- this is a short video just showing my new super duke r. i picked it up over 2 weeks ago and have covered nearly 1000 miles. it has had its 600 mile service and is now fully run in. i will do a full in detail video showing the features of the bike within the next week and explain what i like and dislike on the bike. I’m going to start uploading every week from now on and improve on my editing to give you better content.

Just got mine 2020 1290R 3 days ago, they forgotten give me owner's manual. I got the Teck package, I just can't figure out how set up the traction control? When you do your next review, go through the electronics a little slower for us older road warrior. I only have 7 kilometers on mine been raining. Cheers brother from Canada, can't wait for exhaust system you got. After first service, I most likely will go with full system, a slip on does nothing and almost 40% of cost of full Akrapovic that give out about 10 up.
Congratulations!! It’s a great bike. Traction control is very easy to change. When you are in track mode in the bottom left corner there will be a number 1-9 and that is your traction control. You can just change it while riding by pushing the + or - button on the controls on the left handle. 9 being nearly full traction and 1 being almost turned off. But I will do a video this week showing more details. 👍🏼 I also didn’t get a manual either and they will send it through the post but it still hasn’t arrived!

Yes it is. The dealership I bought it from put it on there for free when I picked it up. We have the same giant ones here that you get from factory so the first thing most people do is get a tail tidy. It’s made by R&G. Congratulations, it a great bike! You’ll love it! 👍🏼
@@oolucasoo1 right on - I looked briefly at the Evotech tail tidy, but the price is outrageous and it seems like it just shortens the alien arm a bit. On my R1s I have an integrated taillight and a separate license plate bracket on the side - hopefully someone will make an integrated taillight for the SDR soon. Looking forward to your exhaust video. Cheers.
Great bike had a MT10SP but changed it for the super duke and am really happy with it enjoy

That’s the first thing I did is remove the mirrors! It changes the look of the bike instantly. And yes, I’ve purchased an Austin racing slip on as I can’t afford over £2000 for a full system at the moment! 😮😁

Thanks and welcome! Yes, sadly the tank on these scratches almost instantly. In fact the were scratched even in the showroom. There’s just no way of avoiding it, that’s why most people are getting them wrapped. 👍🏼

For me, at least, the insurance for the 890 Duke R is twice as high as the 1290 Super Duke R. Blows my mind, but edges me toward the SDR.

I most probably will but sadly I have a money budget and that would most probably put me over it 😂😂.
If the point was to buy a 200bhp stripped out sports bike he might as well have just got one ..... On the streets and in the twisties and in almost all probable road scenarios it is the torque that gets you goin..... It's the torque that hits you right where you least expect it and makes that lean long smile on your face, and not some crappy pseudo naked bike with 200bhp which needs to be ringed for it to poop out those Newton meters! Plus I've heard that superdukes are waay more reliable than Ducatis! I've had my friend replace the whole clutch assembly of his 2019 panigale V4s while it was still capped under 6200miles!!!
Haha how will the Ducati pass me on my 1290 when no one can get past or even close to me on s1000rr's ? It's all down to the rider..or are you a straight liner? 😂😂
