How about a video using just a plain depth finder( green box) to find walleyes on a new lake. Many of us can’t afford the gear you use. Forward facing sonar is fine( except the pros) cuz 50% will never figure it out and for the 50% that do they’ll release most fish anyway. You do a great job and are very entertaining.BTW I’m 71.

Tom, love your videos. Can you make a video on how to find walleye for those of us who don't have the side scan and other tech that you have. All I have is a basic depth finder on a kayak.

Just want to say I love your content BUT everything now is geared towards FFS and to be honest I'm just a regular working stiff and don't see it in my near future and I'm sure I'm not the only one in this situation. Me and my buddies call it "The rich man's toy". I'm not hating on it but just not practical for a lot of us weekend anglers.
We just filmed a video on just using side imaging that should be beneficial. Should be on walleye now in the next couple days

Awesome video Tom. To build on some of the questions about boat positioning, would be great if you could do one of your Shop talk videos with a whiteboard just showing boat positioning with wind relative to a weed line, structure, etc.
We are working on something like that for walleye now

I’ll be fishing a new lake this weekend. It looks like a section of a big meandering river. Max depth is 25 FOW. Not many flats or bottom features on the contour map. If I cant find structure, I plan to look for weeds.
That or bust out the trolling rods and cover water

Gulp half crawler is exactly what I use for my search Bait and other rigs
They work good but ya go through almost as many as you would night crawlers

Musky now is not in the works. It kinda depends . Generally around 70 degrees we begin to see mid summer patterns atarting
