thanks for this wonderful analysis of this amazing solo. Favino is an amazing player. And I agree that his left hand is such an amazingly powerful and precise right hand (if that makes sense). And still his playing is very musical.
sorry pal I can't believe I wasn't subscribed. Great content/production as always.
We take the astounding quality and fine detail of your video lessons for granted now, yet one step beyond into this stunning solo. Great stuff thanks Christiaan.
Absolute beauty this solo! Thanks man.
Sos un capo campeón !! Saludos desde Argentina!!!
Great stuff... looking forward to your diving into the Forbach style..
Hey that s from my video! I recognized it immediately
Wow ! Beautiful phrasing for sure there's a lot of Django in that.. played violin as well awesome
Please dive deep into Forbach/Alsace style it is my favorite!!! I would like to hear more about the differences between the different regional styles, dutch school vs Forbach vs Germany they all have their own accents
yes! id love some discussion of tico weiss especially, theres some vids on youtube of him and favino lorier that i really like
Yes, Tico is next!! Good guess!
YEAH!
One half of the brain: Ready? Go!!, this start note, next root, min6, next root, nice trick, next root aim the 7th, play a min6 downwards arpeggio, keep technique, right hand!! come on keep up!
The other half: Party mode enjoying the swinging.
OK, I just have to ask this (and I suspect I won’t like the answer): How long does it take you to get a crazy solo like this under your fingers and up to speed?
Usually about 15 to 30 min to have tab in a publishable layout and one to two hours to learn the solo. This one wasn't that hard, the Pansch Weiss solo was way harder. That one probably took like 4 to 5 hours.
Wow. That’s amazing. It takes me quit a bit longer just to get it under my fingers even with you spoon feeding it to me. You have some serious skills!
Great stuff. I love your channel. .....but how do you know these players did the big jump (3.30) ? did they do it live? ....or just on a recording? Sometimes the solos on a record are cut together from multiple takes. The producer / engineer cuts the best bits together,
No improvising self respecting musician would ever do that........ever.......A pop or a rock musician that writes their solo would potentially do that..
It's a live video recording. The link is in the description of the video!
@@ChristiaanvanHemert Ah yes! Thanks
