My favorite part about the ending is Bowser's body language. When Geno first has to go away, he just smirks and crosses his arms while everyone waves good-bye. Then during the fireworks show, he gives a genuine smile and waves as he leaves again. Even he gave up the tough guy act for two seconds.
This remake was perfect, and the the ending was no different. I'll remember this playthrough forever and play this game again and again for the rest of my life. I'm so happy it was remade for a new generation without taking anything away from the original 💖💖
As someone who also has the original as my #1 game of all time, the music in the remake absolutely broke me. I bawled like a child at all of the remade music, and it's really hard not to cry at your reactions to them.
I beat the main story just now.
Not at one point in the story was I ever bored, maybe one time I was like Bowser's 6-Door Challenge should be less confusing for the puzzles and shorter for the battle courses. But this was an incredible game. Everything is so charming and the recreation of the art style and the updated music is perfection. Plus, it isn't that long if you do minimal side stuff so it respects your time! THIS IS HOW YOU DO A FAITHFUL REMAKE. THE ENDING GOT ME A BIT EMOTIONAL TOO.
Watching along with your reactions was great too! I learned just a bit about a lot of things from someone who has a clear passion for her favorite game ever!
It was nice to finally see Geno and Mallow one last time in an official capacity.

1:56:12 Man! Battling Smithy music is so good!!! I already love it. That should be added on smash bros ultimate. I listen to it over and over again. I can't stop listening to it. It's so good! Now battling smithy is already my favorite music now. I'm glad I bought super mario RPG remake. Worth the purchase 👍
I was right there crying w you in the end :'). It's a sad and happy feeling finishing the game bc it's over, but happy you saved the mushroom kingdom.

It was great to see your entire playthrough in full. I was moved as well. Having never owned a SNES I had no idea there was such a thing as a Super Mario RPG, you were the one who showed it to me. This remake was really made from the heart.

The ending was so beautiful and perfect. I loved Bowser’s character development as demonstrated through the ending. 💚
I’m not gonna front. I got really choked up, teary eyed when Geno reverted back to being just a doll again and Bowser even wanted to see Geno off. Beautiful ending. I loved the original game as a kid. But this remake to me is THE definitive version. The cinematic cutscenes really drive home what’s happening within the story and really made the ending super emotional ♥️
Ok I'm just at the part where the star road was reformed, but so far my main 2 gripes are the removed card seeds for everyone, and also they actually skipped my favorite detail from the ending cutscenes when Geno goes back to being a doll. My favorite part was how from the star pieces collected screen, they would all change and intermingle their colors, and then slam down all around Geno, and him being so happy and dancing around while the stars went around him faster and faster and faster still, until leaving nothing behind except the doll, which is I think a much more emotional and interesting imagery, with just a hint of worry or horror to it, then him just leaving the body and going up to fix the star road, they should have kept it in.
I forgot about the stars dancing around Geno in the original! Like they were happy and thanking him for getting them all back. I can forgive that since they took that time to show Geno "saying goodbye" to his friends, but it would have been cool to leave that in, yeah. I think the scenes they added to and extended are well worth the tradeoff, specifically Mallow holding the Geno doll all the way to the end, and Mallow and Bowser joining Peach and Mario on the star float. 🌟
@@PeachyPlays oh yeah, not saying the rest is unappreciated or anything, I absolutely have no problems with all of that, I'm very happy, but they could have definitely left the stars doing that in while keeping all the new stuff as well. The only reason why that was cut I can think of is the fact the music wasn't long enough for all of that plus the new stuff, but I may be stretching it. Also the fact geno didnt say goodbye has the effect of the cast actually being sad and worried, we don't get it now anymore before geni star moves and says goodbye to them individually. Now they say goodbye twice in a Row which is a bit silly lol. Before it was a fake out death/sacrifice and everyone was worried before geno star reassured them and said goodbye, now he says goodbye, and then he does again as star. The og had definitely much more punch and things going on. It's weird, this is like the only time a cutscenes was actually changed instead of just adding new stuff or details
Despite having beaten the Remake already, I was right there with you - laughing, crying, and cheering - throughout the ending and credits. I thoroughly enjoyed watching your playthrough and getting to experience this sort of nostalgia alongside someone else (an emotion that I usually only feel in solitude). Thank you for streaming and uploading these! Awesome that you got to see all of Smithy's spells, haha. Now can we please have Mallow and Geno as full characters in other Mario games, Nintendo?
