Aww that was a beautiful story so sorry for the chap losing his brother and his sierra was a real classic. Thank you Stu
Heartbreaking, bless him, your probably the first person he’s talked to in days
Sad times is that, F plate is 1989 mate, I had an F plate XR3i back in 1996
My Own Dad died back on 24th May, I still think about all the cars he owned as I was growing up, Austin 1100 then the big 1800 - then he Triumph 2000, after that a Princess then MK5 Cortina, blah blah blah.
He managed to finally buy a brand new car which was an Astra, we'll have to clear his old house and move the car in a couple of weeks, everything now is still sinking in, we ''THINK'' these people will be around forever, I walked away from his hospital bed on Wednesday 22nd May telling him Id see him again on Saturday, sadly he died on Friday 24th May, never thot for a minute that walk away was my last.
Thanks again man.
Bet these old boys enjoy the company mate bless him 👊
Absolute cheek opening the door and looking in the car without asking. 😂
I was thinking that. Going onto someone’s driveway and opening their car door. Be pissed if it was the other way round. Could of waited
Sunday evening in New Zealand and Stokze has a new episode 😀
😂 Thanks for watching. Yes, every Saturday and Sunday, I would absolutely love to travel to New Zealand one day. Keep an eye out 😂😂
Yea you need to do that for sure, some great locations with old cars here. Will be happy to show you.
@@ImStokze兄弟07:12😊那位伯伯是车主么?
You have a good way with the older generation and they probably like the company. Nice one mate
I pass that car every day and ive slowly watched it rot away over the years .the bloke was a top old dude always full of stories .thanks for the video. ....jules mids uk
So sad and my condolences to the gentleman, I would have a go at restoring it if it came up for sale, doors are no issue, can get replacements, it’s the sills and floor pans etc and rear arches too that go badly on the Sierras, a welder’s nightmare as I know haha but I respect he wants to keep it as a memory of his brother in that way I was reading a article where a guy in America was buried in his classic car, burnt fingers scorched hands burnt eye brows it’s happened to me because of my love for classic vehicles. Great video Stokze, keep them coming mate.
I love that you're getting these old guys on the channel as they always have so many stories and they're all so different from eachother to. You're literally the only channel I watch that does this sort of thing and I wouldn't go anywhere else. Keep it up!!
Morning stu what a great little story mate ❤
I remember the very first Sierra I saw in Sheffield in late '82. Just a bog standard one. It just looked so strange compared to the Cortina. People were very fond of the Cortina and it put some off at first. Then there were millions of Sierras. Here we are over 40 years later. Life really flies by 🕊️
Cars started losing there character in that changing .m bikes last real bikes where the bandit 600 type as far as I'm concerned
Our family have had so many Cortina’s and Sierra’s and Granada’s and Transits etc over the years, my parents are now in their seventies and I have my own Ford Cortina MKlV 1978 in dark blue 1.6 L still has it’s pinto engine in it, I agree with you the Sierra’s put a few off for sure but after a while people grew to them , best top spec on the MK1 Sierra was either the RS cosworth or XR4i or the 2.3 Ghia V6 as for MK2’s and Saphire’s it was either the Sierra XR 4X4 2.9 or the RS Cosworth Saphire’s , think the old bill used them too.
Thanks for that stu lovely story but sad to hear the old fellas lose keep up the good work mate top channel 👍👍
I have a peugeot 205 Diesel on a 1992 which is sat in my workshop and its also a memory of my mom who passed away in 2010.
Stu iv gotta say mate I am loving the old Land Rover Discovery, its becoming something of a channel mascot! You should get it sign written with the IMSTOKZE LABELLING???
I love your videos. Greetings from Spain.
Love the registration. F... YUE! 😂
The car could live again one day or be used for spares. no one lives forever 😅
That was brilliant and sad mate, great video and love watching your videos mate 👍
Great video here Stu. Sad story but it goes to show why some cars sit rotting away.
A lot of people here saying the bonnet is "incorrect" it is actually a correct bonnet but for some reason only a few lower-spec Sapphires got them. I have seen them with this bonnet from new.
Also, it's a 1.8 GL and the old chaps' brother passed away in 1996.
Great content and story what a great chap keep up the good work stu 💯👍🚗🏁
What a great old chap world needs more of them mate!!
Garden art has many unknown and passing admirers, your brother has left a memory for many.
I do get tired of people saying ''oh why don't they just get rid of it?'' what some people don't realise is that some things are just sentimental regardless of how much it's worth. Eg i've got a broken clock that belonged to my grandparents. I'll never get rid of it because other than memories that's the only thing i've got left that belonged to them.
Another great video Stu - very sad, but what a lovely old guy letting you film and telling you the back story to his late brother's car.
As with the previous chap with the bikes, you were very patient with him and let him recall facts he probably hasn't spoken about in ages. Just maybe you might have encouraged him to do something to protect the poor old Sierra 😢
Keep up the good work - love these videos 👍👍
Really tearful story stu good chat and still although rusty now can understand his story for the car to remain as is ...👍
What a brilliant story enjoyed thoroughly x
How Ya Stu
The Lad With The Bikes & Lad With The Sierra - I Would Of Done The Same - Its Nice To Be Nice As They Say - Was A Nice But Sad Story To Go With The Sierra - You Were Respectful & Said Sorry For Bringing The Sad Memory Of His Brother Passing - But Were Not To Know The Circumstances When We Go To Places - Great Video My Friend - Look Forward To Next Weekends - Take Care & Stay Safe Out There 😎👍👍👍👍
Morning Stu👍👍
See when it comes to content maybe you won’t get the numbers but I’m sure many a times where you’ve engaged with these people are 10x more worthwhile ✊🏾
What a cool old boy plus sad story behind the car
Sad tale, nice chap
Thank you man, I watched almost all your videos, I really like them and you are a good man.😊
Yes stokze been a minute since i put a comment but would just like to say im glad that even when you lost faith in youtube u still carried on brother the contents banging top in its class keep it coming stokze ❤😊

Morning Stu 🤜🤛
Thanks for sharing brother 🙏
Such a good video bud need more people like u kind and careing ❤
What a lovely fella , he must've seen some changes over the years , probably more bad than good .
We have been given 5his beautiful planet to live on and all we can do is completely destroy it . I dread to think what lied ahead for my kids and and theirs if they ever have them .
Great, great vid as always chief ❤👊
I remember those seat covers...Had them in a Granada once.
Strange that’s it’s got a Sierra front end on ( long bonnet no grill ) as opposed to the correct sapphire short bonnet and grill
I live close to it bro there’s plenty of abandoned cars round here
😢sad but the best history that great video buddy
Love the videos man. Utter class ❤
Great video as always mate love the story along with it tbh 😊
The motor is a 1.8 and has a hatch back bonnet without the sapphire front grille.
im still with ya brother😎✌
keepem coming thanks👍🏼
Great story video 👍
Lovely way to finish the weekend here in Oz ..!!
Thanks so much for watching way over in Australia. It makes it worthwhile, 😊

So it was around 10 year old when it was parked up
That door is is probably not the original, it would explain why it rotted before the others. The roof though, probably started with a scratch down to the bare metal 🤔
That Sierra would make a good will it start
That the wrong bonnet for a Sierra Sapphire should have a small grill under it
Wasn't that the later ones ?
Never seen one rot out in those places before.
The sills look pretty good but the door tops and roof, never seen that before.
Looks like a poorly prepared replacement door. may have had a door skin. The hole in the roof probably started as a bare metal scratch 😅
@@deanosaur808 They were rot boxes like all Fords.
Looks like a early micra wheel trim
Wrong bonnet for a sapphire . I think she’s too far gone to live again . Sad story but can understand why he won’t sell it. Another great video
How is that the wrong bonnet?Looks original to me tbh the front end of the hatch and sapphire was face lifted in 1987 so it’s correct
That will have the CVH engine in is as my grandad had a G plate 1.8 one and that had that engine
That serria is pasted it it's a shame being a low mileage but it's not a pinto looks like a cvh one but haveing it sat there from when he's brother died reminder every day for years is a little odd but thats hes choice shame its not been sat in a garage but was nice of him to speak to you the Ldv looks tidy and good to hear that hes still active and healthy and how respectful you was stu 👍
How long do they need to be laid up for to qualify, my Impreza track wagon has been laid up for almost a year waiting some resto work
Have tried to go to kittiwake drive farm that's got a story.
La vie est courte.... reste les souvenirs
Nostalgia
👍😎👊🏻🔥💚
A shame to see, standard Sierras are very rare now. I presume it must have been damaged at some point to end up with a 5 door/Estate front end
There's still quite a few left.. 13,000 at least
Listening to someone from the midlands area say that Fords were rusty before they were painted is real funny, given that the cars being made in that area, British Leyland, Austin Rover, were far worse than any Ford,
Stop nitpicking 😂 I'm sure he would say the same if it was Leyland etc. doesn't matter where he is from
The old owner wasn't named Ken was it? My ex girlfriend her dad had that very car the exact same car a coincidence because my dad passed un 98
Guess ull never know but serendipitously cld be right
Its not a 1.6, its a 1.8 CVH,
1.8 lean burn CVH for sure 👍
Can’t stand all the adds
Yes stokze been a minute since i put a comment but would just like to say im glad that even when you lost faith in youtube u still carried on brother the contents banging top in its class keep it coming stokze ❤😊
No, thank you for sticking with the channel. Without friends like yourself, I couldn't do this, so thank you
