i remember that being a theory for a while but i think the consensus for the narrative behind these songs is that the girl did exists at one point, Misery and Gerbera sort of alluded to this too being sung from the artist's perspective, to put it simply, the girl is the artist's lover/wife, an incident happened and as a result she died. the narrative of Leia basically revolves around the artist's grief and how he is unwilling to accept her death, he painted his lover on her deathbed and treats it as if he treated her, but because the painting isn't her it could not respond to him, not wanting to look at a world where her loved one does not live, he tear out his eyes, however after doing so he found himself slowly forgetting about her, before he forgets about her face entirely he decided to kill himself setting the atelier ablaze. As for Reon it's told in the deceased spouse's perspective, even if he could not see her, she's always by his side, wanting to stay with him more, but she couldn't, and so she could only hope for his happiness. In Gerbera, he watched as the girl laid on her deathbed In Misery we glimpsed how he felt leading up to his death, how he wished he could salvage her life. at least that's what i can gather now

...what? Reminds aren't part of the lore. It's just Yuyoyuppe remaking his old songs - similar to DECO*27's Hibana Reloaded or Two Breaths Walking. He's just showing the improvements he had since he first released those songs.

Actually this rework is way more louder than the original one...
the low end is definitely better, but i feel like they left out a lot of the brilliance in some the of the higher end, especially in the synths
