This is why all of this should be medically regulated. There’s too many hacks out there doing this to innocent customers and clients. This didn’t for the general public to be expected to know.
Oh absolutely, how are we supposed to know who’s skilled and who’s just playing? Going off prices isn’t a foolproof method either, it’s really just a game of chance right now and if you get it wrong your face might fall off.
Love the honesty of this doctor! Aesthetician going on 30 years. I’ve seen it all. Med spas are one of the problems. They pay a Dr a monthly fee to use their license. If anything goes wrong, it is the owner of the facility NOT the doctor or even the practitioner who is responsible. Most doctors don’t ever even visit the facility ! Also many buy cheaper solutions from China. It’s very difficult to sue a med spa. But this also happens in physician’s office. There are only antidotes for hyaluronic fillers. If a artery or vein is accidently injected and it is not caught in time or there is no antidote, the patient can go blind or necrosis can set in and they can actually lose a nose or part of the face. Google it- you will see many cases of this.
Good. You are a fool if you go injecting fkn chemicals INTO your face. Back in the day doctors would prescribe heroin for kids who were teething or had problems sleeping. So doctors don’t always know best
I got Sculptra in my piriform fossa, so it’s generating my own collagen. It looks more natural and you eliminate the filler migration issue. I did a ton of research on this and where to request injections. In my research, volume loss in this area can also lead to the tip of the nose dropping, which can make our noses look bigger as we age and a bit more witch-like. This is a lot of the reason I had it done; but also just to promote more facial harmony. I’m 38 and noticed my nose was looking a lot larger.
😂🤣🤣that Cindy Lu Hoo analogy was funny, but the Cindy Lu Hoo image shoved in our faces with no warning made me cackle so loud I feel embarrassed laughing that hard!
I just got Botox for the first time last week and I do look like Cindy Lou Hou!! So upsetting that I have to let it run its course and I have clients every day plus you can’t say all your words correctly. Wish I would have said No when asked if I wanted a lip flip when I only went in for a facial! I’m 64!
It's rare, very few use an US, and that is because it's simply not cost and time efficient, although I agree on the use of an US, adds a layer of security for the patient and the Dr and let's you be more precise with the treatment, a win win situation.
Yeah as soon as she said that I thought, this is why no one does it this way then unfortunately. But I would much rather be careful over cheap when it comes to this kind of thing.
I was born with these lol. My children have had these since they were little as well. Could it be because of our high cheekbones? I am native American.
Very informative! Thinking of all these women doing DIY with all sort of things, not harmless (even seen woman putting in threads themselves on YT🤯) and they have no idea what they're doing and could easily puncture an artery.
Getting old sucks in general but watching time absolutely ravage your once beautiful face is incredibly depressing to be honest. My dear mama aged naturally (her appearance was the least of her worries) but she even remarked that she didn’t recognize the old lady looking back at her in the mirror. This realm destroys everything, including our bodies.
People often emphasize how 'natural' aging is, but plenty of other natural processes, like arthritis, are degenerative too! And we actively fight those. So why not aging, which is literally just the biological breakdown of our bodies?
I was taught it’s best in that area to put the filler on the bone to avoid the artery but the US guidance is a great idea! Thank you for your content ❤
Great advice for anyone considering this. I am not, I decided to embrace my age as it comes along. And yes I wish I would look as yiuthful as I feel but I am happy with how God made me - more concerned with the inside than the outside 😊💜🙏✝️

My first time with Botox and around mouth I look like Cindy Lou Hoo! Never again it has affected my speech terribly and I have to see clients daily. It’s been very embarrassing. And the lady I went to is a big fan of yours so I texted her this so it will not happen again. I told her that I’m scheduled for a facelift on December 4th. I went in for a facial but she talked me into Botox said it wouldn’t last long!
Thank you so much for the advice doctor. I usually apply a light shade concealer in that area you just described but I’m seriously considering getting fillers for a long lasting look as makeup is just an illusion.
What course of action would you take for extremely deep nasolabial folds? I got mine done a few years ago, mine were very deep and the result of genetics. I had them since i was young, i got them injected first at 30. The injector injected into the lines as well as the area you highlighted. To give an idea of how severe they were, it took 3 full vials to fill them, and even still they were still somewhat apparent. If I could post pictures before/after I would. It did look heavy initially but when the swelling went down it looks super natural, I guess because of the amount of volume I was initially lacking. Even 3 years later, with no top ups, the filler is still partially intact. Definitely lessened but not gone and no where near how my face looked naturally.
How about beauty from the inside out with eating right, living right and taking collagen peptides for a more youthful appearance in your face and hair.
Hello i asked my practitioner to do it like you explained (near the nose) and he told me this would add volume and that this would not look natural ... What do you think please?
Where do those filler fall and settle over time?🤔 And how does that look like? Just end up with smile lines all over again but other part of your face is big from the settled filler?
Information that nobody ever tells you. Thank you so much for sharing!
