I have made similar bracelets and I use a couple of short beads (1/3 and 2/3 the length) at the beginning and the end. Makes it easier to get started.

I bought an extruded from hobbycraft… geezo you’d have to be the worlds strongest person to be able to use it as it’s like a syringe. Needless to say I’ve since bought one from Amazon. YEEHA I used it as soon as I unpacked it lol. May make a rainbow bracelet. Thank you for showing how to :)
