I flew from London to SF just to see these guys play the music hall down the road from here many many years ago. Played with Estradasphere. Best gig ever.
fantastic... what a way to end the tour. i can be seen a few times in this video on the other end of the stage and my friend and I caught 7.5 (this being the .5) shows this tour. 1st night Estes Park, Dallas and Berkeley being my favorites. i was at SFO just a few short hours later to make it back to texas for the eclipse. out of the hundreds of bands I've seen in my 50+ there is no other as warm, open and friendly with their fanbase than SGM.... and this includes the families and crew. Everyone was a joy. oh, "and you guys really are pretty good". and Viggo is correct to mention Jim Carrey and his "issue" with Room 217. He will not go back to The Stanley.
3:00 Burn Into Light 9:40 Hush Hush 18:13 Matthias is a fun MC! 22:05 The people's champion enters the stage, Viggo Bossi 24:10 El Evil 32:1833:19 Matthias and Nils should do stand up lol 36:00 Helpless Corpse Enactment 38:21 Viggo rockin'
I'm not quite sure what you mean by this remark. The members of SGM thrive on audience interaction. In conversations with them they have all expressed that crowds being "'respectful' and quiet" are the absolute worst. They want dancing and sing-a-long. Years ago I remember audience members in Austin reacting angrily at me yelling "Wake Up" during Sleep is Wrong.... but at the time, in the Bay Area anyway, it was this cue for them to start playing again. They were waiting for it.

This band is really awesome! I'd loved to see them live! They deserves a tour with Tool, Puscifer or Beat (80's KC)
One of the most amazing performers of our time, truly an invaluable thing to witness. Thank you for sharing.
thanks for taping this...as i didn't get to go to this SF event...the berkeley show the night before was great.

Man, Matthias seems really at home with a stripped down kit. He was on fire this set!

The audience can be the worst part of any show...
