Great to see you back in the shop Gord. And giving all of us some very useful information. You take care my friend and see you when you feel up to it. Gary
I clicked the Like button because I like seeing my friend Gord in the shop! In todays video, I liked seeing this very cool modification! I also liked the cleaning tips! Shoot, there's only one Like button! Take good care, buddy! Really good to see you, TWICE this week! 😊 Phil
Gord, I don't have a laser engraver and probably never will. I don't have room in my shop without getting rid of something. But I do enjoy watching and learning what can be done with them. Good to see you up and around again. Cheers.
That certainly is a good machine. And you are doing a great job of showing off it's capabilities. Glad to have you back. I hope the chemo is doing it's job. Take care my friend. It really is good to have you back. 🙂🙂
I’m glad you liked it, Glen. This was probably the last video I will do with this machine. It’s getting to be one of the older ones in the xTool line and I will be going on to the S1 next. I did a review on it quite a few months ago and I’m looking forward to going back and doing more work with it. Thanks for watching, my friend. …..Gord
You are so right, Todd. I must admit sometimes I let routine maintenance take a backseat to my need to rush through projects. It’s actually very nice to be able to slow down and do some of that. Have a great week, yourself, my friend. Thanks for watching!
Hi Gord, we have a similar cleaner over here in the UK, its called Elbow Grease and is a fantastic cleaner if you have the patience to leave it to do its work for a little while. The honey comb locating parts are a brilliant idea, I don't have the same machine as you but I'm going to try and make a set to fit mine now I've seen how easy and successful they are, whilst your laser was cutting them out I was thinking to myself why are they being cut all wiggly, then I realised we were viewing it through the extraction hood lol, nice to see you around my friend hope you are feeling better, Neil
Elbow grease? That sounds like a lot of work to me. I much prefer to have something to do the work for me. The laser enclosure certainly does distort the image. I’m glad you figured it out. LOL Thanks for watching, Neil. …..Gord
Hi Gord, Thank you for sharing all this wwonderfull information and tip. When you where talking about the "Dawn powerwash" you allmost sounded like Mike from Amazing discoveries 😂. Just kidding...... greetings from Holland
So happy to see another video so soon. I use dawn power wash on my counter tops. Definitely great stuff. You look great 😁 Is that a CKUA t-shirt? Great station 🎶
Yes, it’s a CKUA T-shirt. I think I’ve had it for about 25 years. You are right, this dawn power wash seems to be great stuff. This was the first time I ever tried it. Take care of yourself, kid. Thanks for watching!
While I am a big believer in tool maintenance, Billy, there is something to be said for the “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” theory. Thanks for the kind words, my friend.
Fantastic to see to back on YT Gord. I'm nearly ready to start using my LM3 now having a similar cover and smoke extraction sorted as well. Great little holder for the bottom sheet and honeycomb my friend. I can't see the link for them in the description. Take care Gord and really great to see you again. Cheers, Huw
I’m sure you will have a lot of fun once you start using that laser engraver. Sorry, I forgot to include the link in the description and will care take of that as soon as I get to my computer later this morning. it is still very early here, but my insomnia has given me another night of no sleep. I don’t want to take a chance on waking my wife by starting the computer up. Check in a couple of hours and I hope to have it done. Thanks for watching, Huw! …..Gord
Hey Gord, great to see you again and thanks for the tip. I have wondered if those fabric zippered enclosures contain the smoke well enough to be properly exhausted? The enclosed models are so darn expensive! Be safe and continue to get better.
Hi Dick, Yes, the zippered enclosure seems to work very well. You are certainly right about the hard enclosed models. They are very expensive! Thanks for the kind words, my friend. Take care, …..Gord
Nice set of tips Gord, will have to find what your cleaner equivalent is in the uk. I just screwed wooden stops to my base so i can remove honeycomb and plate and then they go back the same. Great to see you in the shop again. Cheers Geoff
That sounds like a perfect solution, Geoff. As long as the honeycomb panel and the laser engraver can't move you will always have the same alignment. Your solution also sounds much easier to implement. I'm sure you must have an equivalent cleaner over there! Thanks for watching, Geoff. Take care, .....Gord
You are definitely putting the laser to good use already modifying a different creators design. Lathe tool holders and chuck storage can be right around the corner.
Great to see you back in the shop Gord. And giving all of us some very useful information.
You take care my friend and see you when you feel up to it.
Gary
This guy needs to stop with all of his effective laser burner videos or I'm going to end up with one in my shop.😊
Thank you for the kind words, Gary! I truly appreciate you, my friend.
I'm going to take that as a compliment, Jay, whether you meant it that way or not! Thanks buddy! 😎😎
It is a wonderful treat to see that you are back to making stuff. I hope that your recovery is going along smoothly. Be well!
Thank you very much, Jeff! I appreciate your kind words, my friend!!
Glad you are back. Hope you are feeling better. Praying for continued healing.
Thank you so much, Doug. Much appreciated, my friend!!
Gord, the best part about the video was seeing you back in action. I am happy to see you doing what you like to do. Hang in there, Bud!!
Thank you, I will, John. Thank you for watching, and for the kind words.

LA Awesome cleaner works pretty good too ... inexpensive and available at places like the Dollar Store, etc.
Thanks for the tip, Gerald. I will have to look for that. I hope it’s available here in Canada! Thanks for watching, my friend.
