#bookrecommendations - Навчання та стиль
If you ever want a cozy and magical book that's perfect for the fall you should read The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern!
Absolutely amazing book!
I don't know if you read Six of Crows before but I love the duology so much. It's in the Shadow and Bone universe but its the best part.
Ooh! Erica Spindler writes great thrillers, and White Rabbit was amazing! And for horror I cannot recommend Brian Keene enough. The Rising was amazing, and Dead Sea (both zombie books) has some incredible twists and turns. Joe Hill is also great for horror. It’s less gore and a lot more psychological. He has a book that’s a collection of 4 short stories called Strange Weather that was incredible. It’s more the Ray Bradbury horror vibe than like an Ed Lee horror vibe.
I think T Kingfisher is right up your alley. She writes light horror, and I think you'd like her.
You should read Archer’s Voice! It’s honestly one of my favorites!
Just ignore the comments about which authors to read and not to read. Other readers have to understand that everyone has different preferences when it comes to reading. I love that you got back into reading! And these recommendations are so good!
1. a book you tell people is your favorite: Memoirs of a Geisha
2. a book that is your guilty pleasure: Fourth Wing
3. a book everyone loved but you didn't: ACOTAR
4. a book you read the fastest: HP 7
5. a book that deserves more hype: Girl made of Stars
6.a book that is becoming a movie/tv show: Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo
7. a book you have reread the most: Memoirs of a Geisha
8. a book from a genre you don’t typically read: The Strange Library
9. a book that deserves all the hype it gets: The Way of Kings
10. a book you usually recommend when asked to give a recommendation: Anything Sebastian Fitzek
11. a book that has your favorite character(s): Starcrossed
12. a book you wish you could live in: Harry Potter
13. a book you thought you would hate but ended up loving: Fourth Wing
14. a book that made you cry: Me Before you
15. a book you wish you could read for the first time: The Seven Lives of Evelyn Hardcastle
Memoirs of a Geisha is also one of my all time favorites! A great book to read over again.
I recommend the “blood and ash” and “flesh and fire” series by Jennifer L Armentrout read blood and ash first then the other. Also “the serpent and the wings of night” series by Carissa broadbent.
I added two books to my already long list of books to read 📖
My favorite videos you do! Some of these books I need to read asap cause I’ve wanted to read them for SO long!
Hearing about a town called Knockemout reminds me of the town Knockemstiff from the book The Devil All the Time. I don't know if its your cup of tea, but I loved it and the movie is really good as well.
Jodi Picoult has always been one of my fave authors. I’m currently reading the Alice Hoffman Practical Magic series and I’m OBSESSED!
This was so fun!!! I love love love that you do book videos now! 🙌🏻💜📖✨
When you start buying again, check out Jacqueline Carey. I love all of her books but the Kushiel series is my absolute favorite! It's 10 books total, 3 trilogies and new one was released recently from a different characters perspective. Jacqueline is amazing at world building. You've got fantasy, enemies, lovers, intrigue, all the things... Woven so well together!! I have read them several times. Big books though.
1 A Little Life
2 The People We Meet on Vacation
3 The Fault in our Stars
4The Song of Achilles
5 Commonwealth by Ann Patchett
6 The Thursday Murder Club
7 The Shining
8 Red White and Royal Blue
9 I'm Glad My Mom Died
10 The Marriage Portrait
11 the House in the Cerulean Sea
14 The Postcard
15 Gone Girl
An oldie but goodie-I would recommend the HeraldMage Trilogy by Mercedes Lackey 🧙 🐎✨ 📚
Because of you i read The Dead Romantics, and I adore it, i cryied my soul out, but it was such a good book on of my new favorites. I know this is chanel about makeup, and i really love your looks, but i adore when you talk about books also. Have a wonderfull fall girl. 🕸
AoSF is one of the best books! Definitely worth the hype!
If you loved Twilight you might like Soft Flannel Hank by Eliza MacArthur! It's a bit of a spin on Twilight with Bella's "dad" as the main character. It is definitely one of the best books I've read so far this year and fits so many of these prompts for me personally
Currently reading Kingdom of the Cursed and then I'll get Kingdom of the Feared. I love them!
I read two blood dagger brotherhood books by J R Ward over Labor Day weekend, Lasher took days and Viper on Monday lol. I also love the Outlander books. Even though most of them are long they’re a quick read for me.
I think I'm gonna have to agree with you on The Love Hypothesis. I'm about halfway through it right now and it's just mid to me. It feels way more awkward than it does cutesy.
One book that I think deserves more hype is Boyfriend Material by Alexis Hall. Fake dating, kind of enemies to lovers, queer rom-com. It's so funny and cute. As much as I enjoyed Red, White, and Royal Blue, I personally think Boyfriend Material is even better. And definitely also deserves a movie 😂
Okay love this tag and totally want to do it, maybe even with a specific genre theme (like Dark Romance or throwback picks)
📚I haven’t read any of these books yet, but I added A Court of Thorns & Roses, Love & Other Words, and Shady Hollow to my want to read list. I also added The Night Circus which was recommended in the comments below. Two recommendations I can suggest are the Wildwood series by Colin Meloy, and Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine (an odd story with a good twist which I found strangely good!). Kate Morton writes really good books if you want to try a new author.
you're so right that those of us who watch/create these kinds of book tag videos we just GET each other 😊📖📚📖📚😊 i hadn't come across this tag yet so it was really cool to see, thanks!
I enjoy reading so much. I have read 85 books starting January 1st. I definitely read some of the books you mentioned as my genre is RomCom, historical fiction and thrillers, and paranormal. But for some reason, I just can't get into fantasy although I love the books Alice Hoffman writes, I guess I haven't received any recommendations for fantasy that would make me love them. Hope you are enjoying Disney with the other creators you're with! 😘💜
Another rec that Apple is making into a movie- Lessons in Chemistry. The book was so good I wept watching the trailer. 📚 ❤
LOVE this tag! i know you mentioned you're on a book ban which i totally respect, but when you're in the market for a new thriller i highly recommend the only one left by riley sager. easy 5 star read for me, i think i might like it more than the house across the lake!
My genre preferences are slightly different, but not super far off, mostly adult fantasy, sci-fi and horror.
1. a book you tell people is your favorite: A Feast for Crows by George RR Martin
2. a book that is your guilty pleasure: Hard to find one ... I guess The Halloween Tree by Ray Bradbury is a children's book, but I read it almost every October.
3. a book everyone loved but you didn't: The Blade Itself by Joe Abercrombie (also special shout out to close runner up Dune by Frank Herbert)
4. a book you read the fastest: Shadow of the Gods by John Gwynne
5. a book that deserves more hype: Shadow of the Gods by John Gwynne (is this cheating? 😅)
6.a book that is becoming a movie/tv show: Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman is going to get a series!
7. a book you have reread the most: The Cats of Ulthar by HP Lovecraft
8. a book from a genre you don’t typically read: The Water Dancer by Ta-Nehisi Coates - Historical Fantasy, 90% historical 10% fantasy
9. a book that deserves all the hype it gets: Hyperion by Dan Simmons
10. a book you usually recommend when asked to give a recommendation: Leviathan Wakes by James SA Corey (the first book in the Expanse series that I recommend the most)
11. a book that has your favorite character(s): Sword of Destiny by Andrzej Sapkowski (second book in Witcher series) specifically the short story A Little Sacrifice
12. a book you wish you could live in: Dooku Jedi Lost by Cavan Scott (earliest time in Star Wars)
13. a book you thought you would hate but ended up loving: The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss
14. a book that made you cry: The Tender Bar by JR Moehringer
15. a book you wish you could read for the first time: We Need to Talk About Kevin by Lionel Shriver
I just recently got back into reading so this video is perfect!!
By now you've become my BookTok! ❤
1. A book I tell people is my favorite: A House on the Cerulean Sea 🥺
2. Guilty pleasure: monster smut * cough cough*

4. Book I've read the fastest: Not sure, but probably ACOTAR or Forth Wing 😅

13. Book I thought I'd hate: Book Lovers
14. Book that made me cry: Honestly so many lol
15. A book I wish I could read again: the 3rd ACOTAR probably, i can't wait to read more so all my answer arent ACOTAR LOL
Book tag yay! 🎉🎉🎉
I’m currently reading the Crave series. I just started the second one .
If you liked the Good Girls Guide to Murder maybe you might like One Of Us is Lying by K.M McManus it's like a Breakfast Club murder mystery, I also really liked Two Can Keep a Secret.
I loved the love hypothesis! I’m struggling with ACOTAR currently but I’m trying to push through as my best friend loves them ❤
📕📖📘📑📒📔
So far this year I've read almost 40 books. That's the most I've read in a very long time. 😂 Especially with just getting back into reading this year myself.
My books kinda range for this list from middle grade to oldies to more newer releases but its great. 🤣
1. a book you tell people is your favorite- Dork Diaries by Rachel Renee Russell (has been my favorite series since grade school)
2. a book that is your guilty pleasure-The Arcana Chronicles by Kresley Cole (Any one of these books in the series)
3. a book everyone loved but you didn't- A Court of Thorns and Roses.... I'm sorry 😬It just didn't hit the same I guess. To go with something different- Hello Beautiful by Ann Napolitano
4. a book you read the fastest-The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han
5. a book that deserves more hype- (YA) Fresh by Margot Wood; Far From You by Tess Sharpe 😣
6.a book that is becoming a movie/tv show-I honestly don't keep with news like this or in general, so I don't have an answer. 🤦♀
7. a book you have reread the most- Twilight 😝🤣 Literally own the whole book set and the movies too. I used to re-watch them almost every week when I was younger.🤣
8. a book from a genre you don’t typically read-The Fear by Natasha Preston (Thriller/Mystery)
9. a book that deserves all the hype it gets-I'm Glad My Mom Died-Jennette McCurdy; Icebreaker by Hannah Grace
10. a book you usually recommend when asked to give a recommendation-Really depends on what I'm currently reading to avoid saying Twilight again. 🥸🤣🤣
11. a book that has your favorite character(s) The Nanny by Lana Ferguson
12. a book you wish you could live in-City of Bones 😻😝
13. a book you thought you would hate but ended up loving-Beach Read by Emily Henry
14. a book that made you cry-It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover 😔😭😭
15. a book you wish you could read for the first time-Betrayed by P.C.+ Kristin Cast; Alice in Zombieland by Gena Showalter
The Ex Hex was one of the books that got me back into reading too! Just a quick easy read that was cute and funny!
I recently rediscovered the joy of reading with in the last year or so too. It is so nice to escape reality. I find it much harder to get thru books quickly as an adult with a full time job though. I would love to see a video where you talk about reading tips and how you are able to get thru so many so quickly and also talk about your favorite booktubers i am looking for recommendations in that realm! Do you have a Goodreads? If so i would love to follow you on there, I use it just to track my TBR and Read books lists, and follow authors to see about new releases. The review side of Goodreads i could pass on haha people can be so negative and i dont want the bad vibes as part of my reading journey haha! I love your book content because your enjoyment for reading and enthusiasm really comes across, even if you have books you dont like you have a very energetic way of getting that across that always makes me feel excited to read too! ❤ What I'm trying to say is you're awesome and thanks for sharing your personality with us! 😉
I just read whenever I have down time! And always at least a little before bed!
Hailie Barber & Sara Carrolli are the ones I watch most frequently.
I have a Goodreads but I just use it for personal tracking!🖤
I enjoyed gggtmurder and also look forward to reading the next two. Added crave to me list to check out. My most reread are the Harry Potter n hunger games series x
I havent read any of these books but I loved the video!
For Taylor Jenkins Reid apart from Evelyn and Daisy. I really liked Maybe in another life. Carrie Sotto is back, Malibu rising and Forever interrupted are good but less.
Great video! 📖📚
📚 📖 📚
The Good Girls Guide to Murder is soooo good! You can probably skip the other 2 books, the second one was okay but the third one was kind of disappointing.
ACOTAR is Romantasy vibes!
I feel like you should pick up Kim Harrison and Laurell K Hamilton
Just wait until you read throne of glass series…….like WOW. I absolutely have ranked ACOTAR as my favorite series probably since twilight series. But then I read her next series and oh my god I still just can’t believe it. Seriously both series I would reread right now.
I stalled out on acotr (low-key hated the pivots the author made with the characters) so we differ there, but I read and loved Dead Romantics at your recommendation. Try Sylvia Moreno Garcia, she is amazing. Mexican Gothic, or Gods of Jade and Shadow are lovely.
Mexican gothic is one of my favorite books!
@@califrey99 have you read any of her other books? I need to read Silver Nitrate, her latest.
I love Mexican Gothic! Maybe I will pick up Gods of Jade and Shadow next.
I think you might really like Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor.
Also, just an fyi Christina Lauren is a writing pair of friends: Christina & Lauren 😊
I know!!
I'm on my way to read all the Colleen Hoover books so I dont judge you hahaha my fave was Reminders of him and the one i liked the least was Without Merit.
I read her new book Too Late and it was 10/10 👌
📚
📚📚📚
I really wish I could find time to sit down and actually read, but that hasn't happened so I'm still living for audio books. I just started the Bonds that Tie series and I'm obsessed so far! 📖📕
I read Never Never by Colleen Hoover and it was one of the MOST frustrating books I’ve ever read! I was so excited to read it because I had just finished It Ends With Is and It Starts With Us. Definitely not sure if I want to read more of her books 😅
I read a lot. Incessantly even. Some years I finish 250+ books. I’m so excited to have new recommendations. Thank you so much.
I’ve never been inspired to make a UA-cam video, but this is right up my alley. Do people watch book content?
Wait? What’s the issue with Verity? Did I miss like a political issue?
Nothing with verity that I know of, people just hate Coleen Hoover haha
You should try Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating by Christina Lauren! It’s super cute and I’ve actually read it 2 or 3 times! Fun fact: not a correction, I just think you’ll find it interesting - I believe Christina Lauren is actually TWO friends writing together!
I know! So cool!
📖📚
📖📖love this video 🥰
I got back into reading after I got the book Alex by Pierre Lemaitre,it's a bit dark but the twists in it are amazing. Also anything by Claire Douglas and Lisa Jewell. 📚📖📚📖
📜📚📖📜
I love reading! I can go through 100 in a year sometimes. Have you read any books by Karin Slaughter? She's one of my favorites
I haven’t but I’ve gotten some recs!
Read EAST OF EDEN by Steinbeck after your ban. Fantastic. My favorite book of all time.❤️😻
🎀🎀🎀✨✨✨
I don’t understand why people don’t like Colleen Hoover. I love her books. Her books have reignited my love of reading. Have you read any Freida McFadden?
I haven’t!
@@battybean I’d say her genre is thriller and she’s really good at making you think you know what’s going to happen next and then plot twist.
📚😍📚📚📚📚📕📗📙📘📖❤️
I just started listening to “All Hallows” by Christopher Golden and it’s wonderful spooky vibes 🤓👍📚
Wow 😮 70 Books !
