, whereas RDR2 failed in this aspect as the Honor system equated overall to a morality-like system, even though it shares the same basis level of what RDR1 set out to do such as killing innocent ppl will still make sense for the establishment of Arthurs character while in High Honor but the problem lies with how Rockstar intended Arthur's character to be and transpiring that into the Honor system that Rockstar created...
C'mon man Armadillo just got through scarlet fever, desert plague, typhus, and cholera, they don't need John Marston to add to the list of things that have plagued them in the last decade 😭

I was expecting an entirely different John in 2 because of how cold he could be in 1. Like a lot of people suggest he was a cold hearted son of a bitch when he wanted to be, and I never really got that feeling when playing RDR2. Compare the way he speaks to Uncle in the first versus the second, it’s insane
So was Arthur a lot of people tend to forget that Arthur isn't a good man neither remember he almost beaten up a sick man to death? Doesn't matter if you play High Honor Arthur or High Honor John people forget these men are dangerous outlaws. You can't magically make your past sins disappear just because you decide to do some good deeds.
I dunno. When you antagonize just once, John says some pretty fucked up shit like in the first game. "Heard Kin 'round here had a habit of marrying" "You know you're still ugly at 20 paces" "Mister you got weepy and a sweaty lip"
RdR2 NPCs: "I'm offended, so I'll tell the sheriff on you Marston and/or fight back because you insulted me with words!" RdR1 NPCs: " I remember you from 4 years ago Marston! I'll just ignore you, do nothing and take the insults."
2:06 "Do you still like nature despite what it did to you?"
Underrated scorcher
"You make me glad I'm not a single man miss" 😂😂😂😂😂
1:26 the only NPC with a good comeback.
Jesus Christ that was crazy
Damn!!! If only npc’s from rdr2 had responses like this.
@@Carguy2000-f8p rdr1 does not give a fuck, rdr2 is a bit more sterile
Arthur gave his life just so John could insult prostitutes and poor farmers instead of saving his family
Bet Arthur's ghost was thinking "Goddammit, Marston! I didn't sacrifice my life just so you could act like Micah!" when this was happening
Tbf low honor Arthur would do the same during his heyday so.
Its even worse for me
I insult everybody as jack marston
Now i got two dissapointed ghosts the likes of arthur and john

rdr1 insults were downright diabolical

Some of them are, some directly some in spirit.
@@melodicsatisfactionproductions damn i must try to look for them.
Arthur uses "Your wife must have to close her eyes *real* tight" in RDR2. Pretty sure it's one of his follow-up lines when calling a man ugly.

I swear John is even more cruel when he antagonizes people in the first game when compared to how he antagonizes people in the second game.
