As a former Gen V owner (2013 Track Pack car), they are GREAT cars. They do suffer from the standard Viper issues though: leaky oil cooler lines, crappy window regulators (hint - don't use the auto-up/down function, will last longer) and a couple dumb recalls. My Dana 44 diff got a little clunky, was replaced under warranty. I sold mine 3 years ago, just wasn't driving it ( no time). But I sure do miss it. The ACRs are da BOMB for sure. Also, DO NOT let the oil run low. Check it on a level surface, about 5 minutes after shutdown. The dipstick is hard to read. Some of these cars can use 1 quart in 1-2000 miles (Dodge says normal - we Viper guys debated that). Do NOT let the oil get more than 1 qt low if you value your engine.
640 hp/600 lb ft is rated. Weight is about 3300 lbs, by the way.

@@normalguysupercar hit up havik performance for the window regulator upgrade ( they don’t actually do the upgrade but will tell you who to reach out to I forgot the name of that company) and definitely buy the upgraded window bosses from Doug Shelby engineering and you’ll never have to worry about the windows.

Gen V Vipers are the absolute best. It’s a beast with so much character. It offers driving dynamics like nothing else out there. Take it to Prefix for the 9L stroker conversion for a 800+ hp, NA V10 with a manual transmission. It is an absolute monster.

Wish the gen 5 Vipers came with 345/30r20 on 13's and 295/30r19 on 10.5's. Then 305/30r19 on 11's for the ACR. Would be cool if the OEM V10 had a 8.2L(50 cu.in. per cylinder) V10, 104mm/4.095 bore and a 96.4mm/3.795 stroke, and 7000rpm limit/700HP/600ft.lbs.

Steve McQueen and Robert Vaughn were two of the seven gun-slingers protecting a small village in the classic western Magnificent Seven in 1960 and appeared together again in the hit disaster movie Towering Inferno in 1974. All three films are still great to watch. Both actors were very cool and memorable in all three movies. I'm pretty sure McQueen actually did the driving of the famous Ford Mustang in the chase scene in Bullitt. No other male actor was as cool as Steve McQueen. Perhaps Paul Newman was a very close second.

That's a super sharp Viper guys. It looks like you could possibly hit at least 140 MPH in it although I would not try that on a road with curves. I think it will be sold very soon. You guys ROCK!!!! To quote Steve McQueen to Georg Stanford Brown in the 1968 hit movie Bullitt with the famous chase scene--Take it slow!! PS--My girlfriend and I saw it in our downtown theater. The chase scene in it was awesome. McQueen was super cool in it and Robert Vaughn was great as well. It's a classic!!

Well the Americans who care about buying American tend to be too ignorant to know what they’re really buying. They think when they buy a Ram truck or some Silverado that they’re buying this all-American product. Really, those cars are made in Mexico using a bunch of parts from European countries and mostly China. They scoff at us for driving anything with a foreign badge… Meanwhile, their car is coming from the other side of the wall they’re so worried about. No car brand is exclusively made in the country of the brand’s origin. If anything, buying an American car is the least American thing you can do. If they love America so much, they should boycott American cars until they’re exclusively made and manufactured in America by Americans again. Otherwise the only thing you’re supporting by buying “American cars” are the corporate execs who shut down the factories and laid off all the employees decades ago.
