I bought a Runner 250 a few years ago before the Pro came out. I added my own GPS, volt meters and buzzers and a tonne of other stuff, cheap alternative to a GoPro, I've since taken it all of, the 40 second flight time kinda spoiled it. All that stuff belongs on a fixed wing, for the time we get to fly on a small UAV, we are better off with buzzer if it gets lost and a timer so we no when the battery is going to get low. I sincerely appreciate the positive comments on here, many on the net just slaughter the runner but like the rest of you, I never bought it to race, I bought it to learn to fly. DJI drones are good, button to take off, button to come home, button to land. They can stick their APP up their APP. Does anyone have a link to where I can learn more about the abbreviations on the controller, I can set them, but I've no idea what they mean. Before I go, the Runcam Split 2, 23g not a 90g GoPay a fortune. Brilliant quality and if you damage the lens when you land like me, £15. Less panic, more fun :-) Also, I use Turnigy 2200ma batteries, I'm only getting 10minutes of flight at best yet the quad is stripped down to nothing but the basics, I've even cut chunks out the frame. Higher amps, heavier battery, Should I stick with the original battery ? I've never flown with it. Thank you!!

I just started flying drones however in one months time I ended up ordering seven of them it has become a quick hobby of mine now it’s a problem a somehow or another the first drone I got The controller to the drone stopped working I took it apart and that was the end of that I bought me a Weiland Devo seven hopefully that was the answer to having one controller for my drones altogether I’m not sure if I did the right thing or not the cheap drone I’m trying to fly with the Devo 7 is a small $20 HJHRC how do I make this happen from A to Z
So i copied all the settings the throttle is still on the wrong side. Also i plug my drone in and it refuses to fly i get the back led to go solid meaning it is reading my transciever right? But then i cant unlock it or anything? Idek ive read manual front to back to no avail

For some reason the tx with my RTF Advance came with no settings on it at all and trying to setup via the manual was a head scratcher! Any chance you have done/ would do a vid on how to lower max power settings via the tx for beginner flyer? Struggling to make sense of the usual forum how to guides and can't find a vid! I've just transitioned from training quad and finding the jump a bit on the harsh side still!
Very informative video. really liked it. I'm new to racing drones. been pretty much flying video drones for example the MJX Bugs 2W. I just got the Walkera Runner 250R. Can you possibly do a video of how to launch and land? I flew it for the first time the other day and I couldn't get it to land properly and lock the motors. I'm back, at the beginning of your video you mentioned triggering a buzzer via the AUX2 (left/front facing)switch, I use it for a servo that drops a payload, a parachute or my pigeon 7 (similar to Falcon 9) I cannot find a servo triggered alarm. I've had lost signal, low Batt alarms. I would like a buzzer that I can trigger with a flick of a switch. Help! Thank you!!
hi I have a question for u I have a Walkera rodeo mine fpv race drone with the Devo 7 transmitter it's a bnf when I got it n I hit some kind of button on the tx n it's still beeping 😢 n I hit the reset button on the drone still beeping 😢 n I have a bind plug fo it to do I put the bind plug in the sbus plug to re binding it to drone ..n I don't have a computer to reflash the firmware on it ?

I'm due to do a video on the walkera goggle 4's and trying to get a video together on software configurations for the pro. Six22278 Yeah dude I would recommend treating yourself to some new props and emax bolts. You will get so much more power from your quad by doing just this. Also just little tip do not power up your pro without the mushroom antenna attached as you will fry your boards. Hahah thanks :) glad you guys are enjoying the videos and accent. Is there a way to set altitude hold on the Walkera Pro? As in GPS mode it holds in X & Y space but will drift in Z (altitude) where as I just want it to hold there. Also is there a hack to get the Devo 7 Throttle to self center? Thanks in advance!

hey mate, would be good to see if you can find out how to make the runner 250pro programmed to give more roll and pitch so as to be able to flip. After all there is a USB port. is there a software we can use?
theJourneyofPurpose TJOP Hey dude, thanks for the question. Right so I know that the pro runs on a software called multiwii. It's absolutely shocking unlike betaflight and cleanflight. I'm happy to give you the link for the download but you will need a masters in understanding it lol. code.google.com/archive/p/multiwii/ I would say might be worth downloading 2.4 and seeing what happens. I know once you can connect your quad you can amend settings to give you more roll. I'm looking into other software that will work better or if I can transfer to betaflight. I would very much like to know how to do that (I would prefer the gear switch though) Could you do a video on how to configure one of the switches as a arm/disarm switch? I have lost some props due to the runner 250 PRO's motors failing to stop in the event of a crash (I guess due to the fact that the props are always spinning when the 250 PRO is armed)
Do you know how to use the DEVO 10 to control Runner 250 PRO? I can bind the runner with the Devo 10 but the channel is totally mismatched. Please advise any suggestion.

Gary O'Hare I've just looked into the settings for your quadcopter, most of them are the same as this video that I made for the runner 250 but I'm not 100% sure on yours as I don't have your model to test after configuration. Sorry I can't help you more. Peace A x

Gary O'Hare thanks for the kind comment :) course I can help, test the setting tomorrow and make any notes of what it shouldn't be doing and report to me then I will look into seeing what I can do. Just make sure you read up on failsafe incase you need to drop the quad in an emergency. Peace A x

Eterio Cruz Nothing will automatically be set to the D/R switch you would have to download multiwii software for you quad to be able to assign things to switches. With amend to the throttle curve you will have to go into functions on your controller to adjust this but I would make a back up copy of your controller settings on another program file. Peace A x

Hey man, just subscribed to your page. I hope you can help. I cant get my devo 7 to bind with my furious 215. Had to replace the motors and think I may have reset the system somehow by pressing the little white button on the side of the receiver. Now it just beeps when I connect the battery and the red led flashes slowly. From what I can gather, this means that its not binding. I'm so fed up and I know its most likely a simple fix. I may just put my own receiver in, but not sure I can even do that. Would appreciate any help you could provide. like I said, at this point, I'm ready to smash this thing into a 400$ pile of scrap!!!
Hey Dude, Thanks for the subscribing :) right lets see if we can get this working for you! Sounds like we need to do a fixed ID, try this - Plug lipo into quad - turn controller on - find model tab on main screen - enter that menu and scroll down to fix ID - turn this to on - code will show up - then push down to run and click yes - when stops turn controller off and then back on this should bind the quadcopter. Thanks so much for your help. Its so hard to find anyone who knows how to work on this quad, so I tried following you directions several times but still no luck. Any other ideas?? Can I put my own receiver into this drone. It says that you can, but doesn't tell you how to do it. I would really rather avoid having to do this since this is the only walkera I on and paid a good amount for tis transmitter. Thanks man.
Prophet/steve-oRazor Hey Prophet, Thanks for your question. Once you have set up the failsafe settings in the video all you the have to do is turn off the controller with the off switch. That will kill motors and drop the quad while still alarming the buzzers. If you don't set the safe mode to safe it will be on hold mode and the quad will keep on flying if your controller dies or you turn is off. Hope this help. Peace A

Prophet/steve-oRazor yes you can use the down and right corner on the throttle but I really wouldn't recommend this as it's tricky if your panicking. Also I recommend connecting the quad to you pc and setting the gear switch to being an arm and disarm switch. Me mainly I just cut the power to controller. Have you received your pro yet? Peace A

For "SWITC ON" option, what is the difference between ALLON & NORM?

Gary O'Hare I've just looked into the settings for your quadcopter, most of them are the same as this video that I made for the runner 250 but I'm not 100% sure on yours as I don't have your model to test after configuration. Sorry I can't help you more. Peace A x

Gary O'Hare thanks for the kind comment :) course I can help, test the setting tomorrow and make any notes of what it shouldn't be doing and report to me then I will look into seeing what I can do. Just make sure you read up on failsafe incase you need to drop the quad in an emergency. Peace A x

Eterio Cruz Nothing will automatically be set to the D/R switch you would have to download multiwii software for you quad to be able to assign things to switches. With amend to the throttle curve you will have to go into functions on your controller to adjust this but I would make a back up copy of your controller settings on another program file. Peace A x

Hey man, just subscribed to your page. I hope you can help. I cant get my devo 7 to bind with my furious 215. Had to replace the motors and think I may have reset the system somehow by pressing the little white button on the side of the receiver. Now it just beeps when I connect the battery and the red led flashes slowly. From what I can gather, this means that its not binding. I'm so fed up and I know its most likely a simple fix. I may just put my own receiver in, but not sure I can even do that. Would appreciate any help you could provide. like I said, at this point, I'm ready to smash this thing into a 400$ pile of scrap!!!
Hey Dude, Thanks for the subscribing :) right lets see if we can get this working for you! Sounds like we need to do a fixed ID, try this - Plug lipo into quad - turn controller on - find model tab on main screen - enter that menu and scroll down to fix ID - turn this to on - code will show up - then push down to run and click yes - when stops turn controller off and then back on this should bind the quadcopter. Thanks so much for your help. Its so hard to find anyone who knows how to work on this quad, so I tried following you directions several times but still no luck. Any other ideas?? Can I put my own receiver into this drone. It says that you can, but doesn't tell you how to do it. I would really rather avoid having to do this since this is the only walkera I on and paid a good amount for tis transmitter. Thanks man.
How do you activate the fail safe mode?
Prophet/steve-oRazor Hey Prophet, Thanks for your question. Once you have set up the failsafe settings in the video all you the have to do is turn off the controller with the off switch. That will kill motors and drop the quad while still alarming the buzzers. If you don't set the safe mode to safe it will be on hold mode and the quad will keep on flying if your controller dies or you turn is off. Hope this help. Peace A
The Art Of UAV ahh see I've heard of another way of using a fail safe from helicopter guys using the throttle hold switch to cut power to motors would this also work as a secondary means of fail safe?

Prophet/steve-oRazor yes you can use the down and right corner on the throttle but I really wouldn't recommend this as it's tricky if your panicking. Also I recommend connecting the quad to you pc and setting the gear switch to being an arm and disarm switch. Me mainly I just cut the power to controller. Have you received your pro yet? Peace A

hi I have a question for u I have a Walkera rodeo 110 mini fpv race drone with the Devo 7 transmitter n it's a bnf when I got it n I hit some kind of button on the tx n the Drone is still beeping 😢 n I hit the reset button on the drone still beeping 😢 n I have a bind plug fo it to do I put it in the sbus plug to re binding it to the Drone to re binding it?
