I heard this a week ago on Pandora while working, I was laughing rediculously the whole time but after couldn't find it anywhere. I'm so glad I finally found it! This is awesome!
I do civil war reenacting and I'm part of the Irish Brigade. My Aunt and Uncle made it a tradition to listen to this song and other Irish songs on the way to events. This is probably my favorite.
My wonderful friend who introduced me to this version has just passed, bless his heart. Had to give a play for him. God bless your heart Mooney, you will be missed
So I'm not allowed to listen to this at work because according to my boss, I look like a sociopath about to shoot up the place when I'm trying not to burst out laughing.
Zod, this version of this song is hilarious. I can be in the worst mood ever, and this will always make me laugh. God bless Darby O'Gill. A fine bunch of gentlemen.
@chemzen You can find all of Darby O'Gill's CDs for purchase on their website, Just Google Darby O'Gill band and you'll find it. Try the live CDs, they're hilarious
This is actually the version from the album "Waitin' For A Ride" not "Driven To Drink" as advertised. I'm buying the right album this time, but it would have been nice to get the right one the first time. There's more audience, and more audience participation lines in "Driven to Drink" like duck calls when the guy "ducked his head." All in all, I'm glad to buy both albums from an independent sales site because the band gets more of the dollars that way.
I’d love to know what he says right after the song ends (he says it after several songs)...something like, “how was the old one” to which the people say something...
I want to get the live version of this off of the Driven To Drink (Live) cd...its so much better to have the crowd be the ones saying the spoken lines and do the clapping
I believe it's "How was your one" and the crowd responds "Dream on" as a reference to the book 'Finnegan's Wake' that basically takes place in a dream.
My upbringing tells me I shouldn't be amused by this...but I was cracking up the whole time! Is there something wrong with me, or are the artists just that talented?
I'm a day early but it's great to see ya'll again! Happy St. Patty's 2024!
"And left her sprawling on the floor....now that's a position we've all seen her in many times before under more favorable circumstances..."

“This song; as most of our songs, has nothing what ever to do with squirrels:(and this time we mean it.)
Can't stop laughing....
"Yeah, both of them!"
I want to get the live version of this off of the Driven To Drink (Live) cd...its so much better to have the crowd be the ones saying the spoken lines and do the clapping

Right in the middle of the street, he was homeless!
It wasn't the fall that killed him. It was that sudden stop at the end!
Bout time he got engaged
I know I'm a bit late, but I've uploaded the live (Pandora) version if you're interested.
Why isnt this on Spotify?!
What do they say at the end?? I have to know! 3:28
3:38 is that jackie the jokeman?
I have to know; what do they say at 3:28 and what does the crowd respond? They say this in a few songs and I can never understand it!
Where? I can't find it anywhere.
why are there several minutes of silence at the end of the video?
if i remember correctly there is also some conversation at the end that the uploader probably removed.
