I’m 38, and my reasons for wanting to be a police officer seem a bit lame- I want a career change, a more rewarding job, currently I’m self employed (black cab driver) but want more security, Id like to work with people again and blah blah 😴. Am I at a disadvantage because I’ve not “always” wanted to be a police officer? Any advice would be much appreciated 🙂
I don't know if my reply to your question is too late, but I would still like to reply by saying that I don't believe it's wrong to show that it's something you did not always want to do. What is being discussed here, is that when did you feel the first personal connection or affiliation of being a police officer, or when the first seed of policing was planted in your mind. I am sure there are many rewarding jobs out there with more security. But what was your personal journey that landed you sitting infront of the panel interviewers. I hope I helped. 🙂

Can I ask your experiences on people wanting to become a Police Officer (Constable) whilst being on any medication like Antidepressants?
