How come when it gets to maj7, min7, 9 #11, 7 b9, 7 #9 #5, 13 #11, min11, min9, 9sus, etc. you see only guitar charts and piano keys which are not very useful for sax players. I like to find a resource that spells out all the relevant notes on treble key staff regarding above chords / scales, whatever you name it but all the relevant notes spelled out on the staff. Thank you.
If you check out the Jamey Aebersold books, on the bottom of each chart, the chords are laid out - I think that's what you may be looking for? If not, let me know...
I explain that in more depth in my Jazz Improvisation Explained course. It will be open for enrollment soon. Here's the link for the waitlist: donnaschwartzmusic.com/jiewaitlist
I don't think this is very clear for beginners like myself. It really does not explain which ones to get down before learning some of the esoteric ones.
I’m so glad you’re still uploading
Thank you for sharing your incredible knowledge with us

This is brilliant Donna. Really really helpful. Thank you!
Great, clear and much appreciated.

Where can I find sheet music for the scales you discussed (alto)?
Great stuff. Need to make the time or I will never get better
Hey Vinny, Just structure your practice time and set weekly goals - I go over this in my Practice Smarter course.
Are you explaining the altered scale more in your next series?

I think I made it clear when I gave the exact order for learning scales...
This is where lessons with a private teacher will help you
Practice Smarter course, I need to be smart first. Lol

Only two whole-tone scales
