      @@HumanWritesRodBergYou’re not that bright. 38/3 averages to about 12.66 unforced errors per set and most players playing 3 sets have at least 15 unforced errors per set. That was impressive , she held her emotions in check and stayed focused. IGA need to know that on gras, slice + net play often are the key to victory. I'm surprised, because I know that IGA can execute good drop shots, decent slices and net play, she did it very well in juniors and at the start of her pro career. It's odd that she barely use it now. Anyway, Yulia fully deserved that win, She mopped the floor with her opponent.

    • @0nFoot
      @0nFoot 15 днів тому +5

      It's not odd that she stopped using drop shots. In many ways it has been the key to her many successes in the last two and a half years. One defeat on grass against an inspired opponent doesn't change anything. Watch out for Iga at the Olympics and on the US hardcourts

      When her game changed from natural style that made her beat Halep at the French Open I stopped cheering her on. I believe she would be winning more with her natural or should I say original style, plus her love for the game has diminished since they made her into a "machine".

    Not the most gracious way of describing your victory, It takes two to tango in tennis. You cannot say you won it and she had not part in losing it when clearly she was mentally having a breakdown and not keeping it together. Bothe players in tennis will always play a part in the overall result.
    Her comment did not give a very good impression as a sportswomen, it was rather ungracious and neither humble or modest. Its a shame to see such a comment after a great performance by her, she clearly has some work to do off the court on herself!

I mean absolutely no preparation, before the grass season by not playing a single grass tournament. I 'am actuall surprised she did't give up in the first round againt Kenin just like she pulled out of Bod Homburg in the semi final before Wimbledon last year. Yeah that's the case with everyone who beats IGA, they just think they have nothing to lose and play like underdogs.. That says a lot about IGA...

    What a horrible question to ask her how she feels about Iga personally. It’s baiting a woman is trying to say something negative about another woman on a personal level just so they can write about a cat fight. Let this lady revel in her success and leave Iga be.

  • @pioterer79

    Grass is the only place when player like Putintseva can beat Iga. On hard or clay that kind of tennis simple doesnt work on lga. You need to have powerfull serve and very agressive baseline hitting to beat her. Fancy play work only on grass.

    Iga lost this match. Just look at her record when she wins the first set. Yulia played consistent. She'll need that consistency if she hopes to get by Ostapenko .

    If IGA never wins Wimbledon, she'll never be considered one of the all time greats! IGA has to figure out her rest and grass practice after Winning the French Open! It's the hardest TWO Slam sequence to Win due to the world exteme surface change! Some past champions even missed French to try n win Wimbledon, but IGA will never do that as winning the French is almost a certain Slam for her! And Nadal is her idol! This should have been IGA v Rybakina Final with no Sabalenka! Missed opportunity for IGA, as this may have been her best chance! 😮

    Whats really starting to annoy me about Swiatek is she is now using the comfort break as a full time break to break the momentum of her opponent , taking her book ALL her equipment , turned into na 7 minute break , when its a two minute break between sets or a 3 minute with toilet break ..... cheating
